Both Betrayers are still around as back up forces to Dark Menace. Nope. Both gone. Nope. Others section of the handbook: The GWF has cleared him for action and he is a back-up member of Dark Forces Members. The problem is even the Dark Menace doesn't know which one will appear when he is scheduled for action. He wrestles sporadically. Note: The Betrayer still uses his two Black Death playing cards.

Most intriguing part of the handbook, IMO:
Colby surveys it and speaks.
"What the hell was that?"
"What the hell was what?" asks Crossfire.
There is no answer as Colby considers the information.
"I'm not quite sure. It looks like there's something out there."

Could be nothing. Could be something cool. Very intriguing.

Ya they are still in the fed.

This is pretty incredible news. It’s actually kind of close to the storyline of my fed from about a year ago. In my corner of the universe, around 2121 (when I stopped playing) there were a couple of terrorist attacks at GWF events (including one on Aethra) and the GWF was shut down. Mr. Black (my universes Dark Menance) was deemed responsible, along with Epoch…however the two of them fled to another dimension with a good chunk of the GWF’s money, with the help of The Gatekeeper (who somehow had the ability to allow dimensional travel). A few wrestlers loyal to the GWF went after them to bring them to justice. When the Galactic crisis was finally over, and the GWF was allowed to start up again, Thantos, much like he had in 2087, had used time travel to bring some wrestlers from earlier eras to the present (2087 Executioner and Death Knight were two for example) to re-establish his dominance over the GWF. Soon after, Chaos, Matador of M83 and a couple other past greats made their way to the 'present' (they had followed Thantos) and my new GWF was born.
I was looking for a way to restart my fed without going the Black Death route, so I figured I had all these cards for great characters that weren’t being used anymore…but wanted to…I think it’s pretty incredible that Tom has done something similar, though from the sounds of it, his idea/story is much grander in scope…and I love the idea of the parallel universe and parallel wrestlers…I mean, come on, Chaos Supreme, Code Destroyer, The Perfect Specimen, Magnus the Magnanimous…those names are just dripping with coolness. Kudos to Tom for actually tempting me to pick up this set after a few years of not really being grabbed by the Black Death stuff…but I always find it amazing how people hundreds of miles apart, and with no contact, can come up with similar ideas due to the nature of this game. It really, truly is an amazing playground for ones imagination…and for that reason (among others) I am so glad I got into this game all those years ago. As someone who is constantly battling writers block and the like, I really should utilize CotG more as a tool to kickstart my imagination/creativity…cause some of the best stuff I’ve ever created has been because of this game.
Enjoy the new set everyone…and I’m thrilled that there seems to be so much genuine excitement ad energy about 2130…and rightfully so!

Hopefully led by Dark Justice... Or the gladiators... Or another Magnus Colby from a different parallel universe with a different set of wrestlers. Or a ship from another year entirely.

1 how could this be Crossfire in 2109 when it said he died in 2103 (mystery there also think prior Transevolver use by Colby when he first went into managing ) Crossfire not met a fateful end in a match on January 22, 2103 at Brymstone. In that encounter, Blazing Skull's protective headgear, which he was forced to wear by GWF officials, either slipped loose or was intentionally loosened-depending on whom one believes-and at a critical juncture when Crossfire's face was near to Skull's, an inferno shot forth, enveloping the young Centaurian. Sadly, the injuries inflicted on him were fatal, and the galaxy mourned the loss of a young man just coming into his prime. This crossfire is from a parallel universe. Things happened different there.

In this parallel universe Crossface and Blazing Skull had their match, only Crossface was badly burned instead of died in our current GWF universe. Crossface was out of action recovering for 6 months then came back and got revenge on Blazing Skull to the point that he ran him out of the GWF afterward.
