YEAR NINE, CARD NO. 30
Eddie Graham Sports Stadium
Danny Doring came to ringside with Amish Roadkill, snatched the mic from Gary Michael Cappetta and demanded a rematch from the last card with Frank Gotch and William Muldoon, saying, “I don’t care what was wrong with Amish Roadkill last time, but he’s ready this time!”
Frank Gotch and William Muldoon (w/ Kevin Sullivan, Jazz) d. Danny Doring and Amish Roadkill when Gotch pinned Doring after a wristlock takeover. Doring was on fire early in the match, but then got into trouble and looked to tag, only to once again see Amish Roadkill be apparently mesmerized by Sullivan at ringside. Afterward, Doring angrily slapped Amish Roadkill and went to the back. Amish Roadkill followed, but he was still looking back at Sullivan, who could be seen smiling underneath his hooded head.
Sullivan and Jazz stayed at ringside with Gotch and Muldoon as Eddie Gilbert joined them. Gilbert grabbed a mic and announced, “Koko B. Ware, we haven’t forgotten about you. Your time is now!” Ware headed to ringside and conferred with the referee, who then sent Gotch and Muldoon to the back.
Koko B. Ware d. Eddie Gilbert (w/ Kevin Sullivan, Jazz) by DQ when Ware reversed a figure-four leglock by Gilbert and escaped to the outside of the ring, where he was attacked by Jazz and Sullivan. Diamond Dallas Page ran to ringside to even up the odds a bit, followed by BCW officials. Sullivan glared at Page as he helped Ware to the back and officials restored order.
Jerry Lynn and Bryan Danielson d. the Sheepherders when Lynn used his CRADLE PILEDRIVER to get the pin. The Sheepherders attacked Lynn before the bell rang and very nearly pinned him before he could tag in Danielson. Danielson then carried the majority of the match before Lynn asked to be tagged back in to extract his vengeance. Afterward, Lynn took the mic and said, “If there is a debate about who should face the tag champions at Wrestlethon, then we should definitely be part of that debate!”
As Lynn and Danielson left ringside, Abdullah Farouk arrived with the U.S. heavyweight champion, the Sheik. Farouk grabbed a mic and announced, “The Sheik is the toughest fighter in BCW – no one can stand against him, and no one will take his belt!” That brought the Sandman to the ring to contest the claim: “I don’t care about the belt, but the toughest man title? The Sheik will have to prove it to me – no DQ, right now!”
In an absolutely wild match, the U.S. heavyweight champion the Sheik (w/ Abdullah Farouk) d. the Sandman when he threw a FIREBALL and then got the pin. The match was back and forth, with each wrestler spending more time throwing his opponent outside the ring than keeping him in it. Each also had a number of pin attempts against him and was bleeding afterward. Abdullah Farouk took the mic when the match was done and said, “Strangler Lewis, if you think you are regaining this belt at Wrestlethon, you are wrong – dead wrong!”
Diamond Dallas Page came to ringside, grabbed a mic and made fun of Jimmy Hart’s “error” with his megaphone during BCW world heavyweight champion John Tolos’ match with Lou Thesz on the previous card. Chris Tolos came out with Hart and said it was “time to shut DDP’s mouth – again!”
Diamond Dallas Page d. Chris Tolos (w/ Jimmy Hart) by DQ when Tolos was caught attacking Page with Hart’s megaphone while Hart was trying to distract the referee. Hart’s distraction came on the heels of Page giving a DIAMOND CUTTER to Tolos. As Page grabbed Hart and started tossing him around the ring, Tolos recovered enough to attack Page. But as Tolos went to swing at Page with the megaphone, he missed and fell, causing Tolos to land on the megaphone and gash his head. BCW world heavyweight champion John Tolos showed up at ringside, but Page left in the opposite direction.
Rob Van Dam and Bill Alfonso came out to face “Superstar” Bill Dundee. Van Dam grabbed a mic and said, “I know you’ve got Virgil there to protect your back, but dude, you two had better be ready to perform, because this is now a tag match, and I’m not alone!” The crowd then erupted as Sabu made his way to the ring in his return from injury.
“Superstar” Bill Dundee and Virgil d. BCW world tag-team champions Rob Van Dam and Sabu (w/ Bill Alfonso) by DQ in a nontitle match when Van Dam nailed Dundee with a spinning kick outside the ring. Sabu had a strong start in the match, but then he showed the effects of his time away from the ring. Dundee rallied and even got a pin attempt before Sabu slipped out of the ring. Dundee followed, getting a faceful of Van Dam’s boot as a reward for his pursuit.
Jimmy Snuka came to ringside and grabbed a mic and called out Mil Mascaras, saying, “Are you still off pouting somewhere because Tolos took your title? Why don’t you pull on your boots, come down here and face another three-time BCW world heavyweight champion, if you still have any guts.” Mascaras headed to ringside.
Mil Mascaras d. Jimmy Snuka by DQ when Snuka would not stop beating on Mascaras outside the ring. Mascaras was mostly lackluster on offense in the ring, and Snuka hit a SUPERFLY LEAP at one point but couldn’t get the pin. Officials eventually separated the two outside the squared circle, with Snuka yelling, “You are through, Mascaras!”
Once ringside was clear, BCW world heavyweight champion John Tolos came out with the title belt on his shoulder and Jimmy Hart trailing behind him. Tolos grabbed a mic and said, “Those two former washed-up champs who were just out here need to go back home, especially Mascaras. As for me, I’m angry. Not only did my brother get injured earlier while wrestling that clown Page, but Lou Thesz beating me on the last card was a fluke. I’m angry, and I want a piece of someone right now. Any takers in the back?”
John Pesek arrived at ringside, grabbed a mic and said: “How about another former BCW world heavyweight champion, Tolos? You don’t seem to be doing too well with them lately.”
BCW world heavyweight champion John Tolos (w/ Jimmy Hart) d. John Pesek in a nontitle match when Hart clunked Pesek with his megaphone while the referee was distracted by the appearance of a heavily bandaged and apparently woozy Chris Tolos at ringside trying to climb up to the ring apron. After Hart’s hit, John Tolos used his FLYING KNEE DROP to get the pin on Pesek, who had been controlling the match before Hart’s intervention. Tolos looked to do more damage after the pin, but Ed “Strangler” Lewis, watching the match at ringside, stood up and made eye contact with Tolos, then shook his head. Tolos stared at Lewis for a minute, then grabbed the title belt and headed to the back with his brother and Hart.

