YEAR SIX, CARD NO. 28
Bayfront Center – St. Petersburg
Ox Baker d. “Bloody” Harker Dirge (w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink) by DQ when members of the House of Humperdink entered the ring and attacked Baker after Baker hit a HEART PUNCH on Dirge and was going for the pin. The Kings of Wrestling, the “Belgian Brawler” and Necro Butcher all came to ringside to attack Baker, but there were driven off when Bobo Brazil and Page and Pepper came to the scene. They engaged in finger-pointing afterward and nearly got into a brawl.
Mad Dog Vachon (w/ Commander Lou Albano) d. Yukon Eric (w/ Danny Hodge) when he pinned Yukon Eric following a Mad Dog Pounce. The match was back-and-forth, but Yukon Eric did not seem to fully click on offense.
Commissioner Chad came to ringside and called out Diamond Dallas Page and Pepper Gomez. He said they had a good match against the tag-team champion Road Warriors, coming together one card after facing off against one another at the Tampa Tournament and nearly pulling off the upset. But their falling short meant that they were going to have to continue to prove themselves as an effective tag team, because they seemed to do better as singles wrestlers. One way to do such was against the already-disliked youth movement of Sir Oliver Humperdink, and there was no better challenge than the Kings of Wrestling – right now!
The Kings of Wrestling (w/ Larry Sweeney, Sir Oliver Humperdink), d. Page and Pepper by DQ when Diamond Dallas Page gave Chris Hero a DIAMOND CUTTER outside the ring. The match was a wild one, with the ref knocked out for a while and Page getting a DIAMOND CUTTER on Claudio Castagnoli inside the ring, but two HERO’S WELCOMES from Hero before order was fully restored. Afterward, officials had to separate the two tag teams.
Magnum TA d. Rick Rude (w/ Ida Mae) to retain his U.S. heavyweight title. Rude tried to attack Magnum before the bell rang, but Magnum reversed the attack and pummeled Rude! Eventually, after a series of dropkicks, he got the pin. Rude yelled at Ida Mae afterward for not being more helpful, and she left ringside in tears.
Ray Stevens d. Bobo Brazil by DQ when members of the House of Humperdink interfered on Brazil’s behalf. After the attack on Stevens outside the ring, Sir Oliver Humperdink took the microphone and said, “Brazil, you don’t need to worry about wrestlers like Stevens. You need to worry about us. Because if you are the icon of BCW, it means that we must destroy you on the way to our glory. So prepare yourself, because at Wrestlethon, we will plant the seeds that will grow into your destruction!” Then the members of the House of Humperdink attacked Brazil, putting their boots to him before leaving.
The Naptown Dragons (w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink) d. the Road Warriors (w/ Paul Ellering) in an amazing match to capture the BCW world tag-team titles when Scotty Vortekz quickly rolled up Animal after a crossbody block. The long match saw pins saves by both sides and numerous interference attempts by Humperdink. In the end, the Road Warriors and Ellering were stunned, while the House of Humperdink came out to celebrate a historic win!
Rob Van Dam d. Harley Race by DQ when Race attacked Van Dam outside the ring. As their rivalry continued to heat up, so did Race, who was angered enough by Van Dam’s actions inside the ring to take a chair to him outside it. Officials finally got the two separated.
Commander Lou Albano came out and notified Jimmy Snuka that his challenge would be a best-two-out-of-three falls. “But don’t worry, Snuka – you won’t be around for the third fall,” he said.
