I'm actually surprised to see Tommy Gilbert in a poll like this. He may not be an HUGE name now but his career wasn't exactly that of a slouch.

I'll come out and say that I'm completely lost on all the love for Milliman. Completely. I'm sure he's a nice guy and good for whoever signed him...but my goodness, we already have Mister X. Milliman wasn't even an SD Jones-level jobber, the guy who got in some offense and could get you believing he had a chance to win. If anybody screams "PDF download," it's him.
I'm not saying PN News is up there with Thesz and Andre as far as signings go, and he was pretty brutal to watch in real life. But on paper he's a fun, goofy character who still has more to work with than the Milkman. Gilbert has the family connections and even though I'm really only familiar with him as a referee and as "Freddy" in the USWA, he still had a decent career as a wrestler.

I think people should be allowed to change votes up to the deadline. Why not? You're not allowed to change your vote in an election, are you? Or how about when any other game conducts a poll asking what fans want from a roster? They don't allow people to change votes. |

I think the purpose of a poll like this is for people to vote for whichever wrestler they want the most. What could happen, and appears to have happened a time or two here, is that people see that their 2nd choice has a better shot of making it than their first choice so they switch their vote at the last second. I voted for Milliman so I am getting what I wanted in a sense (at least as of the time of writing this) but I still just don't think it's the right way to run a poll for this game.
As for why the love for Milliman? I don't want him because I think he is going to challenge for my world title. I want more variety in the game. I want more low, low level guys. As it stands in my fed right now, it is extremely rare for guys like Koko B. Ware or even Gorgeous George to get a win. I have also never really liked Mr. X. This game has never been about creating characters so why create a card for a made-up enhancement talent when there are hundreds that could be signed by putting the work into it. Would PDF be a better form for Milliman? Maybe, but it has been a really, really long time since we actually got a PDF release. I am not going to vote based on a chance that we may or may not see more PDF releases sometime down the line.