YEAR NINE, CARD NO. 31
Orange County Convention Center
Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase (w/ Virgil) d. Mister X when he used his MILLION DOLLAR SLEEPER to submit Mister X about three minutes into the match. Afterward, DiBiase took the mic and said, “Every man has his price, and tonight Danielson and Lynn are going to pay theirs! Then, at Wrestlethon, the Masked Superstars are going to bring the tag-team gold to where it belongs – with Money Inc.!”
The Sheepherders d. S+S when Luke Williams used a pair of BATTERING RAMS against Larry Sharpe to get the pin. The match was a long one, and the Sheepherders couldn’t quite get on the same page with one another until the end of the match.
Diamond Dallas Page came out and called for “that no-good snake Sullivan” to get into the ring and face him. Instead, Eddie Gilbert of Sullivan’s Dungeon of Doom came to ringside, grabbed a mic and said, “The Master has no time for you – but I do!”
Eddie Gilbert d. Diamond Dallas Page using a DDT when Page was distracted by Sullivan’s sudden appearance at ringside. Afterward, Sullivan stood over Page with a mic and said: “You’ll never learn, Page. No one here will ever learn. Instead, they will need to be given instruction – a painful lesson.” He then gave Page a vicious kick in the ribs and added, “If you come after me again, your career in BCW will be over.” Sullivan then left with Gilbert.
U.S. heavyweight champion the Sheik (w/ Abdullah Farouk) d. Virgil in a nontitle match when he punished Virgil with a sharp object, then put him in a painful CAMEL CLUTCH for the submission win. Afterward, Farouk took the mic and said, “You can tell your Million Dollar Man, Virgil, that we have a price as well – his head – if he dares to face us.”
Frank Gotch d. Bruiser Brody (w/ Kevin Sullivan, Jazz) by DQ when Brody put Gotch through a table at ringside, injuring him. Brody did it after pushing Sullivan into Jazz, then grabbed a mic afterward and yelled, “Face ME at Wrestlethon, Sullivan – if you dare!”
Mr. Fuji and Mr. Saito came out to back up Sullivan as Brody left ringside. Sullivan took the mic and said, “Brody, your time is coming. And now I want to talk to the BCW world tag-team champions, Rob Van Dam and Sabu. Come to ringside, gentlemen.”
Van Dam and Sabu arrived at ringside with Bill Alfonso. Sullivan then said: “I see dark things in you, Sabu. For now, put that aside for another time. I know you will face one of the tag teams that will battle next at Wrestlethon. Tonight, I’m offering you the chance to face the tag team champions of the future, Saito and Fuji!” Sabu looked uncertain, but Van Dam said they would take the match.
BCW world tag-team champions Rob Van Dam and Sabu (w/ Bill Alfonso) d. Mr. Fuji and Mr. Saito (w/ Kevin Sullivan, Jazz) by DQ in a nontitle match when Fuji threw salt into the eyes of Sabu, blinding him – but not the referee, who made the DQ call. Sabu seemed transfixed by Sullivan’s hooded stare throughout the match, forgetting to tag back in at one point and causing Van Dam to take a bit of additional punishment from Fuji and Saito. Afterward, Sabu backed his way from ringside, still staring at Sullivan as the leader of the Dungeon of Doom laughed.
The Masked Superstars (w/ Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase, “Superstar” Bill Dundee) won the No. 1 contender match for the BCW world tag-team titles by d. Bryan Danielson and Jerry Lynn when Masked Superstar I pinned Danielson after a nasty Superstar clothesline. Danielson, who was in the ring for the whole match, tried to tag in Lynn at one point, only to see him battling with Mr. Fuji and Mr. Saito. After that, Danielson stood no chance, while DiBiase simply laughed. Dundee spend his time looking away from the ring, apparently expecting the Sheik or John Pesek to appear.
After officials cleared the ring, BCW world heavyweight champion John Tolos came to ringside with Chris Tolos and Jimmy Hart. Hart used the megaphone to encourage the audience to stand up and cheer the reigning champion of the world, but that announcement sparked mostly boos. John Tolos then grabbed and mic and announced that he didn’t know who his opponent would be for Wrestlethon, but whoever it was, that wrestler “would not stand a chance, because I’m still angry. Angry that my brother was injured; angry at these loser fans for booing me, and angry that people thought that ‘washed-up’ Thesz or that masked chump Mil Mascaras was better than him!” Tolos added that no one in the locker room was as good as he is.
Then Ed “Strangler” Lewis came to ringside, took a mic and said, “I’d like to test that theory.” John Tolos did not look happy at the challenge.
BCW world heavyweight champion John Tolos (w/ Chris Tolos, Jimmy Hart) d. Ed “Strangler” Lewis in a nontitle match when he hit a FLYING KNEE DROP and pinned Lewis, who had been distracted by the appearance of the Sheik at ringside, who kept yelling, “We’re not done yet, Lewis!” Afterward, Tolos looked happy until Commissioner Chad came to ringside. The commissioner announced that Tolos would get to prove his statement of how good he is – through a best-two-of-three-falls match with Lou Thesz at Wrestlethon, with only the wrestlers allowed at ringside! Hart and the Tolos brothers threw a fit as fans cheered.

YEAR NINE, CARD NO. 32
Wrestlethon PPV – Tampa Stadium
Commissioner Chad welcomed the crowd to Wrestlethon, BCW’s biggest event of Year Nine. He reviewed the card: three title matches, plus a host of other matches, including a pair of cage matches (two rings were set up on the field, with one including a cage) and two new types of matches. “The first one is a ‘Golden Ticket’ match, in which a member of the developmental federation FSW has earned the right to wrestle someone from BCW who is not already in another match,” the commissioner said. “If the FSW member wins, he gains a spot in BCW – and the BCW wrestler is gone!”
FSW’s Erick Stevens earned a BCW roster spot when he surprised Tiger Mask with a Choo Choo corner splash and got the pin. The match was a long and a good one, with both men getting pin attempts on the other, but Stevens’ desire to be in BCW apparently made the difference in getting the victory. Tiger Mask shook hands with him afterward, then waved to the fans and departed ringside.
Jerry Lynn and Bryan Danielson d. Mr. Fuji and Mr. Saito (w/ Jazz) by DQ when Mr. Fuji was caught throwing salt into the eyes of Lynn. Saito and Fuji had isolated Lynn and were punishing him ahead of the DQ, an error on the part of Fuji. The surprise was that there was no sign of Kevin Sullivan in support of members of the Dungeon of Doom.
