Just wondering how the rest of you play the game. We always played with 4 guys, each controlling a quarter of the wrestlers. We tried doing it with only 3 on occasion, but it never seemed to be as much fun. Any less then 4 didn't allow for the double crossing, backstabbing, surprises that make wrestling so great, and also caused too many situations where guys had to double cross other guys they controlled which was just stupid.
Anyway, back to the point:
1) How do you play?
2) Why does this way work for you?

Way back when I first got the game, my brother and I would play together, but after about a year or so he wanted to start his own fed, so he got his own cards, and it's been solo for me ever since. I'm hoping someday, now that I have kids, that I'll be able to teach them the game and have a playing partner or two once again.

When I was first introduced to COTG by a close friend of mine we both went in on the cards that were out at the time. Don't remember what set it was up to but it was around 1994 or so. We played the game almost anytime we hung out. After moving around I have introduced some other people to the game but I mainly play solo, at least until I can manage to get a GameTable match to actually connect to someone else.
If anyone is interested I'm usually on Tues. & Wed. between 3pm and whenever EST. PM me if you would like to give it a go.

If I had to guess, I'd say 90-95% of people just play solo outside of a convention like Galacticon. I am certainly in that group. I can't imagine sharing my fed with anyone (they did say in preschool I have trouble sharing. )

I've played with my dad and little brothers on occassion, but mostly solo. I find that while playing the actual matches with someone else is pretty fun, it's tough to share the booking/creative part of the game. OTOH, I do have a couple joint things going with others on the board, I think as long as someone's clearly in charge it can work and be really fun

I used to play with a small group back when I was in middle school [glow=red,2,300] EONS AGO[/glow]. Now I only get to play solo. I would love to find some others that want to play in my area, but alas, everyone plays magic the gathering.
