Here comes my Ring of Honor fed. Been looking forward to starting this. I've decided this fed will be connected to the rest of my Indy feds. As such there will be some shared titles for the time being. First up, the tournament to crown the ROH champ!
ROH: The Era of Honor Begins Again

- ROH World Championship Tournament Round 1 -
Kevin Steen vs. Matt Taven
Kevin Steen defeated Matt Taven with a powerbomb onto ring apron at 24:58
Match Rating: 3.50
Match Notes: They traded moves early, but once Steen put the pressure on, it turned into a very different story!
Taven took the beating of a lifetime, but to his credit, he wouldn't stay down. Steen pelted him with every move in his arsenal and even locked in the sharpshooter at a couple different points.
The action started spilling out in the homestretch and Steen hit a big dive through the ropes that leveled Taven.
Back inside, tho, Taven made the unlikeliest of comebacks... Only to have Steen lariat him out of no where.
Taven went to look for his head in the first row and Steen followed.
Powerbomb on the ring apron!
Steen rolls a limp Taven in.
1, 2, 3! Kevin Steen takes the win and moves on the quarter-finals!

Steve Corino vs. Davey Richards
Steve Corino defeated Davey Richards with an OLD SCHOOL LARIAT at 11:16
Match Rating: 3.75
Match Notes: The fans were behind Davey Richards. After his surprise appearance at CHIKARA's Torneo Cibernetico on the team of fan favorite Ultramantis Black, tho, he would need the support as he was the first eliminated.
Steve Corino got no love from the crowd and many are seeing this as his last chance at gold. Some were even surprised to find him included in the tournament.
They had a hell of a match.
Richards punished Corino early and it looked like the American Wolf would take the bout, but Corino showed grit and battled back. He just couldn't put Richards away. Even after an OLD SCHOOL SUPLEX and an OLD SCHOOL LARIAT.
The match would swing back and forth. Either man could've taken it.
Corino, tho, came back again and the crowd seemed to be a bit divided! Corino hit the Old School Kick! Old School Expulsion! He's got him on the ropes!
OLD SCHOOL SUPLEX! 1... 2... NO!
What does Corino have to do?!
Richards is up. He's groggy... OLD SCHOOL LARIAT!
1, 2, 3!
Steve Corino just beat Davey Richards to advance!
Corino extends the hand after... They follow the code of honor!

Adam Cole vs. Mike Bennett
Mike Bennett defeated Adam Cole with a tombstone piledriver at 7:09
Match Rating: 2.00
Match Notes: Mike Bennett was in top form tonite. With the lovely Maria at his side, he survived some early chain wrestling to hit a piledriver from no where!
He never looked back.
Adam Cole, try as he might, couldn't get anything started for long and absorbed massive amounts of punishment. Kicking out of multiple pin attempts.
In the end, tho, Bennett's punishing attack on the neck with piledrivers came to a head and after a big tombstone, Mike Bennett picked up an impressive win.

Austin Aries vs. El Generico
Austin Aries defeated El Generico with a brainbuster at 19:17
Match Rating: 4.00
Match Notes: A battle of the brainbusters, perhaps?
They put on a hell of a match! It was damn near perfect with lots of back and forth action and neither man led the match too long before it would swing the other way.
There were a couple of moments when it looked like Aries or Generico would pull it off, but then it would swing back the other way.
Generico made a cover after a Yakuza kick, but Aries kicked out. He set him up for the BRAINBUSTAHHHH, but Aries fought him off!
They see sawed and it looked like Generico had, but when he attempted a dive outside the ring, Aries avoided it and Generico crashed into the guardrail...
Aries hit him with a frog splash and then spiked him with a brainbuster!!!
1, 2, 3! Aries wins. What a match! Aries is saying "my brainbuster is better than yours", smirking as he shakes Generico's hand.
- ROH World Championship Tournament Round 1 -
Tyler Black vs. BJ Whitmer
BJ Whitmer defeated Tyler Black with a DQ at 17:49
Match Rating: 3.50
Match Notes: This one was an interesting matchup. Black was the favorite going in, but everyone knew that Whitmer wasn't going to be someone taken lightly.
They went back and forth in the opening moments and then went for broke right away.
The action continued in back and forth hi impact fashion. One spot saw Whitmer hit a buckle bomb, but Black came right back and hit not one but two of his own! Whitmer somehow kicked out of the pin attempt.
Whitmer would end up coming back tho and even hit a WRIST CLUTCH EXPLODER out of no where!
They continued back and forth, but Whitmer began picking Black apart with the Peruvian Necklace going for the submission win. Black wouldn't tap, tho, and even kicked out after an Adrenaline Spike!
The finish came when action spilled outside. The ref warned them as they battled over the announce table... Black somehow wrests control and powerbombs Whitmer through the table!
The ref won't stand for it. He warned them both. Tyler Black has been DQ'd!
Black is hot! Jimmy Jacobs is out! Jacobs and Whitmer have a long history, but Black is currently Black's right hand in the Age of the Fall.
Officials keep Jacobs away from Whitmer as he and Black head to the back,

