Pure Wrestling Association “BaDD Dreams” – Cambridge, Ontario, October 15, 2005 (Evening Show)
Todarius “TD” Thomas & Caprice Coleman v. Johnny Gargano & Charlie Haas Haas and Gargano both yap at the fans drawing great heat prior to the match but work well together cutting off Thomas from his corner. Haas & Gargano combine for an ankle trapping drop and a double clothesline before Haas traps Thomas in the HAAS OF PAIN for the shockingly quick win. dud
Ethan Page w/Seleziya Sparx v. Nick Madrid Madrid is a favourite of the fans and receives a solid pop when he comes to the ring. Page works the fans for heat picking on a youngster at ringside in particular. In the ring, Page presses the action leading up to a HEADSHOT CUTTER that only gets two. Page is not impressed with the officiating but carries on his attack. A Spinning Dwayne gets another near fall as does a second HEADSHOT CUTTER. Page is really giving it to the referee and the break allows Madrid to make his comeback. Page eats a butterfly suplex and a northern lights suplex that gets a near fall. Page is able to kick out after RUNNING WITH THE BULLS. The momentum has clearly turned. Madrid does not let up and a second northern lights suplex sets up RUNNING WITH THE BULLS. Sparx cannot cause a distraction and the referee makes the three count (Cat’s Eyes!). Madrid has a big win the fans love it. Page and Sparx are all over the referee claiming he kicked out and the fans give it Page who does not look impressed. *** ½
BJ Whitmer v. Adam Cole (ROH) These two have spit their previous two encounters and now were looking to get the definitive victory in their third bout. The action is back and forth early on but Whitmer connects with a belly to belly suplex (ch) and gets control. Cole catches Whitmer on the top of the corner and scores with a suplexplex getting a solid response from ringside. The match goes to ringside and Whitmer gets the upper hand. Back inside, Whitmer comes off the top with a deathjump and which sets up a WRIST CLUTCH EXPLODER for a near fall. Whitmer then follows up with a second WRIST CLUTCH EXPLODER for the win. *
AJ Styles v. Michael Elgin The fans are already chanting before the opening stair down anticipating a classic encounter from these two. They did not leave disappointed. The fans were treated to all the classic spots from both men as the action when back and forth from start to finish. Elgin broke out early with his power moves but a SPINNING SIT-OUT POWERBOMB only got a two count. Style made his comeback leading up to a STYLES CLASH but cannot get the three count. The momentum was continuous changing. Styles hit a pair of springboard 450 splashes. Elgin unleased a series of suplexes including a lengthy stalling vertical suplex that had the fans counting. A Fosbury Flop and Pelé kick does not keep Elgin down. A discus lariat from Styles looks sick but can only get a two count. The finishing sequence comes when Elgin stuns Styles with elbow strikes and then executes a deadlift powerbomb that shakes the ring and gets the three count. Standing ovation for both men from the fans. Just a solid match from start to finish. *****
Pure Violence Title Match – Rhino (ch) v. Sami Callihan Despite moments of absolute mayhem, this one started off predominately in the ring with Rhino keeping the action within the ropes and dominating his challenger. The action finally goes to the floor where Rhino attempts to finish Callihan with a powerbomb onto a table but Callihan reverses and backdrops Rhino through the table earning a loud chant from ringside. Callihan goes into the steel post shoulders first. Rhino punishes Callihan in the ring hitting four consecutive running powerslams at one point. A Death Valley Driver nearly ends it but Callihan gets the shoulder up. Callihan hits a pair of suicide dives. During a brawl on the floor, BLK Jeez comes out and the distraction allows Callihan to strike with a low blow on Rhino. Rhino never really recovers and Callihan is able to get Rhino into the STRETCH MUFFLER to capture the title for a second time. ***
Internet Title Match – Eddie Edwards (ch) v. BLK Jeez Jeez has already turned some heads with a brief reign as the Pure Violence Champion and really dominated the match out of the gate. Edwards barely survived a BLK Jeez Stomp and a BLK JESUS WALKS got a two and half count. A pair of Million $ Dropkicks rocks Edwards before the champion finally got something going. A couple of chin checkers gets the champion back into the match. Jeez is able to kick out after a tiger suplex and a DIE HARD only gets a two count. The crowd is really into the action as Edwards steps up his attack and gets the three count after a second DIE HARD. Despite losing, Jeez continues to impress and looks to remain in the PWA top tier mix. ****
Tim Donst & Ares v. The After Party (Johnny Goodtime & Rhett Titus) This was a solid contest from the outset with the momentum going back and forth. Titus gets cut off from his corner but finds a way to keep his shoulders off the mat. Goodtime leads the comeback. Twice Ares saves Donst from a TOP ROPE KNEE DROP with a wild brawl starting after the second save. It is back and forth with both teams making tags after the brawl. The crowd is frantic and a Thrust Buster on Donst gets the three count for Titus. ****