The Sandman came to ringside wielding his Singapore cane. He picked up a mic and said, “My recent match with the Sheik was great, and even though I lost, I loved it. Anyone else in the back up for a hardcore, no-DQ challenge?” To the delight of the fans, answering the challenge was Diamond Dallas Page!
Diamond Dallas Page d. the Sandman in a hardcore match when Sandman missed while swinging his Singapore cane and Page hit the DIAMOND CUTTER for the victory. The match was violent, physical and bloody, and Page more survived it than won.
Commissioner Chad took the mic to explain that the U.S. heavyweight title match would be a cage match, as both men had agreed to it “so they could punish the other person!”
The Sheik retained the U.S. heavyweight championship by d. Ed “Strangler” Lewis in a cage match when he stunned Lewis with a FIREBALL to the face and got the pin. The match was a brutal one for both wrestlers, as expected, but the Sheik was in his element. Lewis was led to the back with his hands covering his face.
Commissioner Chad was back on the mic to announce the first “Swap Shop” match. In the match (in this case a tag-team contest), the winner can decide to stay in BCW or join the AWA. Whatever the winner decided, the loser would get the alternative.
Danny Doring and Roadkill d. the Sheepherders when Doring pinned Luke Williams using the DANACONDA. Afterward, Doring took the mic and announced, “We’ll never get a fair shake here, so we are going to the AWA!” Commissioner Chad then announced who was coming back from the AWA: George “the Animal” Steele and “the French Angel,” Maurice Tillet, two wrestlers who left BCW more than a year ago!
John Pesek came to ringside, grabbed a mic and said it was time to finally settle matters with Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase, the “betrayer.” DiBiase then arrived at ringside with Bill Dundee and Virgil and said, “Not so fast, Pesek. I’m all about the earnings, so you will have to get by my tag team here to earn a shot at me – if you can find anyone to team up with you at this late date.” DiBiase began to laugh as Pesek went to the back. But the laughter stopped when Pesek came back with Danny Hodge and Dan “the Beast” Severn. Pesek said, “OK, DiBiase, here’s the deal: Your team wins, no match between us. But if my team wins, it’s an ‘I quit’ match, and it will not go well for you.” DiBiase started to shake his head “no,” but Commissioner Chad interrupted to say, “Sounds like a deal – let’s make it happen!”
Danny Hodge and Dan “the Beast” Severn lost by DQ to “Superstar” Bill Dundee and Virgil when Virgil ducked while he and Severn were battling outside the ring and Severn accidentally hit “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase, who was at ringside. As DiBiase’s team helped him up after the relatively glancing blow, Commissioner Chad grabbed a mic and said, “Virgil didn’t duck – he had just escaped the WAKIGATAME from Severn and DiBiase knew he was in trouble, so he pulled Virgil down. These fans paid money to see this match, so I’m declaring the bout between Pesek and the Million Dollar Man is on – and it’s next!” As the suddenly recovered DiBiase threw a fit, the fans cheered the decision.
John Pesek (w/ Dan Severn, Danny Hodge) d. Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase (w/ Bill Dundee, Virgil) in an awesome “I quit” match when DiBiase’s right foot got caught between the twisted bottom and middle ropes and Pesek began pummeling him until DiBiase finally said, “I quit!” before passing out. The momentum of the match went back and forth, but Pesek’s passionate anger overcame DiBiase’s goal of winning. When Virgil and Dundee tried to interfere, they were engaged by Hodge and Severn to keep the odds even. Afterward, Pesek took the mic and said, “We are done, DiBiase. And let me also introduce the BCW world to the revival of a term used in the very beginning of BCW and will be used for the two men standing with me: We are the Technicians, and, along with others, we will lead BCW into a new era of wrestling.” The three then departed ringside.
BCW world tag-team champions Rob Van Dam and Sabu (w/ Bill Alfonso) d. the Masked Superstars (w/ Virgil) by DQ when Masked Superstar II bashed Sabu with a ringside chair due to frustration. Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase was not at ringside due to the effects of his loss in the previous match, and his presence might have kept the Masked Superstars on track. DiBiase’s team controlled much of the contest, but could not get the pin, and Virgil was unable to distract the referee when the DQ came down. With the victory, Van Dam and Sabu completed a full year as the BCW tag champs – the longest tag-team reign ever in BCW.
In the second “Swap Shop” match, Dick Hutton d. S.D. Jones using his ABDOMINAL STRETCH finisher after a long match in which both men acquitted themselves well. Afterward, the commissioner came to the ring with a microphone to ask Hutton about what he had decided. Before he could speak, he saw John Pesek come to ringside. Pesek entered the ring and whispered in Hutton’s ear, and Hutton then announced, “I’m staying!” With that, he exited with Pesek. The commissioner announced that while S.D. Jones was headed to the AWA, coming back would be … former BCW U.S. heavyweight champion and former AWA world heavyweight champion Don Muraco!
Jimmy Snuka d. Mil Mascaras in a battle of three-time BCW world heavyweight champions when Snuka hit a huge SUPERFLY LEAP onto Mascaras, a jump that seemed to injure Snuka in the process, although he managed to record the pin. The two wrestlers battled each other relentlessly, with Mascaras’ mask torn in the process. The crowd was mostly stunned by the intensity and Snuka’s apparent last-gasp jump for victory. Officials opened the cage and helped both men to the back.
Before the next match, Commissioner Chad announced a special stipulation agreed to by both sides: If Koko B Ware and Bruiser Brody won, then Kevin Sullivan would remain unable to wrestle in BCW. However, if Eddie Gilbert and William Muldoon won, then Sullivan would be allowed to wrestle – and Ware would be gone!
“Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert and William Muldoon (w/ Kevin Sullivan, Jazz) d. Koko B. Ware and Bruiser Brody when Gilbert pinned an injured Ware after a nasty DDT, meaning Ware is out of BCW and Sullivan is officially in. The match took an unexpected turn when Ware went to tag in Brody for a potential victory, only to find him gone, distracted by the appearance of the Freak Show (Steele and Tillet), whom he chased to the back. Gilbert never tagged in Muldoon, and when the Freak Show returned to ringside, they bowed to Sullivan and held up Brody’s chain! Muldoon appeared confused as the other members of the Dungeon of Doom celebrated at ringside.
Lou Thesz regained the BCW world heavyweight title by d. John Tolos in a best-of-three falls match. In the first fall, Tolos came out determined to destroy Thesz, pummeling him and throwing him out of the ring, where he used the chain left behind by the Freak Show to try to choke Thesz out until the referee intervened, awarding the first fall to Thesz after conferring with the commissioner at ringside and giving a warning to Tolos that he would be disqualified – and lose the title, unlike other DQs – if he kept it up.
