Since it won't coincide with PWG's 10 anniversary show this summer (ROH is running on July 13th,) I'll probably go to this event:
The newest venue to house an FSW event. Saturday July 13th, FSW Presents When Stars Collide. This huge event will feature former WWE & WCW Heavyweight, Tag Team, and Intercontinental Champions. Each day starting tomorrow, we will release 1 name for the event. Also, this will be more than just a wrestling show. Some exciting things if you are a wrestling fan. — at Mesquite, Nv.
I have actually never been to Mesquite even though I have heard it is a really nice place to visit. Looking forward to this!

unfortunately I have already met them all You make it sound like it was a bad experience, Vegas! not what I meant (in fact two of them- King and Kendrick- I actually signed up to Legends through meeting them) I was just hoping when this event first got announced for the Las Vegas area that there would be wrestlers at it who I have not previously met before.

With my friends Ryan and Mary, I went to this show tonight in Mesquite.
Normally the FSW casino shows (Sam's Town, Silverton) draw alot more people than tonight's show- but I guess that is what happens when you move the show out of Las Vegas which has 600,000 people to a town of 19,000 people almost 1 1/2 hours away in the middle of nowhere.
overall unfortunately not too impressed with the buffet at the Casablanca casino before the show, they had a great smoked prime rib and a decent salad bar- but the rest of their food was not that good and it was the smallest buffet I have ever seen inside a Nevada casino in the 14 years I have lived in this state
some results from tonight's show:
F2D (from CWFH) won the pre show match
Crash Test Cody won a 20 man battle royal
Alkatrazz defeated Clutch
Sugar Brown and Sikou scored a major upset over the The Afrodisiacs (Willie Mack and Remy Marcel) with Marcel getting pinned. Willie Mack was awesome tonight in this match!
FSW Color Commentator Disco Inferno defeated FSW Commissioner Michael Modest
Legends Champion Rush defeated Eugene
Reno Scum regained the FSW Tag Team Championship by defeating Paul London and Brian Kendrick, the RockNES Monsters, and the Suburban Commandos in a 4 way tag match. Before the show I saw London in the buffet, he and Kendrick rode over together from California for this show.
No Limit Champion Jack Manley vs Bryce Harrison ended in a double countout. Harrison IMO is one of the best wrestlers in FSW, if of course you do not count the wrestlers who are brought in from SoCal for the FSW shows.
John Morrison defeated Kenny King in a good match. It is always great to see Kenny King wrestling in Nevada.
Kevin Nash defeated FSW Heavyweight Champion Tyshaun Prince by DQ
earlier in the show, Nash was also the guest on Disco Inferno's Lava Lounge where he rejected an offer to become an honorary member of the Vegas Originals (FSW's version of a Four Horsemen type of stable.) I thought Nash mailed it in during the Lava Lounge segment but did a little better during the main event. I am personally not a big Nash fan but there were alot of fans in attendance glad to see both him and John Morrison tonight as both Nash and Morrison were making their FSW debuts on this show (which is another reason why I do not understand FSW moving it out of Las Vegas to the remote location of Mesquite.)
FSW's next casino show is 2 days after PWG's 10th anniversary and they are back at Sam's Town (the best Las Vegas venue for an Indy show IMO)

one day after seeing this show in Mesquite, I went with my friend Yan to the $5 showing of Money in the Bank at Sam's Town. Before the PPV started, the promoter of FSW sat at our table and asked me my thoughts about the FSW show in Mesquite the previous night. I told him my favorite matches from Saturday night were Kenny King vs John Morrison and the 4 way tag won by Reno Scum. Although I originally thought the Mesquite show was disastrous for FSW since it involved high priced talent such as Kevin Nash and John Morrison- yet there were 100s of empty seats and they were asking people in the back before Intermission to please move up, the promoter told me today that things actually worked out well. He told me it cost $4,000 to bring in Kevin Nash and John Morrison I think he said cost $1,500- but the Casablanca casino in Mesquite paid for the high priced talent because it was who their high rollers wanted to see and the high rollers later spent ALOT of money at the casino to make them happy. I was told as a result there is going to be another show in Mesquite. In other words the financial success of the show was not dependent on the overall gate so much as pleasing the high rollers who wanted to see Kevin Nash. as I mentioned on my previous post, the next FSW casino show takes place on August 11th at Sam's Town in the same room where I watched Money in the Bank this weekend. Kenny King (who I was told tonight might become a regular trainer for FSW), Paul London, Brian Cage, and Roderick Strong (making his FSW return- it is the same weekend as PWG's 10th anniversary on Los Angeles) are among the wrestlers appearing on this upcoming FSW show.
