I really liked EVOLVE 37 and too bad Gran Akuma could not take advantage of the Brass Ring opportunity, but overall another solid event...

Thanks to Crimson Cross, Pariah, and everyone else who reads. Note: As mentioned at the beginning of this thread, I have reached the point where I am dropping my original booking format. It has become difficult to mirror EVOLVE’s real world booking. Which is okay because now I have enough of my own idea’s that I can bring off the back burner. I will be sticking with EVOLVE’s actual schedule and general show structure but all of the matchmaking/storylines will be mine. With the new set of cards coming out I will have a lot more toys to play with!38 Ricochet def. Drew GulakIn a classic match up of technical mat skill versus aerial athleticism, Gulak punished Ricochet early. The high flyer looked on his way to defeat but fought back, surviving a missed 630 Splash, going on to victory with Chocolate Rain. Rich Swann def. Lancelot BravadoSwann was manhandled for most of the match by the bigger Bravado. Rich had to get rough at ringside to take the advantage and he finished Lancelot with a Chicken Fried Driver. Lenny Leonard: “I wasn't sure before but I recognize someone in the front row. That’s Larry Dallas! We haven’t seen him since he was released a year ago. He must've bought a ticket to get in here tonight.”Johnny Gargano def. Chuck TaylorFormer Ronin teammates collided. It was an evenly fought match. The fans were undecided on who to support. Chuck’s tactics outside of the ring swung favor in the direction of the usually disliked Gargano. However, the fans completely turned on Johnny when he pulled the ref in the way of Chuck as he dove from the top rope. With the ref down, Taylor went without a pin count after an Awful Waffle. Johnny surged back and he had Chuck tied up in Gargano Escape just as the ref recovered. Taylor tapped out and the fans were irate. Larry Dallas tried getting Gargano's attention as he left the ring area. “Johnny! Johnny let’s do business!” Gargano either didn’t notice or just chose to ignore him. Lenny Leonard: “What’s that scumbag, Larry Dallas, doing?”Gabe's Book It Cam: Gabe: “All right. We’re here with the Premiere Athlete Brand. You guys have a title match against The Colony tonight for the Open The United Gate Championship. What are your feelings going in?”Anthony Nese: “Look at us and look at them. That says it all right there. Caleb and I are in the best shape of our lives and Su’s got the game plan. How can we miss?”Caleb Konley: “Doubt us. I dare you.”Uhaa Nation def. Harlem BravadoHarlem stood in there with the Open The Freedom Gate Champion but his offense was mostly ineffective. Uhaa had to use the Ultra Combination three times before he was able to pin Bravado. AR Fox def. Biff BusickFox had his hands full against Busick who had several near falls against the EVOLVE Champion in this non-title match. Both men threw everything they had at each other. Fox scored the fall with a Krunch. The fans loved it. Larry Dallas was clapping and put a hand on Busick’s shoulder to try and talk to him. “Biff! Biff!”Busick turned on him and snarled with a glare that likely had Larry looking for a change of underwear. Lenny Leonard: “Larry Dallas could lose an arm that way. Wouldn’t that be a shame. There would be a lot of thankful ladies if he had.” OPEN THE UNITED GATE CHAMPIONSHIPThe Premiere Athlete Brand def. The Colony(c)Fire Ant was just that - on fire. He ran circles around Konley. Nese and Green Ant carried most of the match. The fans were treated to some spectacular spots which included Nese catching Green Ant during a tope suicida and giving him a German suplex against the ring apron. The PAB used smart teamwork to isolate and wear down Green Ant. Fire Ant kept having to make saves but wasn’t able to prevent Konley from pinning his partner after a Home Wrecker. The Premiere Athlete Brand made good on their word and became the new tag team champions. EVOLVE RANKINGSChampion - AR Fox - Ricochet
- Johnny Gargano
- Uhaa Nation
- Rich Swann
- Biff Busick
- Chuck Taylor
- Drew Gulak
- Harlem Bravado
- Lancelot Bravado
- Caleb Konley

Great to see your latest action and it's cool seeing PAB win the gold, plus I really like the victories by Ricochet and Johnny Gargano...

Congrats to Nese and Konley on their big title win! Look forward to watching the situation involving Larry Dallas develop... Could there be a new 'Scene' coming to a theater near us? Great stuff... Lots of fun! I have no doubt that it will only get better as you start working your own ideas into the menu.