Jimmy Snuka won the best-of-three-falls match against Antonio Inoki (with Commander Lou Albano), 2-1, to become the BCW world heavyweight champion for a third time, and the first time since Year Four. In the first fall, Snuka hit a SUPERFLY LEAP early, but Albano interfered to stop the pin count. The match continued to go back and forth and grow in intensity until both wrestlers ended up outside the ring looking to use chairs and other weapons. Snuka was DQ’d, and it looked like the ref would DQ Inoki as well, but a well-timed distraction by Albano led to only Snuka losing the fall. In the second fall, Snuka won when he caught Inoki with a backbreaker and got the pin. He dominated most of the second fall after an early surge by Inoki. In the final fall, Snuka hit a nasty piledriver on Inoki after fending off an interference attempt by Albano, who slipped and clipped Inoki in the back of the knee. Snuka threw Albano out of the ring and then finished off Inoki to become the new heavyweight champion, and the first to win the belt for a third time. Albano was stunned, and Inoki appeared to have a seriously injured knee.

YEAR SIX, CARD NO. 29
Osceola Heritage Park -- Kissimmee
Commissioner Chad came out, took the mic and congratulated Jimmy Snuka for becoming the new BCW world heavyweight champion. He said Snuka’s opponent at Wrestlethon had yet to be determined, but would be soon. As for the other titles … and that’s when Sir Oliver Humperdink came to ringside to crow about the Naptown Dragons’ huge upset of the Road Warriors for the tag belts. He said that tonight he had arranged, with the commissioner’s permission, for his “House” to get more experience in nontitle matches, with Ricky Landell taking on Magnum TA, the Dragons facing Ivan Koloff and Mad Dog Vachon, and Bryan Danielson facing off against Jimmy Snuka. Humperdink looked pleased with himself as the commissioner agreed, then said that there might be other surprises for the House of Humperdink as well. That left Sir Oliver slightly less pleased and somewhat more concerned.
Larry Sharpe d. Rob Van Dam via DQ when Van Dam hit the Van Daminator and the ref rang up the DQ. Van Dam appeared frustrated at his continued lack of success, while Sharpe would have been celebrating if he hadn’t been more or less knocked out.
Danny Hodge d. Johnny Rodz using his OKLAHOMA SIDE ROLL in a highly competitive match.
Johnny Valentine d. Necro Butcher (w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink) when he rolled up Butcher after coming off the ropes. Valentine had given Butcher an ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER earlier, but interference by Humperdink kept him from getting the pin. However, when Butcher rallied and threw Valentine into the ropes, that was all it took for the BCW veteran to get the pin againt a member of the upstart House of Humperdink.
BCW U.S. heavyweight champion Magnum TA d. Ricky Landell (w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink) by DQ in a nontitle match when members of the House of Humperdink came out and beat on Magnum when both wrestlers were outside the ring. Officials eventually broke up the attack, with Magnum displaying a lot of anger while Sir Oliver was smiling.
The New Age Outlaws came out next for their tag match, followed by their opponents, the former BCW tag-team champion Road Warriors, who appeared to be quite angry.
The Road Warriors (w/ Paul Ellering) d. the New Age Outlaws when Kip James was pinned after a DOOMSDAY DEVICE in a wild match that saw the wrestlers in and out of the ring. Afterward, Hawk grabbed a microphone and said, “You bring those Dragons and all your bragging to Wrestlethon, Humperdink and we’ll be there. But be sure to bring OUR belts, because we want them back!”
The BCW world tag-team champions Naptown Dragons (w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink) d. Ivan Koloff and Mad Dog Vachon (w/ Commander Lou Albano) in a nontitle match when Scotty Vortekz and Dustin Lee connected on a KISS OF THE DRAGON against Koloff after Lee interfered to stop Koloff’s RUSSIAN BEAR HUG on Vortekz while Sir Oliver distracted the referee and Albano. Afterward, Lee and Vortekz were celebrating while Sir Oliver got on the mic and said, “Road Warriors, we’ll give you a shot at the titles at Wrestlethon … as long as you put your BCW careers on the line as well!”
Commissioner Chad came out and addressed Sir Oliver Humperdink, saying that he apparently had an overinflated opinion of himself as a matchmaker, but he’d relay the request to the Road Warriors. He also said that Sir Oliver had made a request for a rematch between the Kings of Wrestling and Page and Pepper, because they wanted to “teach Page a lesson.” The commissioner added that Page and Pepper were more than happy to get another shot at them – right now, in a no-DQ match!