In the second fall, Thesz recovered enough to engage in an amazing back-and-forth clash with Tolos, who got in a corkscrew and a FLYING KNEE DROP. Thesz managed to avoid the pin and climb outside the ring. Tolos’ actions away from the squared circle came close to a DQ, but he was able to get Thesz back into the ring. That’s when Thesz rallied one more time and used a GRECO-ROMAN BACKDROP to record the pin and capture the title. With the win, he joined Jimmy Snuka, Johnny Valentine and Mil Mascaras as the only three-time BCW world heavyweight champions. As Thesz held up the belt, Tolos and an arriving Jimmy Hart complained bitterly to the referee about his no-DQ call during the first fall.

BITHLO CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING YEAR-END AWARDS – YEAR NINE
Wrestler of the Year:
John Tolos – While no one dominated either of the two singles belts during the year (Mil Mascaras had the longest unbroken reign at 10 cards after winning the BCW world heavyweight title at Tag-o-Rama), the wrestler who garnered the most attention, and had the most dramatic rise, was John Tolos. After competing as an independent at Battle Bowl (and vowing to return after being the last one eliminated in a qualifying match), he returned with his brother Chris at Invasion, beating the tag team of Ivan Koloff and Boris Zhukov to earn a spot in BCW. From there, all he did was win the Tampa Tournament (with the help of manager Jimmy Hart), beat Mil Mascaras two cards later to win the BCW world heavyweight championship, then face Thesz at Wrestlethon, losing the belt in a controversial manner. Overall, he set BCW on its ear, with more chaos expected from him, his brother and his manager in Year 10.
Runner-up: Mil Mascaras
Top 10 Singles Wrestlers at the End of Year Nine:
1. Lou Thesz (WHC) 2. The Sheik (USC) 3. John Tolos 4. Diamond Dallas Page 5. Mil Mascaras 6. Frank Gotch 7. John Pesek 8. Ed “Strangler” Lewis 9. Dick Hutton 10. Ted DiBiase
Tag Team of the Year:
Rob Van Dam and Sabu – This duo, managed by Bill Alfonso, set a record for longest BCW tag-team title reign, holding the belts for the entirety of Year Nine after winning them by defeating the Road Warriors in a no-DQ match at the beginning of the year. The duo won Tag-o-Rama by defeating former four-time BCW champions the Fabulous Kangaroos in the final. Although they lost in the finals of the tag-team segment at War Games, they finished the year by successfully defending the belts against the rival Masked Superstars at Wrestlethon.
Runner-up: Bryan Danielson and Jerry Lynn
Top Five Tag Teams at the End of Year Nine:
1. Rob Van Dam and Sabu (WTTC) 2. Masked Superstars 3. Bryan Danielson and Jerry Lynn 4. “Superstar” Bill Dundee and Virgil 5. Frank Gotch and William Muldoon
Manager of the Year:
Bill Alfonso – Alfonso was an important force behind the season-long tag-team champions. He goaded the Road Warriors into defending (and losing) the titles in a no-DQ match, then mostly avoided them. He convinced the commissioner not to strip his wrestlers of the belts while Sabu recovered from an injury. In short, he did all he could (including causing the occasional DQ) to keep his team as champions.
Runner-up: Jimmy Hart

YEAR 10, CARD NO. 1
Bithloplex
Erick Stevens d. John Pesek by DQ when “Superstar” Bill Dundee hit Stevens with a chair from behind when Stevens and Pesek were outside the ring. The attack was an apparent retaliation for Pesek defeating Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase at Wrestlethon at the end of Year Nine. Pesek chased Dundee from ringside as a battered Stevens barely celebrated a victory.
S+S d. the Masked Superstars by DQ when the Masked Superstars drug their opponents out of the ring and kept beating on them, topped off when Masked Superstar I gave a SPINNING NECKBREAKER to George South. Apparently the Masked Superstars still had anger issues related to their loss in the BCW tag-team championship match at Wrestlethon and were looking to work through those issues, using S+S as their means of expression. S+S, in turn, got a rare victory as part of the price they paid.
Commissioner Chad came out, took a mic and thanked the crowd for attending the first celebration of the 10th year of BCW! He announced that during this year, there will be challenge matches on various upcoming cards that will allow new talent to possibly enter BCW, expanding the roster. He added that fans will want to keep their eyes open for other memorable events in Year 10.
“The French Angel” Maurice Tillet and George “the Animal” Steele (w/ William Muldoon) d. Danny Hodge and Dick Hutton when Tillet used his BEAR HUG to subdue Hodge, who had been battered by Tillet and Steele throughout the match. Muldoon seemed to watch with some discomfort as the match went on and Hodge was battered, followed by the fearsome pair celebrating afterward.
Abdullah Farouk came to ringside, grabbed a mic and announced that the U.S. heavyweight champion the Sheik was looking to defend his title – as long the match was a no-DQ one. He then asked, “Who will take the challenge?” The answer then marched to ringside: former U.S. heavyweight champion Dan Severn!
Dan Severn became the BCW U.S. heavyweight champion for a second time, nearly eight years after his first reign, by d. the Sheik (w/ Abdullah Farouk) in a no-DQ match using the WAKIGATAME. The match was as brutal as expected, and when it looked like Severn was about to win, Farouk attempted to interfere, but he was pulled from the ring apron by former U.S. heavyweight champion Ed “Strangler” Lewis. The crowd erupted at the finish. Severn shook hands with Lewis, and the pair left ringside together.
Commissioner Chad came to ringside to welcome Don Muraco back to BCW. The commissioner said he didn’t want to waste time getting him back into BCW action after his stint in the AWA, so he had a match for the former AWA world heavyweight champion set up – against Virgil!
Don Muraco d. Virgil using his HAWAIIAN HAMMER. Virgil got in some offense during the match and even had the COBRA CLUTCH hold on Muraco at one point, but Muraco rallied to make his return to BCW a winning one.
BCW world tag-team champions Rob Van Dam and Sabu (w/ Bill Alfonso) d. Mr. Fuji and Mr. Saito (w/ Kevin Sullivan and Jazz) when Van Dam pinned Saito following a FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH. Once again, Sabu seemed entranced by the hooded Sullivan, whose mind-numbing gaze at Sabu was derailed by Alfonso trying to get Sabu’s attention. The commotion distracted Fuji enough to keep him from breaking up Van Dam’s pin attempt after his finisher. The result: Another victory by the longest-reigning BCW tag-team champions.