Crimson Cross - I also like that the PAB got the tag straps! Pariah - Larry Dallas is back! Can the Scene be far behind? (though he seems to be having trouble recruiting...) Thanks to everyone reading! 39 Lenny Leonard opened the show by announcing that there would be a title unification match at EVOLVE 40 tomorrow night. EVOLVE Champion AR Fox would face his friend and partner Uhaa Nation, the DGUSA Open The Freedom Gate Champion. The crowd reacted favorably to this announcement. Chuck Taylor def. Biff BusickTaylor looked sharp in the opening contest, virtually squashing Busick with non-stop offense. Biff was counted out of the ring after being flattened in the front row by a somersault suicide dive. Anthony Nese w/Su Yung def. Drew GulakGulak held Nese at bay with his technical skill but the Premiere Athlete overcame Drew’s submission game. Nese used his arsenal of power moves to set up a 450 Splash for the pin. The Bravado Brothers came out after Nese left, looking to corner Gulak. Drew prepared for the lopsided fight but Chuck Taylor ran to the ring and stood by his side. The reunited Gentleman’s Club then challenged the Bravados to a fair fight. Lancelot & Harlem Bravado def. Chuck Taylor & Drew GulakThe Bravados fluid teamwork was the difference in this match. Despite getting in some solid offense, Taylor, and in particular, Gulak fell victim to double teams and timely pin saves. The Gentleman’s Agreement did Gulak in as Harlem made the pin for his team. Gabe's Book It Cam: Gabe: “Drew, Chuck, tell me what happened out there.”Drew: “It was my fault. I let the team down.”Chuck: “No! We were just rusty. We’ll get ‘em next time.”Gabe: “So, does this mean The Gentleman’s Club is back together?”Drew: ”If Chuck wants to do this, I’m in…”Chuck: “I say we show EVOLVE that the Kentucky Gentleman and the Legal Eagle are back on the same page. Yi, yi, yi!!!”Caleb Konley w/Su Yung def. RicochetRicochet exploded out of the gate and trounced Konley. All the more reason to question why he decided to blast Caleb in the face with a steel chair and get disqualified. As Ricochet headed back to the curtain, Larry Dallas showed up at the railing, trying to talk to him. Ricochet looked at him like he had to be joking and continued through the curtain. Lenny Leonard: "There’s Larry Dallas again! I’m dying to know what he thinks he’s doing."Lenny Leonard: "I've just been passed a note. Chuck Taylor will receive the next Brass Ring Challenge tomorrow night at EVOLVE 40. No word, however, on who his opponent might be."Rich Swann def. Uhaa NationThe Open The Freedom Gate Champion shook hands with Swann before the match but that’s where the civility ended. Uhaa quickly overpowered Swann and gave him four kneeling tombstones in a row. At this point the fans were starting to get restless. Uhaa tossed Rich out of the ring then stomped him every time he tried to get back in. The crowd began to turn on Uhaa. He scanned the audience then joined Swann on the floor where he clobbered him with the championship belt. This made for the second perplexing disqualification of the night. Johnny Gargano def. AR FoxGargano looked like a man on a mission as he devastated the EVOLVE Champion in this non-title bout. Fox desperately tried for a flash pin a couple of times and even survived the Gargano Escape. Unfortunately, Johnny was a shark in blooded waters. He took Fox out to the floor and dropped him with a Hurts Donut on the concrete. The champion was counted out and the fans were stunned. Johnny grabbed the belt and started to leave with it but Uhaa Nation stepped through the curtain, blocking his exit. Uhaa ripped the EVOLVE title from his hands and made his way over to his friend lying semi-conscious on the ground. He looked at each belt then dropped the EVOLVE title on the prone Fox, lifting his own championship over his head as the fans booed.

What a very cool EVOLVE 39 with that killer end to show with Gargano winning the non-title and Uhaa taking the EVOLVE Belt from Johnny and leaving it on a laid out Fox. I also enjoyed the Gentleman's Club angle so far, that's pretty cool stuff and I'm looking forward to seeing more. EVOLVE 40 should be cool with another Brass Ring in play, keep it EVOLVING my friend...

Wow! Business is picking up... The viciousness of Nation and Gargano appears to be escalating... Will AR Fox get caught in the middle of a storm when he faces his friend? And is Gargano willing to stand idle on the sidelines while the encounter happens? Exciting stuff!

Crimson Cross , Pariah - More on the Fox/Nation front right here. And whoever wins at EVOLVE 40 will know that Johnny Gargano is waiting in the wings... BONUS BOOK IT CAM EVOLVE 39 post-show - Uhaa Nation Uhaa - “I got a lot of people in the back tonight asking ‘Uhaa, what’s gotten into you?’ What’s gotten into me? I tell you what’s gotten into me. You've got a booker (pauses staring into the camera) who for some reason thinks that I should be in a title unification match against my good friend AR Fox. Maybe he thinks this is some kind of joke!” (gets closer to the camera) Gabe: “Take it easy, Uhaa…”
Uhaa: “Don’t tell me to take it easy! You’re making me choose between my career, my goals, and my friend? Is this some kind of sick puppet show to you?!”
Gabe: “Hey, I’m just booking what I think the fans want to see."
Uhaa: “I don’t give a damn what the fans want to see! Well, you’re going to see what Uhaa Nation is capable of when he’s backed into a corner. And Fox, I've made my choice. I’m keeping this belt. No matter what it takes.”

