I've been a huge fan of the 80's rock band Big Country and their One Hit here in America is "In a Big Country", but they've had other great albums and the latest is 2013's The Journey with Mike Peters former lead singer of the Alarm and Derek Forbes former bass player of Simple Minds are new members of the band with Bruce Watson's son Jamie Watson joining the group. Big Country won't be the same with Stuart Adamson no longer with us and Tony Butler retired, but this new band has put out a great new cd that still is Big Country. In the end, Big Country a uk band still rocks all these years and I still have my 1983 tape of their first album called "The Crossing"...

As most can probably tell by my user name I'm a Motley Crue fan but my musical tastes stretch far and wide and thanks Crimson for this post. I always loved that song, In a Big Country, and I should probably check out more by the band. It's cool to see them still putting out music with new additions to the band. It's also cool to see Mike Peters of The Alarm involved, one of the all-time underrated bands in my book. On a side note I am also a huge fan of The Doors and I should make mention of the recent passing of Ray Manzarek. Such a great musician and easily one of the best keyboard players of all time. I had a chance to see The Doors a few years back, with Ian Astbury of The Cult on vocals replacing the legendary Jim Morrison, and it was a great show. Manzarek will be missed for sure but the great music will live on.

You can hear & see "Another Country" on YouTube from that album with other songs. I like the Doors & the Cult too...
