Figures the guy I never heard of before became the champ.
I listened to the promoter for this fed on the PWP Newscast last week, who is a professional gambler from Vegas and a big PWG champ. Sounds like he is doing this for fun, and Joey Ryan is the main booker of talent.

Alan is a great guy and he asked me for my thoughts after the QPW show ended last night. Alan and Joey Ryan have been going to Angels games together for awhile and QPW allows Ryan (who- due to TNA's new exclusive use of their talent requirements- can not appear at feds such as PWG with wide DVD releases or televised feds such as CWFH) to get some extra non-TNA work (same for other TNA talent too as Ryan brought in Bad Influence to take on the Young Bucks on the previous QPW show) and gives Alan a chance to promote which I have been told is something he has wanted to do for quite awhile. Is there a link to the PWP Newscast interview about QPW? I would really like to hear it if possible.

Thanks for posting the link! I enjoyed listening to the interview with Alan as I typed up my Ring of Vegas results tonight.

PWP is a great site. I stumbled across it a few years ago looking for a good Indy news site. Ive meet multiple people involved with the site over the years and they all have a great passion for the indies. By finding that site I realized one of the co-founders, Kevin Ford lived minutes from me and today remains one of my closest friends that Ive taken numerous wrestling trips with.
