Today WWE 24/7 switched over to their February programming and LOW's Don Muraco is February's featured WWE Hall of Famer.
On WWE 24/7 today I watched a good (but too short) documenatry on Muraco and some of the other Muraco footage WWE 24/7 is currently showing is a match against Bob Backlund at MSG from February of 1982, a steel cage match against Hulk Hogan from 1985, and an episode of Fuji Vice. There's also more Muraco matches that will get added later on in February.
WWE 24/7 is also showing the first ever Clash of the Champions because it's the 20th anniversary of that event which inlcuded LOW wrestlers the Road Warriors and Ivan Koloff.

Speaking of LOW's Don Muraco, do you (or perhaps anyone else on this board) know who the masked man was who interferred in Muraco's match in 1980 against Manny Fernandez by performing a death jump on Fernandez that allowed Muraco to win the Florida's territory championship?

The masked man I believe is "The Big Cat" Ernie Ladd ....
Some places identify the person as Volkoff, but if you watch the end Volkoff is clearly not the masked man...

To take it a step further.........If Muraco had been in his prime during the 90's..........He would have been such a huge star....
He had personality and talent.....
To this day......his hour long match with Backlund is still the greatest match i've ever seen.....
not to mention the underated Muraco-Rocky Johnson feud from the same era...
the man is truly a legend....

I always thought Muraco was a jobber of sorts. But I only saw him at Wrestlemanias 3 & 4 and Summerslam 1988.

I have 24/7 and they did not offer a Muraco-Backlund match. Which one is it?
I know there are some 60-minute draws available and also Texas Death Match. I would love to see one of these as this is from the period when I first started watching.

I always thought Muraco was a jobber of sorts. But I only saw him at Wrestlemanias 3 & 4 and Summerslam 1988. He was used poorly by that point, especially since he was used as a face. However, he could still cut a good promo and put on a good match when needed. Muraco in his prime was something else and always considered him the top heel of the territory until he dropped the IC belt in early 1984.
