good point Mark! Never really thought of the sport enhancing drugs, but yeah, definitely could see PainMaster using something to extend his career!

I can't see why age is such a sticking point with Painmaster. Even comparing him to athletes in our modern time, it's not unreasonable to think he'd still be able to maintain for another ten years of more. Look at the performance enhancing drugs and sports nutrition in general that are, or are alleged to be, enabling today's athletes to perform at a very high level well into their 40s. Is it such a stretch to think that a guy with a criminal mind like Painmaster would be above taking a "shortcut" to extending his athletic career? Nope...and its a good point. Also, who knows the training/medical techs being used to maintain health and fitness. However, I'll also say that in 'fighting and collision' sports, most careers don't last as long as your saying. The average career in football is 3-4 years. Only QBs and Kickers, who don't take as much punishment and/or don't need their whole body to be decent, last long. Also today's fighting sports generally give you months in between fights. I've seen some GWF feds where guys fight 3-4 times a week in a sport that's supposed to be totally real. Either way, I don't mean for this to be a huge sticking point for everbody, I (my opinion) just don't get into these 20-30 year careers in what is supposed to be an extremely violent sport.

I don't want to get sidetracked, but the reason a lot of football careers only last a few seasons has nothing to do with physical decline. More often it is salary and roster issues and it's cheaper to pay a marginal rookie than a marginal veteren player.
To me, it's fantasy and I'm happy when good characters stick around. Imagine if DC comics were worried about real time. Batman would've retired and been done sometime in the 1940s!
Anyway, this is one of the reasons I'm glad Filsinger Games quit making one real year equal two game years. Guys were aging too quickly for the people who are sticklers for time issues.
Back on target, I can't wait to see how this all plays out with the Trial and the House Of Pain being allowed to continue to compete. And I hope any future updates and editions will continue to be made availible for download for all of us who don't play online!!!!!

Somebody tell that to Ric Flair! LOL ;D Yeah, in today's Pro Wrestling (not actually real combat), you can go on and on and on if you made a big name for yourself when you were young. I don't think he's put on a tough match in 10 years though.

A quick question, are the Tribesmen truly "out"? There seemed to be part of the planet left in their hold, and at least Paganax was alive at the end of the conflict. It would seem to be a bit of a miscarriage if the Tribesmen came to the aide of the Pantheon, only to be ignored after the victory. Hey, maybe I just stumbled onto a future storyline, who knows?
On the Flair point, his HitC with HHH 2 years ago (?) was extremely violent, and a high quality match, IMO.
