Now that a Shimmer champion has been crowned in Cheerleader Melissa, the first round of the Shimmer tag team title tournament takes place tonight!

SHIMMER TAG TEAM TITLE TOURNAMENT
FIRST ROUND

Global Green Gangsters def. Jessie McKay & Athena

Kellie Skater and Tomoka Nakagawa looked really good together in this one, controlling most of the action. Jessie McKay never got a thing going but was able to hang on and make a tag. Athena pretty much just stayed alive, fighting back. Skater and Nakagawa finally were able to collect the win with Tomoka's CRB on Athena.

Mercedes Martinez & Saraya Knight def. Sara Del Rey & Daizee Haze

Del Rey and Haze quickly took over this one and Mercedes was on the receiving end for quite some time. Haze landed the Mind Trip two times in a row. Mercedes held on and Saraya Knight went to work. After Mercedes' Fisherman Buster it was the Rocking Horse from Knight that put way Del Rey.

The Canadian Ninjas def. Heidi Lovelace & Saturyne

This was a much tougher fight than the Ninjas were expecting. Portia Perez barely escaped the assault of Lovelace at the start of the match. Heidi and Saturyne did more than hold their own. It took Perez and Nicole Matthews quite awhile to finally win this one. A double side slam and a jawbreaker scored the pin on Saturyne.

Madison Eagles & Evie def. Veda Scott & Mia Yim

Evie and Eagles had little trouble in this one, but Scott and Yim did put up a fight. Eagles eventually hit the Hellbound to pin Scott.

The Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew def. The Kimber Bombs

This one turned epic as the four women would not go down to defeat, at least not for a very long time. The time limit neared but the match did come to a finish. Cherry Bomb and Kimber Lee were nearly able to win on attrition alone. Lacey and Rain finally won this one with the Tomikaze on Kimber Lee. (both teams with 8 coins)

MsEerie def. The S-N-S Express

Sassy Stephie and Nevaeh didn't last long. Stephie ran herself into the corner ringpost and MsChif grabbed the pin.

Su Yung & Thunderkitty def. Regeneration X

The first big upset of the tournament. Leva Bates and Allison Danger got caught and are eliminated. Thunderkitty put a series of moves on Bates and grabbed a three count for the win.

LuFisto & Courtney Rush def. Team Blondage

This one was over in a hurry as Rush nailed Krissy Vaine with a T-Bone Suplex and that was it for Team Blondage.

The tag team title tournament will take a week off as the Shimmer Iron Woman Tournament begins next! The winner of this 10 woman round-robin tournament will go to WrestleMania and face the winner of the IWWF Iron Woman Tournament.

Cheerleader Melissa will also defend the Shimmer title in every match during the IronWoman.

SHIMMER kicks off the New Year with a humongous show! A gigantic lineup matches with the first round of the Iron Woman Tournament taking place right here tonight!

Kimber Lee def. Mia Yim

Mia Yim didn't do a thing in this one. Kimber Lee rolled to the win with the Yoshi Tonic.

Amber O'Neal def. Veda Scott

The fans found themselves watching a good one as the two went at it to a near time-limit draw. O'Neal dominated, but Scott rallied and took control. Both kept kicking out but after a fight on the floor O'Neal beat Scott with the Amber Alert (both with 3 coins).

Daizee Haze def. Heidi Lovelace

It was Lovelace taking over for most of this one, but the veteran Haze ended up the winner. The heart punch sent Lovelack down for the three count. Haze wasn't done after the bell though, nailing Lovelace with the Yakuza Kick and the Mind Trip.

Cherry Bomb def. Allison Danger

Just another excellent contest that went back and forth. Danger had the upper hand, then it was Bomb. Both wouldn't go down and kept fighting back. Cherry Bomb pulled out the victory with Death from Below.

Evie def. Leva Bates

An evenly matched contest and Evie eventually put Bates down with a missile dropkick.

Courtney Rush def. Christina Von Eerie

A great match between two up and coming stars. It was non-stop offense as the two went back and forth. Rush came off the top to score the fall on Von Eerie.

FOUR-TEAM ELIMINATION MATCH

3G, Canadian Ninjas, Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew and Su Yung & Thunderkitty fought to a no-contest

3G and the MHWC start things out, but the first elimination comes when Lacey and Rain hit the Tomikaze on Thunderkitty.

