Did Verne Gagne's AWA have a title that was the equivalent of the WWE's Intercontinental Championship or NWA's United States Championship? Thanks!!!

Did Verne Gagne's AWA have a title that was the equivalent of the WWE's Intercontinental Championship or NWA's United States Championship? Thanks!!! I know they had the American Championship--or was it the America's Championship? I don't think it was around for very long, though, and was probably part of Sgt. Slaughter's Real American gimmick. |
