I saw Transformers Age of Extinction today. I liked it better than the other 2 sequels but nowhere near as much as the first Transformers movie. The Dinobots were really cool. C+

I just got back from watching Dawn of the Planet of the Apes at the theater across the street. . I really liked Rise of the Planet of the Apes from 3 years ago and this sequel is also amazing and I can't wait to see the next movie in this great franchise. Andy Serkis is even better as Caesar than he was as Gollum IMO.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and the most recent X-Men have definitely been the two best movies of the Summer so far.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes was a very excellent movie, it was a great sequel and by far the best Apes film of the modern run...

Tonight I saw Guardians of the Galaxy.
Overall, I really liked it a lot. A-
There is a bonus scene during the credits, but I won't tell you which character appears so you can see it for yourself without me spoiling it.

If I remember correctly, toward or at the very end of the credits. He shows up in a bonus scene with The Collector. |

Saw Guardians today. Loved it. Top to bottom, my favorite film of the summer behind Winter Soldier.

After missing a lot of the summer movies due to my work schedule (six day weeks) I got to see Guardians.
I really enjoyed it, except for the first few minutes of the film and the end credits.
While I don't think it was the best Marvel movie to date, it is definitely top 3 (behind Avengers and Winter Soldier)

So far this year I have seen: Amazing Spider-Man 2, Captain American: The Winter Solider, X-Men Days of Future Past, 22 Jump Street, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, A Million Ways to Die in the West & Guardians of the Galaxy.
I have absolutely enjoyed each and every movie in their own way, but for me the best movie of the summer so far has been a toss up between Apes & Guardians. Both were visually amazing and had great stories. Mind you Guardians did lack a little behind Apes in terms of storytelling, but for a Marvel movie Guardians has some of the best storytelling to date.
The next movie I am really interested in seeing is the new Turtles movie. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint to much.
If I was to rate the movies I have seen this year from best to worst it go like this:
1a: Guardians of the Galaxy
1b: Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
2: X-Men: Days of Future Past
3: 22 Jump Street
4: Amazing Spider-Man 2
5: Captain America: The Winter Soldier
6: A Million Ways to Die in the West
Also while not a huge fan of the character appearing in the post credit scene in Guardians I am interested in seeing if Marvel/Disney does anything with him