Page and Pepper d. the Kings of Wrestling (w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink) when Diamond Dallas Page hit the DIAMOND CUTTER on Chris Hero. Claudio Castagnoli broke up an earlier pin attempt, but neither he nor Sir Oliver could stop the second one. Afterward, the Naptown Dragons and Necro Btucher headed to ringside to attack Page and Pepper Gomez, but then Ox Baker, Johnny Valentine and Bobo Brazil came to ringside as well. The two sides threatened to go at it before officials broke things up.
BCW world heavyweight champion Jimmy Snuka d. Bryan Danielson (w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink) in a nontitle match when he connected on a SUPERFLY LEAP. An earlier leap he attempted was broken up by interference by Humperdink. Danielson did a good job of stretching out the match, but in the end, it was all Snuka.
As Snuka was celebrating, in ran Rick Rude, who gave him a clothesline and then a RUDE AWAKENING. Rude then yelled, “My time is now, Snuka!” as the crowd booed.

YEAR SIX, CARD NO. 30
Highlands County Fairgrounds, Sebring
Commissioner Chad came out and announced that a world heavyweight championship match had been made between belt-holder Jimmy Snuka and challenger Rick Rude for Wrestlethon, with the stipulation being the best two-out-of-three falls. Also, he announced that Ray Stevens would face Curt Hennig in a No. 1 contender match for the U.S. title.
The Road Warriors (w/ Paul Ellering) d. S+S when they demolished Larry Sharpe with the DOOMSDAY DEVICE. The Warriors were ambushed before the match by the BCW world tag-team champion Naptown Dragons, who attacked Animal with chairs as the Warriors were headed to the ring. Hawk and Ellering chased them off, but Hawk started the match without a tag partner. Animal eventually recovered, and Sharpe paid the price. Afterward, Hawk took the mic and said, “Naptown Dragons, Humperdink, we’ll take your challenge and put our careers on the line at Wrestlethon. However, let’s see how brave you are with our stipulation, which we already cleared with the commissioner. Cage match! Just the four of us, one big party, with no interference. And at the end of the cage match, when we are done with you? Oh, what a rush!”
Johnny Valentine came to ringside and called out any member of the House of Humperdink who wanted to “get his tail kicked!” Out came Harker Dirge and Sir Oliver Humperdink.
Johnny Valentine d. “Bloody” Harker Dirge (w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink) when he connected on a pair of ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHERS. Dirge got the advantage early and rolled Valentine up, but couldn’t get the three-count. Valentine then punished Dirge before pinning him. Afterward, he wiped his hands together to indicate he was done with Dirge.
Don Leo Jonathan came out to ringside, took a mic and said that despite his recent setback against Antonio Inoki, he hadn’t given up his quest to regain the BCW world heavyweight title. “I’m the biggest, baddest giant in BCW – they’ll never ignore me again!” That brought out Bruiser Brody, who said, “You might be a little bigger, but you aren’t the baddest by far!” Jonathan invited Brody up to the ring to prove his point.
Bruiser Brody d. Don Leo Jonathan when he hit his JUMPING KNEE DROP and pinned Jonathan. The match turned when Bundy came off the turnbuckle and connected with a vicious clothesline, then hit his finisher. Afterward, while Brody was celebrating, Jonathan recovered enough to hit a swinging full nelson and then gave him a chair shot, leaving Brody lying prone on the mat.
U.S. heavyweight champion Magnum TA d. Chris Hero (w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink) in a nontitle match when Magnum connected on dropkicks and got the pin. Earlier in the match, he hit Hero, who wrestled a strong match, with his BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX, but interference by Humperdink quashed a pin attempt.