Three of the top teams in Shimmer then fought for a very long time. It boiled down to the MHWC and the Ninjas against 3G. Skater and Nakagawa though held their own and really were on top despite the odds. Skater blasted Nicole Matthews with the International Incident to grab the pin.

The Ninjas wouldn't leave the ringside area and started brawling with 3G. Lacey and Rain joined in the fight and it turned into every woman for herself. All control was lost and the bell rang, leaving this match with no winners.

IRON WOMAN TOURNAMENT

Athena def. Madison Eagles

What a great opener to the Iron Woman Tournament. Athena ended up being too fast for Eagles. Athena maintained her offense and the O Face planted Eagles for the pin.

Saraya Knight def. LuFisto

This was one of the most brutual matches in recent memory. The two spent as much time killing each other on the floor as they did in the ring. It was all-out attack by both competitors. Knight gained the advantage but LuFisto refused to give up, withstanding long periods of time in the Knightmare and Bridled Rocking Horse. LuFisto had one last explosion of offense, but missed a charge in the corner and Knight grabbed the fall. Knight slapped another submission move on LuFisto afterwards. (LuFisto 5 coins)

MsChif def. Mercedes Martinez

Two of the best in the business right here. Mercedes seemed to be on top but Chif kept slowing down the attack. Then a burst by MsChif, the Desecrator and the Gates of Hell sent Martinez down for the three. Then Saraya Knight, Mercedes' tag partner in the title tournament, came out to double team MsChif.

Jessicka Havok def. Sara Del Rey

What promised to be an epic match just showed the utter dominance of J-Hav. Del Rey did start out strong and nearly won. Havok stormed back and decimated Del Rey until winning with the triple kick combo.

SHIMMER CHAMPIONSHIP
Cheerleader Melissa (ch) def. Jessie McKay

A rematch from the title tournament final. Jessie McKay showed incredible heart, but Melissa didn't care and continued to wreak havoc on McKay. Melissa couldn't finish her off though. McKay rallied but time after time was sent down to the mat. It was the Kudoh Driver putting her away. (McKay 4 coins).

Tonight the SHIMMER tag team championship tournament resumes! It's the quarterfinals and only four teams will remain when it's all said and done right here in Berwyn!

Mia Yim def. Krissy Vaine

Easy work for Mia Yim, knocking Krissy Vaine around until the pin after Kick Me Goodnight.

Kimber Lee def. Veda Scott

Kimber Lee cruised past Veda Scott in this one. Veda stayed alive, taking the Yoshi Tonic three times, but Kimber Lee came off the top for the win. Cherry Bomb joined her tag team partner to beat down Veda Scott some more.

Nevaeh def. Leva Bates

Leva Bates dominated the matchup. Nevaeh stayed alive and somehow scored the win with a Backpack Stunner.

Allison Danger def. Sassy Stephie

From the previous match, tag partners met up here. Allison Danger made short work of Stephie, winning with the Shimmering Warlock.

Amber O'Neal def. Cherry Bomb

A good, rough and tough fight here. A lot of fighting on the floor. Amber O'Neal won after a crotchrocket.

Sara Del Rey & Daizee Haze def. Heidi Lovelace & Saturyne

Not much good for the good guys here. Daizee Haze used the sleeper and the Mind Trip to beat Heidi Lovelace just after the bell rang to start the match.

SHIMMER TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT QUARTERFINALS

LuFisto & Courtney Rush def. Su Yung & Thunderkitty

After a firsts-round upset, Su Yung and Thunderkitty took some punishment in this one. Su Yung took the brunt of it and the Olympic Slam by Rush ended the match.

Madison Eagles & Evie def. The Canadian Ninjas

Not just a stunning upset but one in quick fashion. Eagles caught Nicole Matthews with the Hellbound for a fast pin. Afterwards all hell broke loose with a all four brawling around the arena.

Mercedes Martinez & Saraya Knight def. 3G

Tomoka Nakagawa got it going in good shape for 3G. Saraya Knight regained control on the floor. Mercedes dropped the Rate Tank with the Fisherman Buster to win the match.

MsEerie def. The Minnesota Homewrecking Crew

A real good main event. Lacey was in trouble early but Rain put MsChif down hard. The teams went at but Lacey went down for the three after hitting the corner ring post and Chif scored the pin.

