2130 SPOILERS

Got mine today as well. The artwork and story is fantastic. Nearly every card is a top card caliber talent. Lope has a 3(0) pin with two Add 1 moves. Nasty!

To clarify, as strikeout114 suggests, these guys are from a parallel universe's 2109, not the GWF's 2109. Though many of the characters and events are nearly identical, there are some serious differences. One very entertaining exception is that the alpha stone actually has tangible powers for Chaos Supreme! These are not clones or the same guys we know from GWF 2109.

Some great hints at the future: Will Wolf come back to face Lope? Will other Gladiators follow/chase Vengeance to have more conquests in our universe and/or get revenge? What happens when the team finds out that Paganax is from Dimension Y and that they were duped by Colby? And can somebody with resources follow Colby to 2130? What will Endgame (aka Sting from 1997) do? How long can Chaos, Mandrill, Sur and Vengeance possibly coexist?

Creatively, the potential is through the roof. Tom can tweak returning superstars, whether it's merely a moveset or entire character, and essentially rewrite 2109 and 2131 forward with new and refined characters. It's brilliant and really freshens the game moving forward.

I just finished the handbook and was impressed. I love parallel universe stories and for this one to be in the GWF universe was a huge joy for me. It had tons of elements for Tom to pay off of for years. So pumped Chaos is back I loved writing that guy. The art for the most part was good. Chaos, vengeance, code destroyer and spec being my favourites, Mandrill being my least favorite. Lope vs. wolf is a must for Christmas. TOM!! Home run. Well done.

Almost all of Future Shock are main event talent. Traitor has a tag specialist card, which was disappointing, but easy enough to fix. Chaos rates out at a 61, just where he was at his prime if memory serves. Crossfire is the only mid card talent in the group rating out at a 35 at first glance. Lope is an absolute beast - he will be fun to write. Think of him as Wild Child from Marvel Comics only in Wolf's body. There is no doubt that Wolf will be back to fight this guy very soon.

Storyline wise, this is something fresh, after struggling through several muddled years of declining storytelling. This gives the promoter all the tools necessary to go crazy in their fed and have no idea what the end result will be by years end. Like always, I will do my own thing with the characters, but I am very happy to see Tom's storyline reaching new levels - you can tell this set ignited his imagination. This set bodes well for the next couple years.

Thank you Tom for getting the sets out so quickly - I was not expecting it until next Friday.

Overall, this set is very well done. Interesting concept and story. I'm looking forward to seeing what I can do with this set.

As for the art, like any set there are good drawings and not so good drawings. As was previously stated, Mandrill and Lope are not high on my list. I may be in the minority, but It may be time to turn to Werner for the GWF art. I put 2130 beside the EVOLVE set and Werner's art blows 2130 away. Just my opinion.

Enjoy this set - you will have fun with it.