Bill Apter’s “Hot Seat” featured Ricky Landell of the House of Humperdink. Apter asked him how he liked competing in BCW, and Landell replied, “OK, but there are too many old guys here past their prime, like Bobo Brazil.” He said they needed to make way for the next generation of superstars. That brought out Brazil and Ox Baker, who said that they were tired of Sir Oliver’s “youth movement,” and that the other BCW stars were far from “washed up.” Then they challenged Landell to a match at Wrestlethon. Sir Oliver Humperdink then came out and said, “What about a 5-on-5 elimination match?” Baker agreed, then said, “Get five of your mutts, because we won’t have any problem getting five guys who want to put a hurting on them.” Sir Oliver agreed, but added one more stipulation: Whichever team lost, one of its members will have to leave BCW! Baker agreed, and Sir Oliver grinned as if he’d already won.
In a match to determine the No. 1 contender for the U.S. title, Ray Stevens d. Curt Hennig in a wild, physical bout when he connected on his BOMBS AWAY kneedrop. Stevens came out like a house afire, but Hennig weathered the early ferocity and handed out some punishment of his own. Each man had three pin attempts against the other before Stevens was able to use his finisher. He will face Magnum TA at Wrestlethon.
Page and Pepper d. the BCW world tag-team champions the Naptown Dragons (w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink in a nontitle match when Diamond Dallas Page gave a DIAMOND CUTTER to Scotty Vortekz. The Dragons seemed a bit unsettled by the presence of the Road Warriors at ringside, and it was the Road Warriors who kept Dustin Lee from making a save on DDP’s pin, which handed the Dragons their first loss in BCW. Afterward, Page got the mic and said, “Oh, Sir Oliver, Pepper and I will be part of that team going against yours at Wrestlethon, and you are going to feel the BANG!”
Harley Race came to ringside and called out Rob Van Dam, saying: “We have a bit of unfinished business. You being a distraction has kept me out of the title hunt. I intend to take care of this problem right now!” Van Dam headed to ringside.
Rob Van Dam d. Harley Race when he connected on a Rolling Thunder to get the pin following a long, bitter clash. Afterward, Van Dam hit Race with a Van Daminator, seriously injuring Race.
Commander Lou Albano came to ringside, took a mic and disparaged BCW world heavyweight champion Jimmy Snuka, saying: “The only time he was any good was when I was guiding him. Now he’s a three-time champ and a three-time loser! I know Ivan Koloff can beat him right here, right now!” As Koloff joined Albano at ringside, Snuka came to the ring and motioned for Koloff to “bring it.”
BCW world heavyweight champion Jimmy Snuka lost to Ivan Koloff (w/ Commander Lou Albano) by DQ at the end of a very physical match when Snuka hit Koloff with a chain taken from the Russian star after he had tried to hit Snuka with it, which went unseen by the referee. Afterward, an angry Snuka pummeled Koloff with the chain, injuring him, then started after Albano, who fled ringside.

YEAR SIX, CARD No. 31
Eddie Graham Sports Stadium
J.D. Michaels (w/ April Hunter), in his BCW debut, d. Johnny Rodz by pinning him after a superplex. Afterward, Sir Oliver Humperdink came to ringside and hugged his apparent newest protégé. Rodz, who had the advantage for part of the match, looked disgusted afterward.
The Road Warriors (w/ Paul Ellering) d. the Kings of Wrestling (w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink) when Claudio Castagnoli fell victim to the DOOMSDAY DEVICE. Hawk followed that up by knocking Chris Hero off the ring apron, then the Road Warriors gave a stunned Castagnoli a second DOOMSDAY DEVICE, injuring him. Hawk took the mic and said: “Tell ’em, Humperdink. Tell your tag champs that the Road Warriors are coming, and in the cage, they are going to pay!”
Bryan Danielson came out to ringside and called out Rob Van Dam. He said RVD did a great job in eliminating Harley Race from BCW, but the rest of his year had been “a waste.” What he needed, according to Danielson, was some “guidance,” and Sir Oliver Humperdink was the man who could give it to him. Van Dam shook his head “no,” but Danielson said it was time to “embrace the future.” “Tell you what, Rob,” he said. “Since you don’t have a dance partner for Wrestlethon, how about you and me. And if I win, you join the House of Humperdink, which would be the best thing for you anyway.” RVD just smiled and then shook his head “yes,” then left ringside.