Jay Lethal vs. Roderick Strong
Roderick Strong defeated Jay Lethal with an End of Heartache at 9:09
Match Rating: 3.00
Match Notes: Strong went for the STRONG HOLD almost immediately, but, Lethal was too fresh to put away. He didn't like being taken so lightly by Roderick, tho and they went back and forth with hi impact action.
Lethal hit the Lethal Combination, but missed a suicide dive to the outside immediately after and it gave Strong the opening he needed.
After another nearfall, Strong hit the End of Heartache to secure the win and advance in the tournament!

Eddie Edwards vs. Michael Elgin
Michael Elgin defeated Eddie Edwards with a SPINNING SIT-OUT POWERBOMB at 9:19
Match Rating: 2.75
Match Notes: Interesting matchup here. Elgin had the clear power advantage, but Edwards used his speed and technical prowess to get out of a sticky situation early.
Elgin had even hit his finisher, but Edwards wouldn't be put away that easily.
Die Hard came back and used his Achilles Lock to try to immobilize Elgin.
Elgin was in trouble after being hit with a suicide dive to the outside.
The action spilled out again after a chin checker and Elgin body dropped Edwards through a table!
Back inside he hit the SPINNING SIT-OUT POWERBOMB to score the win!

Homicide vs. Jay Briscoe
Jay Briscoe defeated Homicide with a somersault plancha at 15:40
Match Rating: 3.75
Match Notes: This ended up being a brutal stiff brawl! Both men were busted open!
Early in the match, Homicide was out of the ring and Jay smashed his head into the ring post! Crimson flowed down his face and Jay even wiped some on his chest!
Homicide would have his revenge, tho. Also, out of the ring, he got away with a chairshot and Jay was soon crimson masked.
It was a story of throwing bombs and there were some great spots.
Jay hit a suicide dive on Homicide and rolled him in. He went up top, but Homicide caught him with an ace crusher! It was a huge turning point in the match, but even DA GRINGO KILLER couldn't put Jay away!
Homicide was on spaghetti legs, tho, and Jay came back big! Homicide somehow survived two more JAY DRILLERs, but Briscoe spiked him with a DVD and then hit a somersault plancha from the apron to the ring and got the 1, 2, 3!
What a fight! Both men are bloody and Jay is going to have a hell of time in a match against a relatively fresh Kevin Steen!
C & C Wrestle Factory vs. reDRagon
This match ended in a draw (TIME LIMIT DRAW) at 30:00
Match Rating: 4.50
Match Notes: These four men were in one hell of a contest! They battled back and forth with lots of double teaming and nearfalls.
Coleman and Alexander seemed to control a bigger portion of the bout but only by a little. Fish and O'Reilly kept coming back from dire circumstances, but Caprice and Alexander met them at every tag.
In spite of multiple finishers and covers by both sides, no pinfall was scored.
Eventually, Coleman hit an Asai moonsault on O'Reilly, but the bell begin to ring. We have a Time Limit Draw!
A truly epic bout that proves these four men are very deserving of a tag team spotlight.
- BITW -
"Demi-Gods" hits the PA and AJ Styles makes his way out to the ring.
AJ: Ring of Honor, good to see you. I've been all around the world lately, living the dream and flying high. But then I got wind that Ring of Honor would be having a little tournament to crown their new champion. How things have changed... It's like this place is a shell of it's former self. And the proof should be that I wasn't invited to take part in that tournament! No. No one called AJ Styles! No one said, hmm, who helped put us on the map and should definitely be included in a tournament to crown a new champion?
I helped make this place what it is... or what it was. So let me just ask you: how do you leave out the Best in the World?!
"Cult of Personality" blares! The Grady Cole center comes absolutely unglued as CM Punk makes his way out to the ring. A huge "CM PUNK" chant breaks out. When it finally begins to die down...
PUNK: I'm sorry, did someone say my name? AJ... AJ... I gotta say, I'm a little surprised at you. Coming out here, complaining, whining, bitching. All because you didn't get invited to a tournament? You see, I was just thinking that when this dance was done, I'd let everyone know I wanted my shot. And then I'd earn it. You wanna know why, AJ?
Because that's what the BEST IN THE WORLD does!!!
The Best in the World doesn't expect have anything handed to him. He fights for it! he earns it! And sometimes, if necessary, he TAKES it!
And you know how I know all that?
Because I AM the best in the world!!!
AJ flies at Punk with a forearm and both men start going at it in the ring! Officials and other wrestlers pour out of the dressing room finally separating them.
Nigel McGuinness makes his way out in a suit with a mic.
NIGEL: You guys wanna come into this ring and try to hi jack this show? Well, I'm the authority, I'm the match-maker, and because this crowd won't go home happy otherwise... I'm putting the two of you in the main event! The winner gets a #1 Contender's match! The loser will be barred from challenging for the title for a full year!

