Man, that tourney system looks really cool. No joke that it's good to win. Is the ATP a single or double elimination tournament?

Single... that's were I got the range thing.. they don't have any sort of 'placement' games (like, say the Olympics) to come up with 3rd, 5th, etc.
I plan on doing a few different types of tourneys, for variety, but the scoring will stay pretty constant.

How do DQs come into play? Does it affect the rating system at all?

I just posted the 1st tournament results over in the forum, as well as the points for that tourney..so you could get a sense of how it works DQs factor in slightly... in addition to the points for placement, I'l also giving 2 points for each clean win, and 1 for each DQ win... I figure that way I could have the occasion 'grudge match' card if I was so inclined, and not have it be completely pointless, and I wanted to give a little extra for longer tournament formats. |
