Note: The first two wrestlers in this match are Icarus & Drake Younger, then we saw Ethan Page, Bobby Fish & Davey Richards enter the match in that order. The first elimination is BOBBY FISH who was finished off by Icarus who performs a WINGS OF ICARUS. Ethan Page (3 tokens) was lucky to eliminate ICARUS (3 tokens) from this bout when Icarus uses a chair and he was DISQUALIFIED. This FRAY Match turned in favor of Page who next eliminates DAVEY RICHARDS (5 tokens) by way of a HEADSHOT CUTTER and then DRAKE YOUNGER (2 tokens) loses to Ethan Page by not heeding the referee's warning during a wild brawl via DISQUALIFICATION...

Lenny Leonard after the opening match explains that Ethan Page now has a chance to win a EVOLVE Contract before the end of January next year...

After losing their match, we witnessed AR Fox and Uhaa Nation talk with each other and both men shake hands and we hear each man say good luck later on and they part the ring to a chorus of cheers...

I enjoyed Evolve 16 especially the IWC Fray match with Ethan Page winning. It's a nice addition to your fed with guys getting a shot to earn a contract. It was cool to see the Inner City Machine Guns and Biff Busick win their matches. Busick is bouncing back nicely after a bad start. AR Fox-Uhaa Nation intercation was good too with them staying tag partners despite the loss and then fighting over the Evolve championship later on.

ICMG have slowly moved up and now they have their shot at Gold, plus it was good seeing Busick win the title shot. Note: The unique pairing of Johnny Saint & the Mysterious and Handsome Stranger looked the better tandem in this match and they had Nick Jackson (1 token) on the ropes. In the end it was Matt Jackson who was DISQUALIFIED for using a chair on Stranger after shoving Matt Dillon and your winners are STRANGE SAINTS...

JOHNNY SAINT: I and the Mysterious and Handsome Stranger now should be part of that EVOLVE IWC Tag Team Round Robin, but the Strange Saints know we have the Young Bucks number...

Note: The tension was at a high level between these two athletes who pushed & shoved each other before Tolle called for the bell to begin this bout. Drew Gulak (1 token) had a really solid showing and he truly dominated (Su Yung attempted to save Nese in this match) his opponent. This match was awarded quickly to ANTHONY NESE (6 tokens) who finishes off Gulak with a REFERSE PILEDRIVER...

Su Yung jumps into the ring and she raises Anthony Nese's arm in victory, then Nese yells out "MIDNIGHT UNIVERSITY IS DISMISSED!", which is greeted by "YOU SUCK!" from several of the fans and jeers from the many young kids in attendance...

Lenny Leonard: That was a shock of a loss for Drew Gulak who truly had Nese beat, but at any moment a match can be won. Anthony Nese now goes onto EVOLVE 19 to face AR Fox for his EVOLVE Championship. Fans this ends our show and we'll see you for EVOLVE 18 in Jacksonville, Florida...

What a win by Anthony Nese at Evolve 17. I always love when the dice take the result a different way as it looked like Drew Gulak would get a dominant win but Nese pulled it out in the end. Great stuff. Nese vs. AR Fox for the championship at Evolve 19 should be stellar.

Ethan Page failed to beat Caleb Konley so does that mean he can't earn his contract or does he still get a chance to win three in a row? I liked the IWC tag tournament and also as Vegas noted and I did in a previous post it is nice to see Heather Lynn playing a role in your Evolve fed. Great action as always Crimson.

Yes, Page still has a shot at winning a contract before the end of January in Year Three. I was happy that Nese bounced back for a huge win and his Fourth victory in a row, now I look forward to his match with Fox. I thought after reading from Vegas about Lynn at the recent EVOLVE shows, I'd add her into the mix...