John Tolos and Jimmy Hart came to ringside, with Hart grabbing a mic and complaining about how Tolos had been robbed of the BCW world heavyweight championship by Lou Thesz and BCW at Wrestlethon, and how Tolos could not get a return match on the first card this year. That comment brought out Commissioner Chad, who re-emphasized that Tolos would get a return match – but not on this card. But Tolos would get a suitable opponent on this card – Mil Mascaras! As Mascaras headed to ringside, Tolos and Hart continued complaining to the commissioner, with no favorable results.
John Tolos (w/ Jimmy Hart) d. Mil Mascaras when he nailed Mascaras with his “FLYING KNEE DROP” finisher. Mascaras and the referee were distracted by Hart early in the match, and that allowed Tolos to jam his thumb into Mascaras’ throat. Mascaras appeared to have problems catching his breath after that, which provided the opening Tolos needed to finish his opponent. Tolos then took a seat near ringside, along with Hart, to watch the next match.
BCW world heayyweight champion Lou Thesz d. Bryan Danielson by DQ in a best-of-three-falls match when John Tolos attacked Thesz outside the ring, ending what had been a great match. In the first fall, both men got pin attempts against the other before Thesz was able to use a second GRECO-ROMAN BACKDROP to get the pin. In the second fall, both wrestlers ended up outside the ring, and that\s when Tolos attacked Thesz. Danielson ended up pushing Tolos away, but Tolos retaliated with a thumb to the throat of Danielson, then used Jimmy Hart’s megaphone to smack Thesz in the head before the referee and officials pushed Tolos away while the crowd booed at the interruption of the match.

YEAR 10, CARD NO. 2
UCF Arena
Roderick Strong returned from injury, and as he headed to ringside, he was met by Commissioner Chad, who lifted his mic and said, “Roderick, we are glad to have you back in BCW. However, let me say right now, you don’t have to join Kevin Sullivan’s group of wrestlers. You can be on your own. You don’t need Sullivan.” Strong shook his head in acknowledgement, then got into the ring to face George South.
Roderick Strong d. George South when he overcame a slow start by using a series of backbreakers and then finished off South with his STRONGHOLD. Afterward, he was celebrating his comeback win until he saw Kevin Sullivan appear at ringside. He then got out of the ring and followed Sullivan to the back.
“Superstar” Bill Dundee and Virgil d. Mister X and Johnny Rodz when Dundee pinned Rodz after he missed a clothesline on Dundee and crashed into the turnbuckle. The new team of Rodz and Mister X had the members of the Million Dollar Corp. befuddled for a long time before they were finally able to get the victory.
The match between the Sheepherders and the Freak Show (w/ Kevin Sullivan, Jazz, Roderick Strong) was ruled a double DQ as both sides ended up brawling outside the ring. The Sheepherders ended up on the bad side of things when the “French Angel” Maurice Tillet gave Luke Williams a nasty-looking slam on the floor, injuring him. Officials then finally got the two sides separated.
Kevin Sullivan and Jazz remained at ringside as officials shepherded the other wrestlers to the back. Then Ed “Strangler” Lewis came to ringside, grabbed a mic and said, “Sullivan, William Muldoon has no business being with the likes of you.” Sullivan laughed, grabbed the mic from Lewis and said, “I’ll show you how much ‘business’ he has with the likes of me. Muldoon, come down to ringside and show Mr. Lewis where your allegiance lies.” A few moments later, Muldoon came to ringside.
In an amazing exhibition of technical maneuvers and counters, Ed “Strangler” Lewis d. William Muldoon (w/ Kevin Sullivan, Jazz) when he locked on his STRANGLER’S HEADLOCK submission. After the match, which was long and full of action, the Freak Show returned to ringside, threw Lewis out of it, and then pummeled Muldoon, injuring him. Sullivan then took the mic and said, “You can have him, Lewis. He was a means to an end, and now he’s not good enough for us anymore.”
Mr. Fuji and Mr. Saito (w/ Kevin Sullivan, Jazz) d. Bryan Danielson and Jerry Lynn when Lynn succumbed to Saito’s sleeper while Danielson was distracted by Jazz. It marked a bit of revenge for Saito and Fuji given their long-running feud with Danielson and Lynn the previous year.
Gary Michael Cappetta came to ringside to announce that the next match was a special challenge: Mil Mascaras had requested a match against the former U.S. heavyweight champion, the Sheik, who scorched him with a fireball in Year Nine.
The Sheik (w/ Abdullah Farouk) d. Mil Mascaras when Farouk distracted the referee and the Sheik once again used a FIREBALL to stun and then take down the three-time former BCW world heavyweight champion. After Mascaras, who dominated most of the match, was pinned, he complained to the referee, to no avail. Afterward, Farouk grabbed the mic and said, “Woe to the man who calls out the Sheik!”
The Sandman came out with his Singapore cane, grabbed a mic and announced, “I hear that the new U.S. champion isn’t afraid of a little no-DQ action. Come down here, Severn, and bring that shiny belt with you.” Severn headed to the ring.
U.S. heavyweight champion Dan Severn d. the Sandman by using a choke sleeper. Severn handled the roughness of the match early in his title defense, not allowing the Sandman to get much momentum at all.
In a challenge match for joining BCW, Danny Hodge and Dick Hutton d. former BCW tag-team champions the Valiants, denying then a spot in the promotion. Hutton used a cowboy backbreaker to get the pin on Jimmy Valiant after effectively cutting him off from tagging his brother, Johnny. The Valiants were disappointed that their attempt fell short.
Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase came out with the Masked Superstars to announce that the Superstars were ready for another shot at the tag champions – provided Rob Van Dam and Sabu “weren’t afraid of them.” Out came Bill Alfonso with Commissioner Chad. “Fine,” Alfonso said, “as long as this is your last shot. If you don’t win this match, then that’s it as long as Rob Van Dam and Sabu hold the belts!” DiBiase threw a fit, but the commissioner agreed, saying, “It’s put up or shut up time, gentlemen. The match is on!”
The Masked Superstars (w/ Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase) d. BCW world tag-team champions Rob Van Dam and Sabu (w/ Bill Alfonso) by DQ when Van Dam use a Van Daminator against Masked Superstar II. DiBiase was arguing with the referee and Commissioner Chad about the results (no title change) when the commissioner announced that to be fair to both sides, there would be one more match between the two teams on the next card – and the belts could change hands on a DQ! Then it was Alfonso’s turn to complain – to no avail.

