FUTURE OF HONOR 6 PACK BIOS - Courteous of Switch-Truth.
MATT TAVEN
ROH Debut: 2010
ROH Title(s) Held: ROH World TV Championship (3/2/13 - CURRENT)
ARM LOCK HEADLOCK DRIVER - Taven finishes his opponents with a deadly arm lock headlock driver.
Making his professional debut in 2008, Matt Taven had competed sporadically for Ring of Honor over the last few years but failed to garner a real foothold despite having a memorable TV rivalry with Mike Mondo.
Taven's first real chance at solidifying his spot in the locker room came at "Boiling Point 2012" when he took place in a Four Corner Survival in which the winner would be awarded an ROH contract.
That night the spoils went to QT Marshall but Taven would have another opportunity at the onset of 2013 when he, along with seven other athletes, entered into the Top Prospect Tournament. After defeating ACH in the first round and Silas Young in the semi-finals, Taven went head-to-head with Tadarius Thomas in a highly competitive match.
Ultimately the victor was not decided by the athleticism of the two men battling it out but rather by Taven's choice to ally himself with Truth Martini. The victory earned him a TV Title opportunity at the "11th Anniversary Event" and, once again, despite going toe-to-toe with Adam Cole, it was Martini's involvement that proved the deciding factor and earned Taven his first taste of ROH championship success. Taven's alliance to the HoT has already earned him a title, and only time will tell just how far Martini's guidance will take this young man.
BJ WHITMER
ROH Debut: “Revenge on the Prophecy” - 1/11/03
ROH Title(s) Held: ROH Tag Team Titles
Peruvian Necktie - guillotine choke
Adrenaline Spike - tombstone piledriver
WRIST CLUTCH EXPLODER - Wrist Clutch Exlpoder suplex bomb.
At “Rise & Prove” in February of 2012, BJ made his much-demanded return to the ROH to take on then TV Champion Jay Lethal in a Proving Ground match. Looking refreshed, renewed, and revitalized, Whitmer gave Lethal a tough fight and it took 14:40 of the 15 minute time limit for Jay to get the win. BJ has since renewed his rivalry with Jacobs as a result of assisting El Generico at “Unity” and fighting Kevin Steen at “Rising Above 2012”. Whitmer looks as good, if not better, than he ever has in the last 9 years and his future in Ring of Honor is brighter than ever.
BOBBY FISH
ROH Debut: 2004
ROH Title(s) Held: ROH World Tag Team Championship w/ Kyle O'Reilly (3/2/13 - Present)
Fish Out of Water - Suicide Dive
Sleeps with the Fishes - spinning wheel kick
Flying Fish Hook - Jumping Knee Strike
FISH HOOK - Heel Hook Submission
CHASING THE DRAGON - Fish's partner lifts the opponent up for a brainbuster as Fish delivers a shoot kick to the head of the opponent before Fish's partner delivers the brainbuster.
Bobby Fish, while relatively new to the ROH audiences, is a man with a great deal of history and experience on his resume. Making his pro debut in 2002, Fish wrestled in a handful of matches for ROH under the moniker of Jerk Jackson before competing under his real name for several matches over the course of 2007-2009. Fish disappeared from the ROH scene for several years, honing his craft elsewhere, before recently returning at “Killer Instinct” where he defeated QT Marshall.
Outside of ROH, with 6 years under his belt, Fish holds the honored distinction, along with Eddie Edwards, of being the longest active tenured gajin for Pro Wrestling NOAH and was one of only four Jr. Heavyweights asked to compete in NOAH's 2011 Heavyweight Global League Tournament. This year he & Edwards won the "Fighting Spirit" award for their participation in NOAH's Jr. Tag Global League Tournament.
Fish also has trained extensively in martial arts, earning his black belt in Tae Kwan Do at the age of just 14 and he also holds a 4-1 record, with 3 KO's, in Muay Thai competition.
In addition, Fish also has earned his BA in English while playing 4 years of Div. 1-AA college football. To say that Fish has accomplished a great deal in his life would be an understatement, and it looks like ROH is the next mountain that he aims to conquer.
ACH
ROH Debut: "Death Before Dishonor X" 9/15/12
Titles held: None
Tiger Mask - ACH runs into the corner where the opponent is standing and does a backflip off of the opponent.
ACH'S BIG BANG ATTACK - Small package driver
ACH is a name that is becoming increasingly familiar to the hardcore wrestling fanatics as he has slowly been building a name for himself since starting his career in 2006. He came onto the radar of ROH officials last year and made his debut live on iPPV in a hard-hitting near upset against Kyle O'Reilly. Since that debut he has competed in the 2013 Top Prospect Tournament where he fell to eventual winner Matt Taven, went toe-to-toe with Roderick Strong at "Honor Vs. EVIL", and recently signed a long-term contract with Ring of Honor. With all the talent in the world and the ability to match-up with any opponent, the sky is the limit for ACH. Together, ACH and TD Thomas form the tag team known as Adrenaline Rush.
TADARIUS "TD" THOMAS
ROH debut: 2012
Titled held: None
Sling Blade - spinning sitout sleeper slam.
FLURRY OF CAPOEIRA KICKS - Just like it sounds. TD is unleashing his kicks in his card art.
Born in Detroit, Tadarius Thomas comes from a background very similar to other men from the Motor City, but unlike many he found his way out of the poverty-stricken neighborhood where he was bullied most of his youth.
That bullying led Thomas first to amateur wrestling where he had to travel out of Detroit, since his high school did not have wrestling available, to the Highland Park suburb in order learn.
Wrestling led Thomas to to the world of Mixed Martial Arts and to the city of Montreal where he trained and eventually had his first fight at the age of only 17. Thomas, who like to say he is the only man in wrestling who can fight on his feet or upside down, is well versed in many martial arts including Brazilian jui jitsu, boxing, and submission grappling, but it is the African-Brazilian martial art called Capoeira that he claims as his favorite. It is a style that incorporates dancing, gymnastics, and a variety of kicks from any position and is the reason Tadarius says he is just as comfortable fighting up side down as he is standing on his feet.
Looking for further challenge, Thomas left MMA to pursue a career in boxing where he claimed two Eastern Michigan golden glove championship and was named Michigan's 2005 outstanding boxer of the year with a record of 36-5-1 and 20 consecutive knockouts . Boxing led to professional wrestling and to Truth Martini's House of Truth school, but following his training, Thomas says he left the HoT because of Martini's corrupt intentions. Now here in Ring of Honor, Thomas look to have the same successes in pro wrestling that his natural athletic gifts and hard work have brought him in the world of MMA & boxing.
QT MARSHALL w R.D. EVANS
ROH Debut - 2012
Titles held - None
Glamour Shot - jumping flatliner
GOD'S GIFT - it's like a sitout dominator, I can't really give a better description than that.
The self proclaimed "God's Gift to Professional Wrestling", QT Marshall exudes arrogance. Originally trained at Larry Sharpe's famous Monster Factory, Marshall has been tabbed by many wrestling experts, as a future star in professional wrestling. At just 27 years of age, QT already has 8 years of wrestling experience under his belt. A former IWA Puerto Rican Champion, QT had impressed ROH Officials enough to land himself a spot in the 4-corner survival match at ROH Boiling Point, where he secured a ROH Contract by beating out prospects Matt Taven, Antonio Thomas & Vinny Marseglia.
With all the tools to become one of the biggest stars in Ring of Honor, only time will tell just how successful "God's Gift" will become.