U.S. heavyweight champion Magnum TA d. George South in a nontitle match when he connected on his BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX finisher. Magnum had some problems with concentration when No. 1 contender Ray Stevens came to ringside to watch the match, but was able to finish off South eventually. Afterward, Stevens pointed at Magnum, then left ringside.
The Oilmen d. the New Age Outlaws by DQ when Kip James nailed Yukon Eric with a chair outside the ring after Yukon Eric nearly had a submission using his KODIAK KRUNCH. Afterward, hostilities erupted between the two teams, and it took officials and an angry Commissioner Chad to break it up. The commissioner grabbed the mic and said, “Unbelievable! Two underachieving tag teams end up in a major brawl. You’ve combined for, what, NO title reigns? I tell you what: At Wrestlethon, it’s a ‘Loser Leaves Town’ match. And if it ends in a DQ, BOTH teams leave town. Let’s see who can rise to the occasion.” The commissioner walked away, while both tag teams appeared a little shocked by the turn of events.
Diamond Dallas Page answered a challenge by the House of Humperdink’s Larry Sweeney (w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink) and pinned him following a discus clothesline. Page hit a DIAMOND CUTTER out of nowhere earlier in the match, but interference by Humperdink kept him from getting the pin. Afterward, members of the House of Humperdink came to ringside and attacked Page, injuring him. Members of Page’s team for Wrestlethon then came to ringside and cleaned house, but as the House of Humperdink members escaped, it appeared that they had succeeded in what they set out to do.
Commander Lou Albano came out and said he knew that Ivan Koloff was going to miss Wrestlethon due to that “snake Snuka.” However, he had made a deal to borrow “the Belgian Brawler” Dupae Rupa from Sir Oliver Humperdink for the event in exchange for “future considerations.” He wanted to see how Mad Dog Vachon and the Brawler would work together, so he called for some “Foreign Legion rejects” to come out and face them – George Hackenschmidt and Mil Mascaras!
“The Belgian Brawler” Dupae Rupa and Mad Dog Vachon d. George Hackenschmidt and Mil Mascaras when Rupa hit his BELGIAN WAFFLE finisher out of nowhere on Hackenschmidt while the ref was down after colliding with Rupa and Vachon was battling Mascaras outside the ring. The ref recovered long enough to count the pin, and Albano and his team celebrated afterward. Mascaras took the mic and said, “Albano, you may have won this one, so enjoy it. But your Foreign Legion is nearly done, and at Wrestlethon, we’ll close the book on you once and for all.”
Rick Rude (w/ Ida Mae) d. Larry Sharpe when he unleashed a RUDE AWAKENING on Sharpe to get the victory. Jimmy Snuka came to ringside with his BCW world heavyweight title belt, which caused the match to go longer than expected due to a distracted Rude. After getting the pin, Rude took the mic and told Snuka, “Just to show that I’m ready for the match with you, Snuka …” then dropped the mic, grabbed the fallen Sharpe, propped him up and gave him another RUDE AWAKENING. Ida Mae held up his hand in victory afterward as Rude pointed with the other hand at Snuka.
Johnny Valentine, Ox Baker and Bobo Brazil d. the BCW world tag-team champions Naptown Dragons and Necro Butcher when Baker unleashed a HEART PUNCH on Butcher, injuring him and giving a measure of revenge for Team Brazil for the loss of Diamond Dallas Page earlier in the card. The other members of the House of Humperdink started to invade ringside after the match, but a number of other wrestlers, including the Road Warriors, also came to ringside to even up the odds ahead of officials arriving to calm things down on the last card before the PPV.

YEAR SIX, CARD NO. 32
Wrestlethon PPV – Citrus Bowl
Curt Hennig d. Jushin Liger after connecting on a running knee lift. Liger managed to work his way out of a HENNIG PLEX earlier in the opening match, but could not avoid Hennig’s follow-up attack.