40 Caleb Konley w/Su Yung def. Lancelot BravadoBravado roughed up Konley for most of the match. Caleb showed heart and that he wouldn't be bullied. With a strong burst of offense, Konley turned the tide and ended it with a Home Wrecker. Lenny Leonard announced that Drew Galloway would make his debut at EVOLVE 41. Harlem Bravado def. Anthony Nese w/Su YungNese and Bravado were out of sync and there were several awkward spots. Harlem used a flipping stunner to end this forgettable match. BRASS RING CHALLENGEChuck Taylor def. Drew GulakThere was some surprise as Taylor’s opponent was announced to be his partner in the recently reunited Gentleman’s Club. Taylor and Gulak found humor in it but got serious because a title opportunity went to the winner of the match. Gulak’s technical skill started to outshine Taylor’s efforts. Drew applied the Trailblazer on Chuck and as it looked like Taylor might tap out, he grabbed the ref by the leg and pulled him to the mat. As the ref tried to untangle himself from Taylor, the Bravado Brothers entered the ring and gave Gulak the Gentleman’s Agreement then cleared out. Back on his feet, Taylor saw the downed Gulak and gave him an Awful Waffle. As he went for the pin, Chuck noticed the Bravados at ringside and hesitated. As Gulak tried to recover, Chuck grabbed him and gave him an Awful Waffle again. This time he pinned his opponent. The Bravados jumped in the ring and Chuck looked to square off against the them. Then a big smile crossed Taylor’s face and the three hugged. The Bravados then raised Chuck’s hands, basking in the boos from the crowd. Gabe's Book It Cam: Gabe: “Chuck Taylor, you just betrayed Drew Gulak! Did you have this planned the whole time?”Chuck: “Damn right, we did! Gulak is a loser. Why would I ever want to join him again?”
Gabe: “You're disgusting!”Harlem: “Our grandmother would disagree. She thinks Chuck is a fine young man.”Chuck: “That’s right! We are the Bold Young Gentlemen. We’re going to take what we want in EVOLVE and what we want is gold around our waists.” Rich Swann def. Biff BusickSwann moved like lightning, finishing off Busick in less than a minute with a Leap From Swann Pond. Ricochet def. Johnny GarganoIt looked like Gargano was going to take this home quickly but Ricochet went ballistic with his high risk offense. He stuck a 630 Senton to claim the victory. What does this mean for Gargano’s bid at a championship opportunity? As Open The Freedom Gate Champion, Uhaa Nation, came to the ring for the main event, Larry Dallas appeared at the barricade and was actually successful in getting his attention. Dallas yapped at him and Uhaa seemed to be listening. Eventually, Uhaa headed to the ring but Larry seemed to be pleased. Lenny Leonard: “What’s Larry Dallas doing out there?! This is the main event and one of the biggest matches in EVOLVE history! No one wants to see him stick his nose in it!”EVOLVE/OPEN THE FREEDOM GATE CHAMPIONSHIP UNIFICATIONUhaa Nation def. AR FoxThere was no sign of friendship between these two as Fox tried a running big boot as soon as the bell rang. Unfortunately for him, Uhaa caught his foot and commenced to pound on him. Fox managed to evade an Uhaa attack and climbed to the top rope for a dive. Uhaa kipped up and jumped to the second turnbuckle where the pair struggled. Uhaa ended up toppling to the floor and Fox dropped down to check if he was okay. Showing compassion was a mistake as Uhaa grabbed Fox and sent him into the post. Uhaa threw him back into the ring and executed an Ultra Combination and Fox barely kicked out to the relief of the breathless fans. Uhaa continued his relentless assault on the EVOLVE Champion, effortlessly tossing him around the ring, including putting him through a table at one point. The beating proved to be more than Fox could handle and he was pinned after a standing shooting star press. Uhaa Nation was now the unified EVOLVE Champion! Uhaa disregarded his fallen friend as he raised both title belts high in the air for all to see. Larry Dallas jumped the guardrail and got in the ring. He reached to raise one of Uhaa’s arms but Uhaa yanked it back and pushed Dallas who flopped through the ropes and to the floor. The fans mocked the embarrassed Larry a moment before going back to booing Uhaa. EVOLVE RANKINGSChampion - Uhaa Nation - Chuck Taylor
- Ricochet
- Johnny Gargano
- Rich Swann
- Caleb Konley
- Anthony Nese
- Harlem Bravado
- Lancelot Bravado
- AR Fox
- Drew Gulak