Pure Wrestling Title Best of Three Falls Match – Adam Pearce (ch) v. Arik Royal Pearce draws fantastic heat from the fans. The opening fall is simply epic. Pearce does sick colour very early and despite the blood loss manages to land two JUMPING PILEDRIVERS but cannot get the three count. Royal battles back and picks up a pair of near falls and then hits a KURT COBAIN SICK KICK for another near fall. Royal assaults Pearce with a chair shot but Pearce comes back again with a spinebuster and figure four leglock before a JUMPING PILEDRIVER gives Pearce the first fall. Pearce picks up where he finished and presses the attack against Royal. A figure four leglock goes some damage. Royal is able to come back on the floor and To The Last Drop leads to a KURT COBAIN SICK KICK and were are even at one fall each. Both men are spent as the third fall gets underway. Royal manages a To The Lasts Drop but cannot capitalize. Plenty of brawling on the floor. The energy from ringside is off the charts. It is back and forth until Pearce connects with a swinging neck breaker and then drapes his arm across Royal for the three count. Both men struggle to regain their feet after the match as the fans give both men a solid ovation. *****

aceldamas: thank you for comments. Callihan and Rhino has been a pleasant surprize. Pure Wrestling Association “The Phenomenal Challenge” – Goderich, Ontario, November 20, 2005 El Generico & Fire Ant v. Tim Donst & Ares The masked team of Ant and Generico are incredibly popular with the fans. Generico starts off strong against Donst nailing an exploder suplex into the turnbuckles and then landing a BRAINBUSTAAAHHH!!! (5). Ant blocks Ares from making the save but somehow Donst gets a shoulder up at the last second. Donst is reeling as Ant takes over from Generico. Donst gets the defensive tag but Ares cannot get anything going before Generico is tagged back into the match. Ares takes an exploder suplex into the corner. Donst is back into the action. Ant connects with a BEACH BREAK but Ares makes the save. Ant follows with a leaping kick and gets the three count much to the pleasure of the fans at ringside. *** BJ Whitmer v. BLK Jeez A very interesting matchup between two competitors who have found some early success in the PWA. Whitmer is able to gain the upper hand early on and gets a two count after a WRIST CLUTCH EXPLODER. Jeez bails to the floor but Whitmer comes out after him getting the best of the brawl at ringside. The action goes back outside again. Both men end up brawling on the apron and Jeez backdrops Whitmer into the ring as the referee count reaches ten. Jeez is counted out of the ring. Both men continue to brawl after the bell back to the dressing room. * Pure Violence Title Match – Sami Callihan (ch) v. Rhino This was a return match from BaDD Dreams where Callihan defeated Rhino to capture the gold. Callihan takes a horrific beating in and out of the ring from the outset of this one. He is a bloody mess as Rhino unleashes power move after power move but does not make an effort to pin the champion as it is clear it is Rhino’s intent to punish the champion, not beat him. Callihan tosses a chair into the face of Rhino busting him open and suddenly we have a match. A Forearm 2 Remember shakes the ring but does not get Callihan any closer to victory. Rhino is able to catch Callihan on the top of the corner and tosses him to the mat. Rhino nails a Death Valley Driver and then connects with a GORE! 1, 2, 3. Rhino is once again the Pure Violence Champion. ** ½ Nick Madrid v. Ethan Page w/Seleziya Sparx Page really works the fans for fantastic heat. Madrid uses his quickness to get the early advantage. Page turns things around with a superkick that nearly ends it. Page follows with The Spinning Dwayne but cannot get the three count. A shuffle driver followed by a reverse brainbuster only gets a two count. Page is clearly frustrated but Sparx encourages him to keep on his opponent. Page does just that and maintains the advantage until the can hit a HEADSHOT CUTTER for the convincing three count. ** ½ Internet Title Match – Eddie Edwards (ch) v. Michael Elgin A handshake gets the action underway. Elgin is a machine in this one and hits the champion with everything and often. A Deadlift Powerbomb impresses the fans as does a suplex into a side slam. They don’t get the three count however and neither does two SPINNING SIT-OUT POWERBOMBS. Clearly in trouble, Edwards collapses to the floor but Elgin comes outside and turns the champion inside out with a charging lariat. Edwards cannot recover and is counted out of the ring. Despite the dominating win, Elgin leaves Goderich without the gold. ** Courtney Rush v. Sara Del Rey This is a rematch from the Woman’s Elite 8 Tournament back in October that say Rush come away with a controversial