YEAR 10, CARD NO. 3
Lakeland Civic Center
Dick Hutton and Danny Hodge d. Johnny Rodz and Mister X when Hutton used his ABDOMINAL STRETCH to get the submission victory. The match was relatively short, as Hutton and Hodge apparently wanted to show that they mean business.
U.S. heavyweight champion Dan Severn came out for his match against Virgil, only to be challenged at ringside by Abdullah Farouk, who says that Severn fears a title rematch against the vengeful Sheik! Then Ed “Strangler” Lewis showed up to say that before the Sheik can get another shot at Severn and the belt, he would first need to face Lewis – if he dared – after Severn’s match. The two continued to argue as Severn got into the ring to face onetime U.S. heavyweight champion Virgil.
U.S. heavyweight champion Dan Severn d. Virgil using the WAKIGATAME. Virgil put up some resistance during the match as the Sheik, who had come to ringside to join Farouk, and Ed “Strangler” Lewis watched, but eventually he fell short against Severn.
As Lewis climbed into the ring to face the Sheik, Abdullah Farouk yelled, “No DQ!” Lewis shook his head in agreement, and the match was on as Severn stayed to watch at ringside.
In an amazing and bloody match, The Sheik (w/ Abdullah Farouk) d. Ed “Strangler” Lewis by getting him to submit to the CAMEL CLUTCH. Lewis had the Sheik in trouble earlier in the match with this “STRANGLER’S HEADLOCK,” but Farouk jumped onto the ring apron and distracted the referee while the Sheik grabbed a sharp object from this tights and stabbed Lewis in the forehead. The momentum then shifted, with the Sheik eventually getting the bloody Lewis to submit, then keeping the finisher on Lewis until Severn entered the ring and told him to break the hold, which he eventually did while glaring at Severn. Farouk then grabbed a mic, pointed at Severn and said, “You are the next to fall!”
Commissioner Chad came to ringside, grabbed a mic and said that Bryan Danielson and Jerry Lynn were unhappy with their match on the last card against Mr. Saito and Mr. Fuji, which ended in a loss for Danielson and Lynn. So they requested a rematch – which would be next!
In a great match, Jerry Lynn and Bryan Danielson d. Mr. Fuji and Mr. Saito (w/ Kevin Sullivan, Jazz) when Lynn used successive CRADLE PILEDRIVERS on Fuji to get the pin. After the first one, Mr. Saito came into the ring to break up the pin attempt, but after leaving he was unable to get back into the ring fast enough to stop the second pin attempt. Sullivan was glaring at ringside afterward.
Sullivan’s unhappiness grew when Bruiser Brody showed up at ringside, picked up a mic and announced that he had “unfinished business” with Sullivan, “and I intend to finish it now!” Sullivan grinned and said, “Big man, I’m glad you showed up, because there’s someone who wants to spend some time with you – the ‘fiery’ Eddie Gilbert!”
Bruiser Brody d. Eddie Gilbert (w/ Kevin Sullivan, Jazz, Mr. Fuji and Mr. Saito) by DQ when Sullivan, Fuji and Saito entered the ring to interfere after Brody hit his JUMPING KNEE DROP and was going for the pin. Before they could fully attack Brody, Bryan Danielson and Jerry Lynn showed back up at ringside, and officials eventually cleared the ring as Brody and Sullivan yelled at each other.
Commissioner Chad came back to ringside to make sure the rules were clear for the upcoming BCW world tag-team championship match. The main point: The titles could change hands on a DQ, and this would be the Masked Superstars’ final shot at the belts while they were held by Sabu and Rob Van Dam! With that, the Masked Superstars and Rob Van Dam and Sabu headed to ringside with their respective managers.
Rob Van Dam and Sabu (w/ Bill Alfonso) d. the effort by the Masked Superstars (w/ Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase) to win the BCW world tag-team titles when Sabu put Masked Superstar I in a CAMEL CLUTCH and got the submission. Sabu never even tagged in Van Dam, taking on both Masked Superstars, one at a time, as he was a house afire. While DiBiase yelled at the Masked Superstars afterward, Abdullah Farouk came to ringside and spoke to Sabu, who shook his head “no,” then eventually “yes.” Farouk then grabbed the mic and said, “Did you see how fantastic he was in that match, Bill Alfonso and Rob Van Dam? Unfortunately, this is it! His uncle has need of him to regain the U.S. title and to help keep him away from the evil that is Kevin Sullivan. So this tag team is no more!” Van Dam looked on, stunned, as Sabu handed Alfonso the tag belt and left with Farouk. Fans were also stunned at the turn of events.
After the ring was cleared, John Tolos and Jimmy Hart came down to ringside. Tolos picked up a mic and said, “My brother is going to be back in action on the next card, but there’s something I need to do first – put a severe beating on the lowlife who injured him … Dumb Dallas Page! So come to ringside, you useless piece of garbage, and get the beatdown you so richly deserve from a superior wrestler and a former world champion!” Page came to ringside to answer Tolos’ request.
In a great match, John Tolos (w/ Jimmy Hart) d. Diamond Dallas Page when he used his FLYING KNEE DROP finisher to get the pin. That came after Page connected on a DIAMOND CUTTER earlier in the match, only to have Hart distract the referee while his megaphone fell into the ring. A barely coherent Tolos grabbed the megaphone and belted Page, which turned the match around. After his victory, Tolos looked to inflict more damage, but Hart pointed out that BCW world heavyweight champion Lou Thesz was headed to ringside. Tolos taunted Thesz for a minute, then slipped out of the ring and headed to the back with Hart.
While Thesz was still at ringside, he was approached by Don Muraco, who grabbed a mic and said, “You know, Thesz, I was once the AWA world heavyweight champion, and I was seen as one of the best in the business. Now that I’m back in BCW, it’s time to see if you can measure up – if you dare!” Thesz took the BCW world heavyweight title off his shoulder and motioned for Muraco to join him in the ring. Command Chad came to ringside, talked to both men, then told the referee it would be a non-title, one-fall match, and if Muraco won, he would get a title shot at Bithlo Bash.
Don Muraco d. BCW world heavyweight champion Lou Thesz by DQ when Thesz inadvertently hit the referee while both wrestlers were outside the ring. The pair started the match on fire, and Muraco was hard-pressed to gain a full advantage. But ultimately both men ended up outside the ring, led by Muraco, and he struck at the right time, just before the referee got between the two. Afterward, as Thesz tried to explain to the ref what happened, Muraco grabbed him for an over-the-shoulder backbreaker, then dropped him to the floor. Muraco then took the mic and said, “At Bithlo Bash, I will finish what I started here – if you make it until then!”

