Finally saw the match last night on television. I thought it served its purpose as a big match but I was seriously bothered by the lack of blood.
Now I understand that due to the fact that it's on broadcast TV and that Maryland's State Athletic Commission has traditionally been very strict over the years why they didn't go that route. I just wonder if it would have made more sense to have this match as a IPPV event and let the match go all out to eventually conclude to it's logical finish. It's hard for an old school guy like me to see so many face first plunges into the steel and not even a scratch on anyone.
I did like that Corino went over the edge trying to burn Steen with lighter fluid and even Jimmy Jacobs trying to stop him. That sold what was at stake.
I do wonder where things go from here. It appears that Cole will go heel possibly managed by Corino which could be interesting. What about the rest of S.C.U.M.? I'd imagine that Hardy and Compton would be done for now.
Thoughts?

Those ideas seem likely. Although Hardy could stick around with Corino. Also it is possible Jacobs starts going face and maybe even making up with Steen. Unless he starts wrestling more I do not see him just being solo. During most of the S.C.U.M. era he was almost like a manager/valet. I think the guy is great so I hope he stays on TV. If not RoH then one of the other two. I also can see Rhino going back to the H.O.T. Or getting involved in another story line where he is a gun for hire.

Cotino's hanging around and likely going to help Adam Cole in the title tournament at some point. Compton and Hardy are gone, Rave is gone, Titus might be signing with WWE, Jacobs is still under contract and appeared in one of ROH's recent YouTube videos and nobody knows what's up with Rhino right now.

I think a heel Cole would be the way to go and maybe have him upend Elgin in the finals with Corino's help. It would be an interesting swerve since most would expect Elgin to wear the gold after the upcoming tourney.
From what I've seen so far it looks like they want to turn Jacobs face. Interesting idea. Titus to WWE? Go figure. I think Rhino is still with them as a hired gun for someone else. I'm also interested in return of Prince Nana who is bringing in a tag-team.

Since they announced they would have a title tourney, this is the outcome I have been predicting. In the past when it looked like someone was destined to win the ROH belt, suddenly they are upended at the last minute and a surprise gets it. Look at Eddie Edwards winning the belt when it looked like Davey Richards was assured of getting it. I see Cole winning it now, with Elgin perhaps getting the belt at Final Battle in December.

That's becoming a bad habit of ROH to the point where you expect the guy who's destined to win to lose nowadays. It's not really shocking when they book that way every time (and crushed some guys momentum by doing so...like Tyler Black)
