You can also add the LOW card for Flying Fred Curry, who was in and out in the early part of '79. Absolutely. I left out Curry, Tony Atlas and Greg Valentine as their existing cards would fit well. Biggest reason for reworking Iron Sheik is that, while he was using the loaded boot, he didn't use the camel clutch. He just took opponents to Suplex Village (precursor to Suplex City).

Very nice work, thanks for sharing with us! Can't wait to see Superstar in action! Superstar Billy Graham was actually in my 1977 set; if you go back to page 2 of this thread, the cards and handbook are there. The 1978 set is more of an expansion pack and not a complete 1978 roster. The 1978 handbook will give you a guide as to who is still active from '77. Enjoy! Yeah, I downloaded both and look forward to the schedule opening up so I can roll some matches! Superstar: "I'm the reflection of perfection, the number one selection." We'll see if Bruno, Putski, or Backlund make him eat his words

Happy New Year everyone…and welcome to 1979!!It’s January 1st as the International Year of the Child begins. The national championship of college football will be decided when #1 Penn State meets #2 Alabama in the Sugar Bowl later today. Sid Vicious, bass player for the Sex Pistols, is about to go to trial for the murder of girlfriend Nancy Spungen even though he’s still in detox at Rikers Island. Maybe he should have gone to the YMCA to get clean and have a good meal, as that organization is preparing to sue the Village People for libel. But who cares? We’re wrestling fans! The WWWF is doing well, but won’t be as “Wide” much longer. Bob Backlund is still turning away all challengers to his title, but he’ll face a bevy of new and returning competitors. “Flying” Fred Curry will debut soon, as will former Olympian “Bad News” Allen Coage and the “One Man Riot Squad” Bulldog Brower. During the year we’ll see a North American Champion debut, broken legs, another Valiant brother, a guy from San Francisco who sounds French Canadian, a Great Hossein Arab (or Great Hussein Arab – it’s up to you promoter!), a raw-boned Swede, a mysterious tournament and new title, Mister USA, a Hulk that’s incredible, Samoans that are wild, deceptive managerial practices, and much much more! WW(W)F 1979 Coming later this month!

Bad News with hair feels so strange. Excellent work as always to all involved.

I really struggled to get a decent head shot of Coage from that period, and that was the best I could do.
When I was finalizing 1978, I had a lot of the groundwork done for 1979, so it was a quick turnaround. For 1980, I'd say an optimistic estimate would be fall 2019.
Big thanks to Chad for being my IT support in getting these posted.

Great work as usual.
The Colombian Jaguar is precisely the type of bootleg that I live for.

The Colombian Jaguar is precisely the type of bootleg that I live for. Was on the verge of not doing a card for him at all. Couldn't find a lot of matches, he wasn't in for long and didn't exactly light the world on fire. Found some info on him on websites which were almost entirely in Spanish. Lot of work to put together a card for a guy who wound up jobbing to S.D. Jones.