YEAR 10, CARD NO. 4
City Auditorium, Ocala Rob Van Dam opened the card by coming to ringside with Bill Alfonso, Commissioner Chad and the BCW world tag team belts. Van Dam took the mic and announced that because of the split with Sabu, he was relinquishing the belts. “I could have found another partner, but it wouldn’t have been the same,” Van Dam said. “We were tag champs for more than a year, the best reign ever in BCW. It’s time for me to go after a singles title.” The crowd applauded as Van Dam handed the commissioner his mic before he and Alfonso left ringside.
The commissioner then announced that there would be an eight-team tag tournament, with two matches starting on this card!
Eddie Gilbert d. Johnny Rodz when, after punishing Rodz for a while, Gilbert used a HOT SHOT to notch the victory.
Don Muraco d. Larry Sharpe when he first ran him into a turnbuckle post at ringside before the match began, then used his HAWAIIAN HAMMER to finish the deal. Afterward, he picked up a mic and said, “Come Bithlo Bash, the main event will feature the ending of Lou Thesz’s BCW career and his title reign.”
John Pesek d. “Superstar” Bill Dundee (w/ Virgil) when, at the end of a very long match, Pesek slapped on a TIGER MAN TOEHOLD for the submission win. That was followed by Virgil, who interfered throughout the match, attacking Pesek, injuring him before Dan Severn and Dick Hutton came to ringside to run them off.
Bruiser Brody came to ringside, grabbed a mic and again called out Kevin Sullivan for their “unfinished business.” Instead, Roderick Strong came to ringside and said that if Brody wanted a piece of Sullivan, he would first have to go through him. Brody laughed, then motioned him into the ring.
Bruiser Brody d. Roderick Strong when he connected on a JUMPING KNEE DROP for the victory. Strong got off to a good start in the match, but Brody finally got going and turned things up a notch to finish off Strong and perhaps get a step closer to facing Sullivan, who did not go to ringside for the match.
Bill Apter’s “Hot Seat” featured Diamond Dallas Page. Apter asked about Page’s feud with the Tolos brothers. Page said if it weren’t for that “punk” Jimmy Hart, we probably would've eliminated “these problems” from BCW by now. Before he could say more, Chris Tolos attacked him from behind, opening up a gash on Page’s head using Hart’s megaphone. The crowd booed as officials raced to the ring to prevent more damage.
In an amazing match to open the tag-team tournament, Jerry Lynn and Bryan Danielson d. the Freak Show (w/ Kevin Sullivan and Jazz) when Danielson connected on a yakuza kick to get the pin on George “the Animal” Steele. Danielson and Lynn threw all sorts of offense against the Freak Show, but the perseverance of Steele and Maurice Tillet kept the match going for quite a while. Sullivan appeared to be very unhappy at the results.
In a nontitle match, Mr. Saito (w/ Kevin Sullivan) d. BCW world heavyweight champion Lou Thesz using his SAITO SUPLEX. Thesz was attacked on his way to the ring by Don Muraco while Mr. Saito and Sullivan kept the referee preoccupied. By the time Thesz was able to fend off Muraco and get to the ring, he did not have enough left to defeat Mr. Saito. Sullivan looked pleased with the results and nodded to Muraco, who was watching the match from the back of the auditorium. Sullivan then grabbed a mic and stood over Thesz: “Not much of a heavyweight champion, are you, Thesz?”
In a tag team tournament qualifying match, the Tolos brothers (w/ Jimmy Hart) d. Danny Hodge and Dick Hutton when John Tolos pinned Hutton after a FLYING KNEE DROP. Chris Tolos had tagged in his brother and then kept Danny Hodge’s attention occupied so he couldn’t make a pin save on Hutton. Afterward, John Tolos yelled at Hodge, “I can’t believe you were ever a BCW world heavyweight champion, because you aren’t very bright in the ring, Hodge!”
Erick Stevens came to ringside and called for Kevin Sullivan. When Sullivan came back out with his Dungeon of Doom, Stevens demanded that Roderick Strong be allowed to leave the group. Sullivan responded by saying he had a surprise – the next contestant to join BCW had arrived. Stevens said if he had to fight the person to free Strong, he would do it. Then down to ringside came the 7-foot Kurrgan!
Kurrgan (w/ Kevin Sullivan) d. Erick Stevens to join BCW – and, presumably, the Dungeon of Doom. Stevens put up a great fight and had Kurrgan in trouble early, but with some unseen (by the referee) help from Sullivan, Kurrgan turned the tide and finished off Stevens with a sidewalk slam, then got the pin with his feet on Stevens before leaving ringside with Sullivan.
U.S. heavyweight champion Dan Severn came to ringside, grabbed a mic and said, “Sheik, if you want to get this title back, you’ll have to earn it – that means regular match, regular rules!” Down to ringside came the Sheik and Abdullah Farouk – and Sabu. Farouk said, “The Sheik knows only one way to fight – no restrictions. Are you afraid, Mr. Severn?” Danny Hodge and Dick Hutton came to ringside to stand with Severn, who said, “No, but I’m a person who will do things the right way. My terms, or nothing!” Farouk eventually shook his head “yes,” and a referee came to ringside to start the match.
The Sheik (w/ Sabu, Abdullah Farouk) d. Dan Severn (w/ Dick Hutton, Danny Hodge) to win the U.S. heavyweight championship when Severn submitted to the CAMEL CLUTCH due to passing out. Severn had been in the hold for a while and had been stabbed multiple times in the forehead with a sharp object wielded by the Sheik, who got it from Sabu while the referee was distracted by Farouk. Severn put up a good fight, but he could not overcome the chicanery of the Sheik, who had been checked by the referee beforehand for any sharp items. Hodge and Hutton tried to point out that Severn was bleeding, but the referee was busy determining if Severn was still conscious while in the hold. Afterward, Hutton and Hodge helped a bloodied Severn to the back, while the Sheik celebrated capturing the U.S. belt for a second time and the return of Sabu to "the family."

YEAR 10, CARD NO. 5
Eddie Graham Sports Stadium
Frank Gotch, in his return from injury, d. Johnny Rodz when he used a guillotine choke to get the victory. Gotch was rusty, and he was being watched by Dungeon of Doom master Kevin Sullivan throughout the match. After Gotch won, he yelled, “Where’s Muldoon?” at Sullivan, who stared back at Gotch without saying anything. Gotch then went to the back alone.