SHIMMER action continues this week with more Iron Woman Tournament matches, as well as some new wrestlers making their debuts!

Barbi Hayden def. Veda Scott

Barbi Hayden's first match in SHIMMER and she received a good fight from Veda Scott. Hayden nearly lost a couple times, once after a Mind Trip. Hayden's power took over but she needed to use the Hayden Halo twice to put away Scott.

Amber O'Neal def. Kimber Lee

Two wrestlers that have put together a couple wins in a row. Kimber Lee started out controlling the bout. Amber O'Neal roared back. Lee avoided being counted out but the Amber Alert finished her off.

Regeneration X and SNS Express fought to a time limit draw

A very long match that only near the end saw any advantage for either team. Sassy Stephie took a huge amount of punishment, including the Sonic Screwdriver, but would not go down for three and the time limit expired.

Daizee Haze def. Heidi Lovelace

Heidi Lovelace continued to try and get back at Daizee Haze for their altercations the past two weeks. Lovelace really dominated this match but couldn't come away with a win. Haze used the Mind Trip twice to get the victory.

Christina VonEerie def. Courtney Rush

Courtney Rush defeated Christina VonEerie a couple weeks ago, and they will meet next week in the semifinals of the tag team title tournament. This time around VonEerie took charge and Rush had little offense. The Dead Rising finished off Rush.

Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew def. 3G

A pair of great teams that are gone from the title tournament faced off in this one. Nakagawa found herself in lots of trouble. Skater didn't make the save after the Tomikaze but Nakagawa was able to kick out. Lacey downed the Joshi star with an Implant DDT.

Evie & Jessica James def. The Canadian Ninjas

The Ninjas were knocked from the tournament last week by Madison Eagles and Evie. A brawl took place afterwards and Evie found Jessica James, making her SHIMMER debut, to team with as Eagles has an Iron Woman match later tonight.

An incredible debut for James, teaming with Evie, as they rolled against the Ninjas. Portia Perez took huge punishment, but stayed alive with help from Nicole Matthews. It ended up being Matthews taking a cartwheel clothesline and being pinned by Evie. Once again the Ninjas don't take losing well and attacked Evie and James after the match. (Perez 6 coins)

IRON WOMAN TOURNAMENT

Madison Eagles def. Jessie McKay

Fellow Aussies squared off, both looking for their first win in the tournament. An epic clash as neither lady wanted to fall to 0-2 overall. McKay rolled with the offense and Eagles kicked out over and over after the Boyfriend Stealer and the School Girl Crush. McKay took the Hell Bound 3 times, but Eagles delivered the move again and to take the win. (Eagles 4 coins, McKay 3 coins).

Sara Del Rey def. LuFisto

Another awesome match as these two pounded on one another back and forth. Del Rey held LuFisto in the Royal Butterfly for seemingly endless minutes but couldn't get win win. LuFisto came back with the Burning Hammer and diving star headbutt. They fought on the floor and Del Rey came out the winner with a piledriver and then the Royal Butterfly. (Del Rey 4 coins, LuFisto 4 coins).

Jessicka Havok def. Athena

Athena briefly had the upperhand and a near fall on J-Hav. The power turned the match around. Athena didn't recover and the Havokiller put her away.

Mercedes Martinez def. Saraya Knight

An intriguing contest here as these two have a semifinal match in the tag title tournament next week. The two wrestled for some time and it was a good, even match. The fight went outside and neither lady backed down. Mercedes pinned Knight with the Fisherman Buster. The tag partners didn't give any quarter and Knight was in the face of Mercedes after the match.

MsChif def. Cheerleader Melissa (ch)

The title is on the line in every match for the champion. Melissa hit the Kudoh Driver early on. Melissa kicked out of one Desecrator but MsChif never let up and used it again to win the match and the SHIMMER title!

SHIMMER action continues with the semifinals of the tag team title tournament!

Delilah Doom def. Su Yung

Another newcomer to SHIMMER shows up and makes her mark! Delilah Doom fought off Su Yung and soon had the match going her way. The two battled on the top rope and Yung kicked out after the Excellent Adventure. A clothesline and then the magistral cradle pinned Yung and Delilah Doom celebrated her victory.

