This is a tournament my friend made up. It was a great way to create new feuds and friends. We called it..........
BATTLEBRAWL
Here's the rules:
1) 32 wrestlers are randomly assigned to 16 tag teams. Round 1 is 8 tag team matches.
2) The winners of these tag team matches then must fight against their tag partner in Round 2 in a singles match.
3) The 8 winners of these singles matches are then matched up into 4 new tag teams. Round 3 is are tag matches.
4) There are now four wrestlers left. Round 4 again pits the winning tag teams against there partners in singles competition.
5) The two remaining wrestlers now battle in the final match to crown the BATTLEBRAWL champion.

I like your idea. I was planning a big tourney this year and I think I will use yours.
Question have you done a BATTLEBRAWL and how did it turn out?

We did two of them when we played in high school (like 13 years ago), and they were always my favorite event. For instance, Massacre and Spike were the current tag champions at the time and actually got paired together in the first round. They then had to fight each other in the second which was cool. Also Lord Nexus and Kraken got paired up which was fun to deal with. Also, you could end up finding two guys that you never would have thought of that work really well together and bam, a new tag team is born.
BTW: Massif won the 2nd BattleBrawl. I can't remember who one the first one. Maybe Bishop Hell, but I can't be sure as the paperwork is long gone.

I had a similar style tournament in the past but with an added twist.
100 guys
Round 1 - 25 tag matches
Round 2 - 25 singles matches (redrawn)
Round 3 - Battle Royal
Round 4 - 8 man hardcore tournament
Alpha Force won this tournament a couple times. Its alot of fun as well.

Glad you guys are enjoying it. Hopefully we will be able to do it in our fed soon. We need a few more wrestlers first though. |