Mil Mascaras and George Hackenschmidt d. Mad Dog Vachon and “The Belgian Brawler” Dupae Rupa (w/ Commander Lou Albano) by DQ when Albano was caught slipping something into Vachon’s hand before Vachon belted Mascaras. The match featured nine pin attempts, and Rupa acquitted himself well in place of the injured Ivan Koloff. Afterward, Hackenschmidt grabbed a mic and said, “Albano, you can never beat us fair and square – your Foreign Legion is finished!” Albano responded, “Just wait, boys. I’ve got a big surprise in store for you, and you’ll be finished in BCW after that!”
Magnum TA d. Ray Stevens to retain the BCW U.S. heavyweight title. The match was even early on, then Magnum TA caught Stevens with a piledriver coming off the ropes, followed by a BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX to finish him off. Afterward, as he was celebrating, Magnum was attacked by Curt Hennig, who put a beatdown on the U.S. champ, injuring him. Afterward, Hennig sneered at the fans and left the ring.
In a “Battle of the Giants,” Bruiser Brody d. Don Leo Jonathan in an amazing match in which Jonathan survived nine pin attempts before finally succumbing to Brody’s relentless attack. Jonathan’s stamina was amazing until he finally fell to a big boot after a very long, back-and-forth match.
In a “loser leaves BCW” match, the Oilmen d. the New Age Outlaws when Kip James submitted to Danny Hodge’s Boston Crab. The Oilmen appeared very motivated with their BCW careers on the line, and they stayed on offense throughout much of the match, although the two teams split four pin attempts before the finish. The New Age Outlaws departed after two years in BCW.
Down came the enclosed cage!
The Road Warriors (w/ Paul Ellering on the outside) d. the Naptown Dragons (w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink on the outside) in the cage to regain the BCW tag-team titles and save their BCW careers. The Dragons surprisingly controlled the first part of the match, and Animal fended off five pin attempts. However, he rallied and later connected on a POWER SLAM to get the triumph and set a BCW record with the Warriors’ sixth title reign. Keeping Sir Oliver’s interference out of play via the cage proved to be a difference maker.
Rob Van Dam d. Bryan Danielson (w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink) in a no-DQ match when he finished Danielson using his FIVE-STAR FROG SPLASH. Van Dam punished the hard-fighting Danielson throughout, finally using a Van Daminator followed by his finishing move for the pin. Afterward, Van Dam didn’t even look at Humperdink before leaving the ring. With the win, Van Dam does not have to join the House of Humperdink.
The BCW team led by Bobo Brazil d. the House of Humperdink (w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink) in a four-on-four tag elimination match. The bout was originally scheduled to be five-on-five, but injuries to Diamond Dallas Page and Necro Butcher changed it. Chris Hero was eliminated by Johnny Valentine after a forearm bludgeon; J.D. Michaels was pinned by Bobo Brazil following a COCO BUTT; Ricky Landell was pinned by Ox Baker after a HEART PUNCH; and Harker Dirge was disqualified after he took Sir Oliver’s cane and whacked Ox Baker in the head.
The House of Humperdink left ringside in the wake of being routed, but Commissioner Chad came out and said that according to the stipulations of the match, one of the team’s members was no longer in BCW, and through a random draw, it was J.D. Michaels, who had a very short stay in BCW. As Sir Oliver threw a fit, Bobo Brazil took the mic and said, “That’s just the beginning, Humperdink. We plan to foreclose on your house forever!”
Jimmy Snuka won the best-of-three-falls match against Rick Rude (w/ Ida Mae) to retain the BCW world heavyweight championship. Rude came out on fire and took it to Snuka, who seemed unprepared for the ferocity of the attack. Rude eventually connected on a RUDE AWAKENING and got the first fall. In the second fall, Snuka fought back and took the battle to Rude, who rallied somewhat, but eventually fell to the SUPERFLY LEAP, evening the match at one fall apiece. In the third fall, Snuka took a leap off the corner turnbuckle, but inadvertently hit the ref. Rude then took advantage of the situation to attack Snuka, who suffered a severe beatdown, but finally rallied as the ref recovered. Snuka finally caught Rude in a piledriver and got the pin at the end of a hotly contested match.