Angelus Layne def. Mia Yim

The first SHIMMER match for Angelus Layne was a good one. These two took the fight out to the floor a lot. Layne put away Mia Yim with the Victory Layne.

3G def. SNS Express

A much-needed win for Tomoka Nakagawa and Kellie Skater. Sassy Stephie never made a tag, nearly losing the match on the floor. The Rate Tank took the pin with the International Incident.

Cherry Bomb def. Daizee Haze

At first this one looked even but Cherry Bomb completely took over. Haze fought defensively the majority of the match as Cherry Bomb never stopped delivering the offense until finally scoring the pin.

Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew def. Regeneration X by C.O.

A solid tag team contest ended on the floor. The two teams really went at it but Leva Bates was blasted on the outside and was counted out of the ring.

Amber O'Neal def. Thunderkitty

This match turned really physical as Amber O'Neal took control and put a heavy beating on Thunderkitty. The old-school grappler showed heart and would not stop fighting. Two times with the Amber Alert wasn't enough but Thunderkitty was finished off with a swinging neckbreaker. (Thunderkitty 4 coins)

Jessie McKay & Jessica James def. The Canadian Ninjas

The Ninjas can't believe their run of luck and newcomer Jessica James and any Aussie are on their hit list now. The Ninjas keep losing to James and either Madison Eagles, Evie or Jessie McKay. Portia Perez took the School Girl Crush from McKay then James pinned her with the Best of Both Worlds early in the match.

Sara Del Rey def. Cheerleader Melissa, Jessicka Havok and Athena

A four-way match featuring competitors in the Iron Woman Tournament. Melissa made sure to get shots in on all three opponents, mostly jumping them from behind. Melissa and Del Rey fought while Havok nearly killed Athena. The Wrestling Goddess wouldn't go down and it was Del Rey beating Melissa with the Royal Butterfly.

TAG TEAM TITLE TOURNAMENT SEMIFINALS

Madison Eagles & Evie def. Mercedes Martinez & Saraya Knight

A great match with three wrestlers in the Iron Woman competing. Saraya took on both opponents before Mercedes came in. Evie hit a cartwheel clothesline and the TTYL put Mercedes down for the three. Saraya and Mercedes screamed at each other before coming to blows as the two weren't pleased with each other after having wrestled last week in the Iron Woman Tournament.

LuFisto & Courtney Rush def. MsEerie by D.Q.

In singles action Rush has a win over Von Eerie and vice versa. LuFisto held on against MsChif and made a tag. Rush took charge and Von Eerie suffered the rest of the match. VonEerie battled and kept the match going. After the Olympic Slam by Rush, MsChif intereferred in the match and sprayed the mist in Rush's face, causing the bell to ring.

In two weeks the finals of the SHIMMER tag team title tournament will take place with Madison Eagles & Evie going up against LuFisto & Courtney Rush!

SHIMMER action moves on this week with the Iron Woman Tournament!

Barbi Hayden def. Saturyne

In a twist of expectations, the powerful Barbi Hayden defeated the speedy Saturyne with a sunset flip off the ropes.

Veda Scott def. Krissy Vaine

This one turned into a real good matchup. Both competitors hit their finishers. There was a lot of action on the top rope and on the floor. Scott scored the fall after the Mind Trip.

Kimber Lee def. Heidi Lovelace

Lovelace showed toughness but Lee showed relentlessness. Kimber Lee used the Yoshi Tonic four straight times to finally get the pin.

3G def. Made in Sin

The debut of Allysin Kay & Taylor Made. Made in Sin were in trouble a lot of the match but showed their toughness. Skater and Nakagawa had control most of the way, but couldn't put them away. Made in Sin did land the Eighth Deadly Sin. Skater and Nakagawa used their finishers but the match continued. In the end the CRB by Nakagawa defeated Kay. (Made in Sin 7 coins)

Rain def. Leva Bates

Last week Bates was counted out in tag competition against the Home Wrecking Crew. Action really heated up here with Rain dominating Bates. One-half of Reg-X fought but never got things going her way. Rain did the damage, wearing her down and winning with a lung blower.

