Earlier this year the 2013 version of GalactiCAN was scheduled, but due me having to work EVERY SINGLE day for a little under three months (or over I honestly lost track), I was forced to cancel the event.
Well let me visit that word CANCEL. In all actuality all I have done is POSTPONE this year's GalactiCAN. That's right fellow promoters. Canada's biggest Filsinger Games convention is coming back, and we are coming back strong.
GalactiCAN will once again take place over three days. Days 1 and 2 will be hosted by my work, the Best Western Royal Brock in beautiful Guelph Ontario. Entrance to the event will once again be free, with the request from the Hotel that attendees order dinner through the hotel lounge (The average meal costs about $15 CDN).
On Wednesday night, July 31st I will get the rates for rooms from my supervisor. I am hoping he will authorize a rate of no more than $89.00 CDN per night. (Hopefully he will match last years rate, which I believe was $69.00 CDN)
The actually dates are still up in the air, and they will be announced tomorrow night when I get to work and double check the availability on all the weekends in October. (I believe the weekend of October 11th-13th had availability)
I will end this now before I start rambling more. But basically, in the next couple of days GalactiCAN 2013 will have set rates and dates.
Looking forward to hopefully seeing more of my fellow promoters at this years event.
