We started as a 4-man group in 1989, but 2 of the originals (brothers) lost interest/cards in 1992, and it has been Josh and I ever since. We basically run our fed as the GM's, making trades, holding drafts when the new sets come out, etc. I personally can't imagine playing the game alone. I have tried to do a few cards by myself over years, but it just didn't have the same feel. I could maybe see doing Legend's solo, as that seems more natural to fantasy book for me.

Josh and Jeff are, as far as I know, the longest running (consecutive) multiple-player promotion. That deserves a golf clap, don't you think?

Solo.
I did play with my best friend for a good length of time back before i joined the Air Force and it was fun...the calling of matches was great!
No i play Solo...except for the women's matches as my daughter helps roll those when she is around.

I have to say I like the way your wife thinks. Our best results came from going completely against the grain.

Why thank you very much for the shout-out Mr. Lawless. It never really occurred to me that we might be the record-holders, but now I'm curious:
Can anyone beat 2 guys -- 4 in the early years -- once a week, every week (except the week before Jamestown, and Christmas week, so 50 fight cards per year) since August 7, 1989??
If nobody has that beat, it would be a really cool to know that Josh and I have hung through middle school (we got the game just before Josh's 14th b-day, and not long after my 13th), high school, college, grad school (me), and marriage (me again), to continue to set aside 2 hours per week for the game we love.

I will take the sound of crickets chirping to mean that Josh and I are the longest running multi-person fed going. We will be celebrating our 20th anniversary just after Galaticon 20 in 2009 -- so it's going to be a fun summer all around.
As far as things look now, there should be nothing standing in my way making Jamestown next year, so I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again then.
