Quick play options?

Hi, to be honest I didn't really know what or how to name this thread but I know what I'm trying to get at so hopefully I'll be able to explain it in simple enough terms and someone might be able to say how realistic a possibility it is to eventually have something like it on Online.
After having restarted my LWF I decided that I wanted to start playing GWF again. I kept thinking that I do enjoy this game but something is taking something away from that enjoyment. I know most people enjoy planning their feds and it's probably one of the greatest aspects of running a fed - you get to be the boss by booking and planning. However for someone like me and I'm sure there are others the main aspect of COTG is the wrestling itself. I found myself trying to find ways of booking, trying to work out how it might play out so that I was always 2-3 steps ahead and who might fued with who, juggling who should fight for the title and keeping fueds going that it was honestly taking longer to book matches than it was to play the cards out. To be honest this ruins it for me, on top of this whilst the game card is playing I'm spending a lot of the time entering the results into the stat tracker. I was thinking, is it unrealistic to think that with the GWF official handbooks that a kind of career (for want of a better word) mode could be made available, where a whole game year would be computer generated based on handbook storylines and fed rankings?
Of course if it were possible it should also be made possible for the promoter to intervene and book his own cards or amend certain matches etc. For people like me who enjoy playing the game and want to keep planning to an absolute minimum to spend the little time we have playing it would be a God send.
The game used to be much more fun for me when it was less complicated, everything used to happen without thinking about it and 90% of my time went into playing the game.

It would take an immense amount of time to code something like this into online. Building in the AI alone to be configurable for each game year based on official storylines would take months. It's not a bad idea just one that would be difficult to implement.

I'm sorry because I'm not clued up on computers at all. Even if something like a 'career' mode couldn't be incorporated then even a simple random match generator where you could put all the wrestlers you wanted in a show in 1 hat vrs possible opponents in the other that way you could avoid allies fighting each other whilst at the same time setting up a quick card.
I just think less dedicated people like myself with limited time would stick to a long term fed if half the cards were done this way, then natural storylines would probably emerge.

Random matches? That might be doable. I'll add it in with something else I was thinking about as it might fit nicely in there.

I'll add it in with an idea I will propose to Kris. It's his call what get's worked on and when, but we'll see. With aCe: Dark Tides coming up and the next big project it will probably be awhile before this could be worked on if it's something Kris and company think is worth development time as compared with the other things they would like done.

I was just wondering if anything has been decided about a quick random match generator?

To be honest my next purchase of Online could depend on your answer and I would appreciate a definative answer if possible.

For people like myself who have very limited time to play the game a whole decision of wheather or not to continue my subscription hinges on how much I can play. I appreciate that Online do a marvelous job but in my experience it's not geared to saving time. Granted it's not rocket science but it requires time and application just to get a card started. With my suggested idea it would make it easier to get cards set up and when there was more time it could be done the way it's done now.

I wish I had the time to consistently make full use of the Online features but the reality is I can't and there is no point purchasing a subscription if the product isn't going to be used consistently.

I hope my idea will be implemented and that some of the future ideas will be geared towards making the game more enjoyable and time efficient.

I am working on something right now that is intended to save time for handling cards. It does not have a random match generator, however it does lay the groundwork for something like this becoming a reality. Personally I think it works great compared to the current method. Hopefully it will be done before thanksgiving. No promises, but I am making good progress on it.

Thanks for your reply squire. I understand you guys are busy. As I've stated before I think the guys at Online are doing a great job and I know you can't cater just for one person but making things quicker is definately a step in the right direction.
I'm sure that many signed up because Online enabled them play the game again. To continue in this direction by continuously making it easier to setup and play to me sounds like a logical winner.
I'm pretty sure I'll be continuing my subscription now, I just hope more focus is given to this area in future projects and that it becomes a regular thing.