Austin Aries vs. BJ Whitmer
Austin Aries defeated BJ Whitmer with a pendulum elbow at 1:48
Match Rating: 0.10
Match Notes: Aries meant business and turned a headlock into a string of moves that led to quick victory after a brainbuster followed up with a pendulum elbow!
Whitmer has been eliminated and Aries cruises on to the semi-finals tomorrow night!

Michael Elgin vs. Steve Corino
Steve Corino defeated Michael Elgin with an OLD SCHOOL SUPLEX at 7:25
Match Rating: 3.00
Match Notes: Steve Corino changed a couple of minds with his performance in the opening round match.
Michael Elgin has been picked as a favorite to at least make the finals, if not take the whole thing.
Elgin won the opening volley by hitting a stalling vertical suplex. He started to dominate Corino and it was looking like the end of the line for the King of Old School.
But when Corino kicked out of the SPINNING SIT-OUT POWERBOMB, Elgin and the fans were shocked.
Corino was thrown outside and that was Eglin's mistake. The crafty vet, suckered him in and won the brawl. Back in the ring he hit an OLD SCHOOL SUPLEX for a nearfall!
Another! 1... 2... 3! Steve Corino just beat Michael Elgin!

Roderick Strong vs. Mike Bennett
Mike Bennett defeated Roderick Strong with a PHOTO FINISH at 13:15
Match Rating: 3.25
Match Notes: They each went for and scored with big moves early, but Strong came out ahead and nearly put Bennett away!
In fact some may say he should be the victor as he locked in STRONGHOLD only to have Maria hop up on the apron and create the distraction Bennett needed.
They battled back and forth and again Maria came into play. Her interference allowed Bennett to hit a low blow and then BOX OFFICE SMASH, but Strong kicked out!
The action continued in see saw fashion until Bennett was able to hit a Russian leg sweep followed by a Spear!
PHOTO FINISH! 1, 2, 3!
Bennett has advanced!

Jay Briscoe vs. Kevin Steen
Kevin Steen defeated Jay Briscoe with a sharpshooter at 19:42
Match Rating: 4.00
Match Notes: Both men tried to win it early. In fact neither man did anything but try to win. They brawled and threw bombs, in and out of the ring.
Jay tried to use the JAY DRILLER early, but Steen was too fresh, even after having wrestled earlier.
Steen roared back to life and hit F-CINQ for a nearfall of his own.
Both men absorbed an unbelievable amount of punishment while also dishing out their own fair share.
The action spilled outside often, too. They had no problem bending the rules a couple of times either.
Steen was busted open after going headfirst into the guardrail!
It looked like Jay was going to take the victory, but Steen wouldn't say die and he came back! He applied the sharpshooter, but Jay wouldn't tap. Steen then hit him with a Fisherman buster to the knee.
Sharpshooter again! Jay is in agony! He taps out!

Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team vs. Young Bucks
Shelton Benjamin defeated Nick Jackson with a PAYDIRT at 3:18
Match Rating: 1.75
Match Notes: The World's Greatest Tag Team lived up to their name.
Haas immediately hit an overhead belly to belly that on Nick Jackson that began the one sided beatdown.
Hass even locked on HAAS OF PAIN, but Jackson was too close to the ropes.
Benjamin came in and after a little double team, Shelton kept up the punishing pace.
After hitting a suicide dive to the outside, Benjamin hit PAYDIRT! Matt is in, but Haas cuts him off!
1, 2, 3! Haas and Benjamin handle the Young Bucks!
AJ Styles vs. CM Punk
CM Punk defeated AJ Styles with a GO TO SLEEP at 17:08
Match Rating: 4.00
Match Notes: The fans got what they wanted out of this one!
They put together a great match that saw Styles dominate a portion of the match. He punished Punk with everything he had and Punk was even split wide open on the outside!
Punk came back tho. Even after a Shooting Styles Press and a STYLES CLASH!
Bloodied but unbowed, he made a short lived comeback, but Styles dodged a charge and Punk went flying to the outside.
Styles caught him with and Asai moonsault and Punk was nearly counted out, but he made it back in!
Styles couldn't believe it. He went to work on the knee and then whipped to the turnbuckle... Punk raises a knee! Enzguiri!
He throws Styles out... Elbow suicida!!!
Both men are down! Punk may have done more damage to himself than Styles... They make it back in... GO TO SLEEP!!!!
1... 2... 3! CM Punk wins!
He's a bloody mess and Styles is clearly disappointed... McGuinness is out and tells them to shake hands. Punk extends his... Styles hesitates, but finally shakes it before heading to the back.
Punk celebrates with the fans as the show comes to a close.

