My first thought about a Legends encyclopedia for the game was: will it actually say things like "former x-time NWA World champion, or WWF tag team champion," etc.? The game handbooks won't ever use other promotion names like those ones.

Wow! You guys should be proud This is great! The Encyclopedia Galactica is great . Better than I expected . Thanks again for your kind words! A few updates today, including some new items in the glossary as well as a contact form. Feel free to use the form on the site or this thread to suggest any additions or corrections. If anyone wants to provide bios for their GWFZ characters specifically, let me know. |

Something that was brought up with regards to the EG, is that the card stats view was lost in the new transition. This was an honest miss as the EG became more tightly integrated with the gallery display, which it was not originally intended to be. I will be working over time to integrate the card stat view to the EG bio view and for now the gallery thumbnails resolve to the old view. You can still see the new bio pages be navigating threough the Wiki link. Sorry about the confusion. As a side note, a contact form was added to the EG as well as this thread being created to allow for feedback, contributions, suggestions, etc. That being said, a few other items that were brought up elsewhere... - Something to keep in mind, this site was not created by FG and was created independently (over the last decade) by a life-long fan who was not commissioned to do so. This was instead created as a thank you to other fellow fans who love the game as much as I do. The site was then presented to FG, asking for permission to publish the content and let fans know of its existence. A decision was made to house the site under the FG umbrella of sites as opposed to externally. I completely understand that as this is FG proprietary content, and I also understand that FG is a business. So while it might be "sad" that the nice color versions of cards that you normally have to pay for to receive do not automatically show up for free, that is again a business decision by a business that ultimately is trying to make money. - The new site IS "open-ended" and, while it might not be "user-editable", it is certainly user-created. A great deal of the content and the people/places/things contained within the EG were created by the FG community. This will continue to be the case as well as channels (mentioned above) have been created to suggest additions, new content, etc. Changes on a typical wiki (at least one with any level of credibility for the accuracy of the information contained therein) moderate content before (and if not before, certainly after the fact) posting new content live. The nice thing about a web based format is that changes can (and will) occur daily without a need to wait for a new printing, etc. I also went with the name Encyclopedia Galaxia... not Wikia Galaxia  - If anyone finds "incorrect and broken links", please again use the channels provided to let me know. I run a link checker on the site anytime I do any new content and found 0 broken links prior to writing this post. I also realize that the vast amount of information contained on the site was collected and keyed in by one person, and that person is certainly fallible and would appreciate help when something pops up. - While FG may have enacted some restrictions on the site itself as mentioned above, I designed the site and made the decision to include the "non-official" content. The FG universe is a vast universe of characters and content and who is to say where the hard line is drawn with any of it. If something was released by FG and sold on its website and catalogs (i.e., aCe, CPC, POW, EC, GWFZ) or via it's official publications (Promoter, COTGOnline), I included it. Many promoters use these sets and characters and histories as part of their "official" universes (and contributed to them), as do I, so they have been included in what was intended to be and will continue to be a comprehensive FG universe encyclopedia. Please let me know either here or via the contact form on the site itself if you have any additional questions, comments or feedback. Some updates today... mostly updates from new 2129 mini pack as well as some more GWFZ Infinity additions. Pretty much look for something at least minor each day, if not something pretty big from time to time Also... development of the LOW version is underway. Check back for updates periodically. |

This is a phenomenal piece of work BMack. The community (and FG as a company) are both very fortunate to have access to you and your considerable talents. Without question, this is the most comprehensive CotG Brand product release that I've seen in a great many years!

Without question, this is the most comprehensive CotG Brand product release that I've seen in a great many years! Thank you! I really appreciate the kind words! There has been a ton of good material produced on the COTG universe by Tom and the community and it was time to bring all of it together in what is hopefully an easy to use and navigate collection. (working on search for some point as well). Working through the LOW version and cleaning up some things on the COTG side, so it might be a little while before any new, unique sections pop up, but they will be coming. As always, if anyone has corrections, suggestions, etc., let me know. |
