Yes, I am a greedy, greedy bastard. Sorry.

I have no clue though from what I've heard it may be trickier than expected as Japan is extremely restrictive on the wrestlers and what good is a DGUSA set without Japanese guys?

I thought once upon a time, Japan was very easy to work with, and Tom had a fair bit of flexibility with regard to who could be in the game. Then again, I know exactly zero about what goes on behind the scenes.

You noticed however that after Liger came out that there have been 0 Japanese wrestlers though. It's because a few years back Japan really cracked down on it after yes being very flexible before.

Well we still manage to get Saito post-Liger, so I suppose there is always a chance, especially if they travel to the states for a convention or appearance.

DGUSA set isn't gonna happen. I remember talking to Swarm (I believe) about this and right before we were gonna start on it word came down that it wasn't looking likely.
And at this point honestly, there's no Samuray del Sol and probably not many Japanese talents. All you'd have is Johnny Gargano and he really wouldn't be that much different (obviously better, but still) than his Chikara card.

I came to an agreement with DGUSA for FG to produce a set but so far nothing has gotten off the ground because of the roadblock involving the Japanese guys. This is kinda of why I suggested a future All-Star pack where a DGUSA JOHNNY GARGANO and a couple of others could go in the event a full blown out set doesn't materialize. Add another couple Shimmer women, a top guy from a couple of other feds and you have a nice little 6 pack. Just a loose idea.

I like the idea, but food for thought:
DG USA has a fair number of American performers with ties to existing products. Arik Cannon, Lince Dorado, Player Uno and Dos (Stupefied), and Ricochet leap out at me immediately (I'm looking at their current roster page). Throw in an upgraded Gargano, and you have a six-pack.
Or make it a 12-card set with Jon Davis, Harlem Bravado (maybe squeeze him to get his brother for the ninth slot), Rich Swann, Uhaa Nation, and Trent Baretta. If the Bravados aren't available as a team, swap them out for The Scene.
Don't get me wrong: I want guys like CIMA or BxB Hulk. But if getting them means waiting for six or eight or twelve kick-ass wrestlers... As I pointed out, I'm greedy.
'Course, given the names I just mentioned, that could be a pretty good all-around Indy release. But I'll just hush now.