Jimmy Hart came to ringside with the Tolos brothers and said they wanted a matchup before their semifinal match in the tag tournament on the next card, so they were going to face a team similar to Bryan Danielson and Jerry Lynn – and out came S+S, which caused the fans to make fun of Hart’s choice.
The Tolos brothers (w/ Jimmy Hart) d. S+S when Chris Tolos came off the top turnbuckle with a crossbody block and pinned George South. Unlike their previous matches, Chris Tolos actually wrestled most of the contest, although he tagged in after brother John had punched South while he was in the corner. Afterward, Hart bragged on the brothers, saying their next match would be just like this one, while the fans booed.
Kevin Sullivan came back to ringside with “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert, grabbed a mic and said, “I’ve got a good test of your abilities, Eddie – the Sandman! It’s a no-DQ match, so don’t fail me.” Gilbert looked less than happy as the Sandman headed to ringside with his Singapore cane.
Eddie Gilbert d. the Sandman in a no-DQ match by using a FIREBALL when both were outside the ring, then dragging the Sandman back in for the pin. Gilbert looked strong throughout the match, but still did not appear to be happy with Sullivan afterward, although Sullivan seemed pleased at Gilbert’s use of the FIREBALL.
In a quarterfinal match of the BCW tag-team tournament, Mr. Fuji and Mr. Saito (w/ Kevin Sullivan, Jazz) d. Bill Dundee and Virgil (w/ Ted DiBiase) when Virgil succumbed to Mr. Saito’s SCORPION LEGLOCK. Dundee and Virgil proved very resilient during the match, and it took a long time for Saito and Fuji to finish them off. Afterward, as Sullivan rubbed his hands at his team’s success, DiBiase picked up a mic and said, “Enjoy it for now, Sullivan, because my surprise tag team is coming, and no one will stand in their way!” DiBiase then laughed and left ringside as Sullivan glared at him.
Bill Apter’s “Hot Seat” featured the new U.S. heavyweight champion, the Sheik, and Abdullah Farouk. Farouk said that the Sheik showed just how dominant he could be in his match with Dan Severn, brushing aside Apter’s question about the Sheik cheating with a foreign object. Instead, Farouk added that the Sheik would do whatever was necessary to keep “his” U.S. title, and with Sabu by his side, he would be the U.S. champion “for a long, long time.” When Apter again brought up Severn being stabbed in the forehead, Farouk said, “Severn was too weak to carry the title belt anymore!”
Dick Hutton and Danny Hodge arrived at ringside, with Hutton grabbing a mic and telling the Sheik, “We saw what you did to our friend, Sheik, and it was cheating, plain and simple.” Sabu then stood up in a threatening way as Farouk said, “You call the Sheik, the greatest wrestler of all time, a cheater? That must be answered in the ring. Sabu and the Sheik will face the two of you, and you will pay for your lies!” Officials then separated the four men before a match could be made.
Once order was restored, Erick Stevens showed up at ringside, grabbed a mic and once again called out Kevin Sullivan over the “imprisonment” of Roderick Strong. Sullivan appeared at ringside and simply said, “You need to be taught a lesson about the perils of persistence, and I’ve got the disciples to do it.” The Freak Show headed to ringside, but before they could get to Stevens, Commissioner Chad came down to ringside, grabbed a mic and said: “Hold on a minute. Before we get into something we don’t want, why don’t we make this an official match – a tag match!” When Sullivan pointed out that Stevens did not have a partner, the Commissioner said, “I found one for him.” Down to ringside came Bruiser Brody!
Bruiser Brody and Erick Stevens d. the Freak Show (w/ Kevin Sullivan and Jazz) when Brody pinned George “the Animal” Steele following a one-hand body slam. Stevens held his own against the “French Angel” Maurice Tillet, but Tillet got the advantage on Brody for a while once Brody tagged in. Yet when Steele tagged in, his attention began to wander, and Brody took full advantage of it. Afterward, Sullivan looked ready to attack Brody, until the big man grabbed his chain and swung it around his head, making Sullivan retreat.
Butch Miller of the Sheepherders came out with an injured Luke Williams, who had not been cleared to compete in the tag-team tournament. Then they brought out their honorary Sheepherder – Mister X!
Next to ringside came the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase, who grabbed a mic and said, “I promised you people a surprise, and here it is. I’ve brought in the greatest tag team BCW has ever seen!” When the fans started chanting for the Road Warriors, DiBiase said, “Not those clowns – the ones who always beat them. Everyone has a price, and I paid a high price for this one, but it’s worth it. I give you – the Fabulous Kangaroos!” The crowd erupted as the four-time BCW tag champs headed to ringside in their return to the federation.
The Fabulous Kangaroos (w/ “Wild” Red Berry, Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase) d. Butch Miller and Mister X (w/ Luke Williams) in a tag-team tournament quarterfinal match when Mister X fell victim to the BOOMERANG. Roy Heffernan and Al Costello looked a little rusty at first and Miller controlled the offense, but once the tide turned and Mister X tagged in, that was all she wrote, as the Kangaroos finished off the match.
Lou Thesz came to ringside with the BCW world heavyweight championship belt over his shoulder. He took a mic and called out Don Muraco, his opponent at Bithlo Bash. Once Muraco arrived, Thesz said: “Muraco, you pulled a fast one on that last card, attacking me before I even got to the ring. Well, now I’ve got a surprise for you, someone who would be more than happy to take you on – right now!” Down to ringside came the returning Jimmy Snuka!
Jimmy Snuka d. Don Muraco when he hit a SUPERFLY LEAP onto Muraco. Snuka got off to a strong start, but Muraco captured the momentum and took control of the match. But when both men were outside the ring and Muraco started yelling at Thesz, who was sitting at ringside, Snuka took advantage by attacking Muraco from behind, throwing him back into the ring and hitting his finisher. Thesz stood up to clap afterward, only to be interrupted by the voice of Kevin Sullivan on a microphone.
“Thesz, that was a pretty good move, but my new friend Don Muraco has a surprise move of his own for you tonight,” Sullivan said. “You get to face the newest member of the Dungeon of Doom – the giant Kurrgan!”
BCW world heavyweight champion Lou Thesz (w/ Jimmy Snuka) d. Kurrgan (w/ Kevin Sullivan, Don Muraco) in a nontitle match when he used a THESZ PRESS to get the victory. Kurrgan gave Thesz a massive body slam to start the match, and it took some time for Thesz to recover, but eventually he did and got the victory. Afterward, it appeared that Muraco and Sullivan were going to enter the ring to attack Thesz, but Snuka also climbed into the ring, and the pair decided to abandon any extracurricular efforts.