Nicole Matthews def. Evie

The Ninjas have been having problems with Jessica James, Evie and Jessie McKay in recent weeks. The grapplers broke into singles matches for this show. This was a barn burner. Matthews battered Evie, but Evie came back. The top rope was used and the two went toe to toe. Matthews hit a lariat for the win. (Evie 4 coins)

Jessica James def. Portia Perez

Newcomer Jessica James continued her hot streak. Perez exploded after being pinned, attacking James. Nicole Matthews joined the beat down before Evie, Madison Eagles and Kellie Skater hit the ring to chase them off.

Courtney Rush def. Christina VonEerie

Rush and VonEerie have developed a rivalry on recent shows, splitting singles matches and Rush & LuFisto beat MsEerie in the tag title tournament semifinals by D.Q. last week. Both ladies had their chances at winning. Rush kept battling back and a butterfly suplex downed VonEerie.

IRON WOMAN TOURNAMENT

LuFisto def. Athena

A tremendous match as LuFisto gets her first tournament win. Athena totally dominated the action. LuFisto barely had anything going and kicked out of the O Face twice. LuFisto found a way to nail the Burning Hammer for the win.

Mercedes Martinez def. Sara Del Rey

Two of the best wrestlers the world has to offer. This one wasn't a classic or anything though. Martinez took charge, a brainbuster and Fisherman Buster put Del Rey down for three. Saraya Knight then stormed out and attacked Martinez as the two former tag partners lost last week in the semifinals.

Saraya Knight def. Cheerleader Melissa

This was a brutal confrontation. Non-stop, back and forth. Plenty of finishers and fights on the floor. Knight put together several finishing moves to finally defeat Melissa (5 coins). She was ready for Mercedes Martinez to come back out and the two brawled around the building.

Madison Eagles def. Jessicka Havok

What an awesome match! Eagles took massive punishment, but found ways to dish it right back to J-Hav. Eagles used the Hell Bound to get the win.

Jessie McKay lost in the title tournament finals, and again in round 1 of the Iron Woman Tournament for another opportunity at the belt. Now she gets a third chance!

Her chance didn't last long. MsChif got McKay down and the Desecrator ended the match just like that!

Newcomer Candice LeRae quickly got the crowd on her side. VonEerie could only defend herself from the attack. The two fought on the floor but LeRae after a moonsault and missile dropkick.

Rhia O'Reilly def. "Crazy" Mary Dobson

Two more debuts in this one. Dobson briefly got things going but O'Reilly stopped her with a T-bone suplex and won the match with the Rhiadjustment.

Kimber Bombs def. Melanie Cruise & Vanessa Kraven

The highly imposing duo of Cruise and Kraven were unable to win in their SHIMMER debut. Cherry Bomb used her finisher and Kimber Lee put away Cruise for the win.

Kay Lee Ray def. Heidi Lovelace

Two big-time high fliers with Kay Lee Ray debuting here tonight. Lovelace missed her frog splash and took a suidicde dive. Kay Lee Ray ramped up the offense and won with the Swanton Bomb.

Made in Sin def. Team Blondage

A very long match that went back and forth with seemingly no end in sight. Allysin Kay and Taylor Made win their first match in SHIMMER with the Eighth Deadly Sin. (O'Neal 4 coins).

Rain def. Thunderkitty by D.Q.

Rain got the offense going but Thunderkitty went to the outside and was disqualified.

3G def. SNS Express

Another great, hard-hitting tag match. It was also a long one. Stephie and Nevaeh had the advantage most of the way. Nakagawa still found a way to come back to get the win over Stephie.

The Canadian Ninjas def. Jessie McKay & Jessica James

The Ninjas finally come up with a win against McKay and James. McKay started off with all kinds of offense. The Ninjas hit the Funky Cold Medina to pin James.

Saraya Knight def. Mercedes Martinez

These two battled it out in the Iron Woman Tournament, then ended up turning on each other in a tag match. Mercedes came out on fire and laid into Knight. Mercedes couldn't get a pin though and Knight rallied. She used the Knightmare four times in a row. The two kept fighting but Mercedes went down after two more Knightmares. (Martinez 6 coins)

TAG TEAM TITLE TOURNAMENT FINAL
Madison Eagles & Evie def. LuFisto & Courtney Rush

An excellent title contest ended out of nowhere. It was a real good matchup with LuFisto really giving it to Eagles. Evie carried the offense against Rush. The teams went back and forth but Evie caught Rush off the ropes for a quick pin to win the SHIMMER tag team titles!
