It's made by Plaay Games.
If you have played it, what are your thoughts?

Is it a roll play or video game?

Thanks for ponying this one out. Love collecting wrestling games so I have this an order. Looking forward to checking it out. It's a card & dice game but, looking at the website, much different than FG products. Seems the main gameplay is via flipping cards over from a shuffled deck. www.plaay.comThey have a page of 'sample gameplay.'

I have a few games from Plaay Games, but was not sure about this wrestling one........ I figure if the Wrestling game is like any of the others i have it should be great. Keith has a different take on his games and i find them to be a lot of fun to play.
My problem with the wrestling game has been the amount of money and time i have in LOW and i am not sure i want to start a second outlay of cash and time if i get hooked by Face to the Mat.
I have the PLAAY.com Baseball, Racing and Bowling games and they all are so much fun to play.......... i also ordered the Hockey game but have not found the time to try it out yet.
Toasterboy, if you could let me know your thoughts on the game after you get it i would appreciate it.

Thanks for the info. The company by chance didn't use to be called Avon Hill I think. I used to love playing Paydirt Football.

Sorry Avalon Hill not Avon Hill. I may have answered my own question when looking up the company. I don't think it is.

I bought Hockey Blast from that company but haven't tried their wrestling game for the same reason as MJ.

Game just arrived today. Gonna look it over, maybe play a bit. Got Legends Madness and COTG Mini yesterday, but I'll probably play a bit of this since it's new.

So let me say this about FTTM, the game wins huge points on presentation alone. The package that arrived yesterday was so classy that it almost won me over without even playing it. The whole thing arrived in a padded mailer and then on the inside, everything was sealed in a plastic bag with a cardboard closure at the top. I bought the $36 starter set. On the inside was a box you assemble yourself to hold everything int (super nice) and all the cards, dice and mats needed to play. Also included was a personalized card of me. Kind cool.
Included was a personal letter from, I'm assuming, the creator, thanking me for buying the game and stating he'd included some 'bonus' charts in there that he was sending for me to 'play test' and welcomed my feedback.
I played a few matches last night and it'll take a little bit more fooling around with to form a full opinion. My quick impression is that it is fun, and fast. My only criticism so far is that there's a huge 'random' element where other wrestlers can get involved in the match. Seemed to happen each match and while I like unpredictability, it was a little too much for my tastes. Don't need interference each match.
All in all, a good value for the money, not sure I'll buy more sets yet, but I will definitely play these a few more times.
