He was awesome as the original Doink. The clown went downhill when they replaced him.

He was awesome as the original Doink. Fantastic in-ring squash debut. www.youtube.com/watch?v=XE0CAFySImQ#at=79The early Doink stuff was pretty good and Bourne nailed that character superbly. His ring style and repertoire of moves stood out a mile back in the '93 WWF.

I never met him, but when I was a little kid living in Seattle my aunt took me to Portland to see PNW where Matt Borne was a regular

Another loss from my World Class days:(. Matt had a great run in Texas. He came in as a heel teaming with Mad Dog Buzz Sawyer. Eventually turned face and became pretty popular, finished with a heel run after Kerry accidently hit Tough Tony and Percy convinced him it wasn't so accidental. (I hope I remembered correctly)Goodbye Matt, hope I bump into you on the other side

Friggin' great worker and I've always loved the original Doink. Here's my favorite Doink match, it's a KOTR Qualifier against Mr. Perfect. Excellent match, if you haven't seen it, check it out.

That was a nice pick. Matt had a series of TV matches with Curt around this time, every one of them was solid. The Evil Clown busted out some really good work in the Spring/Summer of '93. RIP Doink vs Marty Jannetty 6/21/93 2 out of 3 Falls

That 2/3 Falls match is one of the hidden gems of RAW in 93. I'm glad WWE put that on the 93/94 RAW set that came out a few years ago.