As a weary Snuka celebrated, Commander Lou Albano and Mad Dog Vachon wheeled a giant box to ringside. Albano took the mic and said: “I warned you, Snuka. I warned those two traitors, Hackenschmidt and Mascaras. I warned everyone that the Foreign Legion was NOT done, and this is why.” The side of the box opened, and out came Andre the Giant! Snuka stared in disbelief, then looked to attack Andre as he entered the ring, but it was futile, as Andre gave him a bear hug, then threw him to the mat and gave him a BIG SPLASH as Albano laughed and fans looked on stunned.

BITHLO CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING YEAR-END AWARDS – YEAR SIX
Wrestler of the Year:
Mil Mascaras – Mascaras came off a Year Five in which he won the Tampa Tournament and captured the world heavyweight title at the end of the year. For Year Six, he spent much of the time trying to get out from under the forced guidance of Commander Lou Albano. He lost the world title to (teammate) George Hackenschmidt, then later regained it after the injury to Harley Race, only to lose it again to Albano disciple Antonio Inoki on the heels of a grueling loss to Big Van Vader at Invasion. But his resiliency prevailed, and at the end of the year he found himself teaming with Hackenschmidt.
Runners-up: Magnum TA, Rick Rude
Top 10 Singles Wrestlers at the End of Year Six:
1. Jimmy Snuka (WHC) 2. Magnum TA (USC) 3. Mil Mascaras 4. Rick Rude 5. Ray Stevens 6. Pepper Gomez 7. Curt Hennig 8. Diamond Dallas Page 9. Johnny Valentine 10. George Hackenschmidt
Tag Team of the Year:
The Road Warriors – The up-and-down career of this BCW tag team hit a high point in Year Six, in part due to the elimination of the Road Warriors’ hated rivals, the Fabulous Kangaroos, at the hands of Giant Baba and Jushin Liger. The Road Warriors captured the tag belts from Biggest Show on Earth at Tag-o-Rama (Card 14) and kept them until an upset loss to the Naptown Dragons at Card 28. But at the year-end Wrestlethon, the belts came back at the end of a steel-cage match. It will be interesting to see who rises up to challenge the Road Warriors in Year Seven.
Runner-up: The Naptown Dragons
Top Five Tag Teams at the End of Year Six:
1. The Road Warriors (WTTC) 2. The Naptown Dragons 3. The Oilmen 4. Mad Dog Vachon and Ivan Koloff 5. The Kings of Wrestling
Manager of the Year:
Sir Oliver Humperdink – Sir Oliver Humperdink’s continued effort to take over BCW saw some advancement in Year Six, as by the end of the year his wrestlers held 10 spots in the federation. Not only that, but he enjoyed his first major title run, as the Naptown Dragons upset the Road Warriors to capture the tag belts. Although Wrestlethon did not go his way, his House of Humperdink remained a major force to be reckoned with.
Runner-up: Commander Lou Albano

YEAR SEVEN, CARD NO. 1
Bithloplex
Justin Credible and Chris Candido (w/ Tammy) made their successful return to BCW by d. S+S when Credible pinned George South after a SINGAPORE CANE SHOT that went unseen by the ref, who was distracted by the fetching Tammy. Credible and Candido looked sharp and physical in their return to BCW action after a four-year absence.
In a great back-and-forth match, Rick Rude (w/ Ida Mae) d. Pepper Gomez when he caught Gomez with his RUDE AWAKENING. Afterward, Rude seemed to ignore Ida Mae as he did his pelvic-thrust dance over the fallen Gomez.
