As I mentioned in the Saturyne thread on the Chikara Board I write for Ring Sirens I will use this thread to keep everyone up to date on when our latest issue is up as well as any other articles that may or may not be of interest to all you on here. For those of you who are interested in catching up with the monthly magazine. Every issue is available online at the following url: Ring Sirens Back IssuesEvery month I write a column titled "My Thoughts On:" For the second issue I interviewed Courtney Rush & Xandra Bale For the third issue I interviewed Leah Von Dutch, who for those of you who don't know won an essay writing contest through Squared Circle Wrestling. She was selected as the winner by Edge who we all know got his start the same way.

Meeting April HunterThis was literally the very first thing I wrote for the website. It is me telling the story of how I met April Hunter and the travel problems I had to get to the venue.

Yeah, I like this. Love how you can read it online, or buy a print version. Some of us still like the print.

A very good read, however I feel that you skimmed (unintentionally I would imagine) over the late seventies/early eighties era of women's wrestling. The likes of Sensational Sherri, Velvet McIntyre, Glamor Girls and Jumping Bomb Angels were every it as good in the ring as the "golden" days of Trish and Lita etc. A point of fact that Judy Martin and Leilani Kai (the Glamor Girls) were highly revered by even the male wrestlers of the era due to their consistent workrate. Martin was the FIRST American wrestler to use the powerbomb as a finisher, but never gets that credit, and the matches between the Glamor Girls and JBA were nothing short of spectacular. And for what it was worth, the AWA were also known for going out on a limb and putting women on their show as a regular feature, and while the storylines were generally lackluster, they did have some talent, both Sherri Martel and Madusa got their start their, and even Wendi Richter held their world title after her WWF split.

That wasn't intentional, I wrote on what I had watched growing up and becoming a teen. (which was the late 80's onward) On a side note, thanks for checking out the site.

I thought Lou Thesz used a powerbomb. Did Martin really use it before him?