Match Notes: Steve Corino changed a couple of minds with his performance in the opening round match.
Michael Elgin has been picked as a favorite to at least make the finals, if not take the whole thing.
Elgin won the opening volley by hitting a stalling vertical suplex. He started to dominate Corino and it was looking like the end of the line for the King of Old School.
But when Corino kicked out of the SPINNING SIT-OUT POWERBOMB, Elgin and the fans were shocked.
Corino was thrown outside and that was Eglin's mistake. The crafty vet, suckered him in and won the brawl. Back in the ring he hit an OLD SCHOOL SUPLEX for a nearfall!

Roderick Strong vs. Mike Bennett
Mike Bennett defeated Roderick Strong with a PHOTO FINISH at 13:15
Match Rating: 3.25
Match Notes: They each went for and scored with big moves early, but Strong came out ahead and nearly put Bennett away!
In fact some may say he should be the victor as he locked in STRONGHOLD only to have Maria hop up on the apron and create the distraction Bennett needed.
They battled back and forth and again Maria came into play. Her interference allowed Bennett to hit a low blow and then BOX OFFICE SMASH, but Strong kicked out!
The action continued in see saw fashion until Bennett was able to hit a Russian leg sweep followed by a Spear!
PHOTO FINISH! 1, 2, 3!
Bennett has advanced!

Jay Briscoe vs. Kevin Steen
Kevin Steen defeated Jay Briscoe with a sharpshooter at 19:42
Match Rating: 4.00
Match Notes: Both men tried to win it early. In fact neither man did anything but try to win. They brawled and threw bombs, in and out of the ring.
Jay tried to use the JAY DRILLER early, but Steen was too fresh, even after having wrestled earlier.
Steen roared back to life and hit F-CINQ for a nearfall of his own.
Both men absorbed an unbelievable amount of punishment while also dishing out their own fair share.
The action spilled outside often, too. They had no problem bending the rules a couple of times either.
Steen was busted open after going headfirst into the guardrail!
It looked like Jay was going to take the victory, but Steen wouldn't say die and he came back! He applied the sharpshooter, but Jay wouldn't tap. Steen then hit him with a Fisherman buster to the knee.
Sharpshooter again! Jay is in agony! He taps out!

Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team vs. Young Bucks
Shelton Benjamin defeated Nick Jackson with a PAYDIRT at 3:18
Match Rating: 1.75
Match Notes: The World's Greatest Tag Team lived up to their name.
Haas immediately hit an overhead belly to belly that on Nick Jackson that began the one sided beatdown.
Hass even locked on HAAS OF PAIN, but Jackson was too close to the ropes.
Benjamin came in and after a little double team, Shelton kept up the punishing pace.
After hitting a suicide dive to the outside, Benjamin hit PAYDIRT! Matt is in, but Haas cuts him off!
1, 2, 3! Haas and Benjamin handle the Young Bucks!
AJ Styles vs. CM Punk
CM Punk defeated AJ Styles with a GO TO SLEEP at 17:08

Match Notes: The fans got what they wanted out of this one!
They put together a great match that saw Styles dominate a portion of the match. He punished Punk with everything he had and Punk was even split wide open on the outside!
Punk came back tho. Even after a Shooting Styles Press and a STYLES CLASH!
Bloodied but unbowed, he made a short lived comeback, but Styles dodged a charge and Punk went flying to the outside.
Styles caught him with and Asai moonsault and Punk was nearly counted out, but he made it back in!
Styles couldn't believe it. He went to work on the knee and then whipped to the turnbuckle... Punk raises a knee! Enzguiri!
He throws Styles out... Elbow suicida!!!
Both men are down! Punk may have done more damage to himself than Styles... They make it back in... GO TO SLEEP!!!!
1... 2... 3! CM Punk wins!
He's a bloody mess and Styles is clearly disappointed... McGuinness is out and tells them to shake hands. Punk extends his... Styles hesitates, but finally shakes it before heading to the back.
Punk celebrates with the fans as the show comes to a close.