The Naptown Dragons (w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink) d. the Oilmen in a long, great match when Scotty Vortekz rolled up Danny Hodge for the victory. Each of the four wrestlers had at least one pin attempt against him, and both teams appeared strong throughout the match.
Rob Van Dam d. Jushin Liger when he pinned him after a split-legged moonsault. Both men flew around the ring during the match, but the battle was mostly controlled by Van Dam, who looked more focused after his DQ-filled Year Six. Sir Oliver Humperdink approached Van Dam after the match, but he walked past the head of the House of Humperdink without speaking to him.
Bill Apter’s “Hot Seat” featured Commander Lou Albano and Andre the Giant. Albano announced that Andre would face BCW world heavyweight champion Jimmy Snuka later in the card for the championship. That brought out Commissioner Chad, who said, “Not so fast.” He noted that Andre had not even had a match in BCW yet, and that he needed at least one before he could get a title shot. Albano glared at the commissioner, then shrugged and said he would put “the Belgian Brawler,” Dupae Rupa, in the title match instead to represent the Foreign Legion.
That brought out Sir Oliver Humperdink, who contended that although he had “loaned” Rupa out to the Foreign Legion for Wrestlethon, it wasn’t a permanent situation. Albano asked if Humperdink wanted to take that up with Andre, who glared at him. Humperdink gulped and said Albano could have Rupa “as long as he needs him.” The commissioner said that with that issue settled, there would be a world heavyweight title match on the card. Albano said he wasn’t done with the commissioner yet, and neither was Andre! Then the Foreign Legion members left the ring.
Bobo Brazil d. Chris Hero (w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink, Larry Sweeney) when he connected on a COCO BUTT and got the pin. The match was pretty evenly fought until Brazil got the final advantage. Afterward, Sweeney jumped in and attacked Brazil, and a recovering Hero helped put the boots to Brazil until officials came to break things up.
Commissioner Chad came out and called the Road Warriors and Paul Ellering to the ring. He said it was a good win for them to regain the BCW tag-team title belts at Wrestlethon, but he had a new challenge for them: two guys who had banded together because of a common foe. Two guys who have each been a BCW tag champion before, but not together. Were the Road Warriors up for the challenge? When Ellering said “Yes,” the commissioner said, “Then let me present the Exiles: George Hackenschmidt and Mil Mascaras.”
The Exiles stunned the Road Warriors (w/ Paul Ellering) to win the BCW tag-team titles when George Hackenschmidt caught Hawk in his RUSSIAN BEAR HUG and got the submission victory. The end came after Mil Mascaras foiled Hawk’s attempt as a sunset flip, with Hawk’s head hitting the mat hard. Mascaras went for the pin attempt, then tagged in Hackenschmidt after a woozy Hawk kicked out. Animal looked to interfere, but he was distracted by the Naptown Dragons, who enticed him to leave the ring apron. When Hackenschmidt put his finisher on Hawk, he was too woozy to fight it off. Afterward, the Exiles celebrated, while Ellering looked on in disbelief and the Dragons fled ringside.
Ox Baker came out, took the mic and called out Harker Dirge: “Time to settle this, Dirge, with me hitting you and you hitting the mat!” Out came Dirge and Sir Oliver Humperdink.
“Bloody” Harker Dirge (w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink) d. Ox Baker by DQ when both wrestlers ended up outside the ring and Baker pushed over Humperdink, took his cane and used it to club Dirge, adding more fuel to their bitter rivalry. Officials finally broke things up, but not before Baker got in several good shots.
“The Belgian Brawler” Dupae Rupa (w/ Commander Lou Albano, Andre the Giant) d. BCW world heavyweight champion Jimmy Snuka by DQ when both wrestlers ended up outside the ring and Andre the Giant attacked Rupa and slammed him to the floor! Both the crowd and Snuka appeared confused afterward. Albano grabbed a microphone and yelled, “Sir Oliver, you want him back so badly? You can have him. He wasn’t getting it done anyway. And Snuka? All we’ve done here is delay your eventual demise!”
