Shayne looks like he'll be fun to play. Reading the backstory I'm thinking he's a cross between early 80's Dusty Rhodes, late 80's Hulk Hogan, and Stone Cold Steve Austin. Especially with the part about his defensive comebacks. Can't wait to see his stats and get 2129 rolling.

To my knowledge (limited and always terribly flawed!) no one has yet mentioned the wrestler that was the main influence on Shayne. I'll reveal at GCon this weekend perhaps during a Q & A for the podcast we're going to tape.

Well I think you have created the every man character and we are all seeing that wrestler we admired so much at one time in him. I will say that the art made me think of Tommy Dreamer.

I'm sure people will be surprised, it's not obvious and it's not directly tied to physical appearance but kinda.

With the backdrop, the jaw, and "coming back like a man possessed" he also has echoes of "American Bad Ass" era Undertaker.

Looks a lot like a popular William Regal pose to me, right down to the sneer and raised fist. Is it William Regal, Tom?