disqualification decision over Del Rey. Del Rey starts out strong and dominates the action from the opening bell. A powerbomb gets a near fall and the action begins to go in and out of the ring. We get plenty of brawling between the two competitors. Del Rey is almost counted out after a body slam on the floor. The action goes back to the floor and Del Rey traps Rush in a LeBell Lock and refuses to release the hold giving the referee no choice but to call for the disqualification. ** Young Bucks (Nick Jackson & Matt Jackson) v. The After Party (Rhett Titus & Johnny Goodtime) These two teams are arguably the top in the PWA. Back on the first card, the Bucks put Goodtime through a table and Goodtime has been looking for some payback since. All four men see action early on with no clear advantage. The Bucks catch Goodtime with a buckle bomb into double knees which leads directly to MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK. The Jackson brothers leave Goderich with a big win. dud Pure Wrestling Title Match – Adam Pearce (ch) v. AJ Styles Styles was failed in his first opportunity to capture the Pure Wrestling Title back on the first card and now has battled his way through several opponents to earn a showdown with Pearce at the end of the year. The fans give Styles a huge ovation during the introduction but it is Pearce that gets the definitive edge from the outset. Pearce nails a neck-breaking clothesline in the corner which leads to a JUMPING PILEDRIVER for a near fall. Peace keeps on his challenger both in and out of the ring. Styles escapes a figure four leglock with a reversal but Pearce is just too much on this night and gets the win with a Last Ride Lariat that twists Styles inside out. * Pure Wrestling Champion: Adam Pearce Pure Violence Champion: Rhino Internet Champion: Eddie Edwards

Great action on the last few cards Bookerbill, that Pearce vs. Royal match was epic. I also like the competition over the Pure Violence title and the tag team of El Generico & Fire Ant.

Thank you for the feedback CC, Ace and Crew. Pure Wrestling Association – Cambridge, Ontario, January 1, 2006
Tadarius TD Thomas v. Nick Madrid Handshake gets things underway. Thomas, known exclusively for his tag team work in the PWA was making his singles debut tonight and showed he could go move for move with Madrid early on. The pace was incredible and the fans really enjoyed the exchange of offense. Madrid slowed Thomas’ offence with a Northern Lights Suplex and took over the action. Twice Thomas survived the RUNNING OF THE BULLS. Later, Thomas kicked out after an impressive looking cross body block but was clearing running out of steam. Madrid dives onto Thomas at ringside and Thomas does not beat the count-out. Madrid is the winner of the opening contest. **
Johnny Goodtime v. BLK Jeez Both competitors appear hungry for a victory tonight but Jeez simply brought more intensity to the contest. The 11th Commandment was an effective weapon turning the match in Jeez favour. Goodtime survived an early BLACK JESUS WALKS before Jeez hit three consecutive running tornado DDTs for another near fall. Million $ Dropkick took its toll and Jeez ended it with a second BLACK JESUS WALKS. Dominating win for Jeez that will move him up the contender’s rankings. * ½ Tim Donst v. Rhett Titus Titus has the fans solidly behind him tonight and gives them plenty to cheer about as he takes the battle to Donst from the opening bell. Donst kicks out after a MUFF DRIVER and gets his shoulder up from after pin attempts following a back to back superkicks and Sex Factor. Donst is able to make a brief comeback and traps Titus in a shoelace choke bodyscissors and then uses a camel clutch with strikes. Titus makes his own comeback and has Donst on the defensive and Donst avoids a clothesline and connects with an elbow hammer. Donst makes the cover and uses his feet on the ropes for leverage to score the win. **
Winner gets last entry in the Rumble – Arik Royal v. AJ Styles Both of these men have been top contenders to the Pure Wrestling Title over the last year and were looking to return to that position by winning the over the top Battle Royal tonight to earn another shot at the title. Getting the last entry in the Battle Royal Rumble would certainly give them the advantage. This one was awesome and got underway with a handshake. Royal uses his power to get the early advantage and rocked ringside when he slammed Styles through a ringside table. Royal took the action back to the ring and punished Styles with a Cloverleaf but Styles was able to gain the ropes to stay alive. Styles was somehow able to battle back and position Royal for a STYLES CLASH but could only get a two count. The battle raged on and Styles began to gain the upper hand. A Pelé kick spilled Royal to the floor and Styles followed with a Fostbury Flop. Back in the ring, Style landed four consecutive deathjump flying elbow smashes with the fans cheering each on. Style then planted Royal with a STYLES CLASH in the middle of the ring for the three count. *** ½
Elite Women’s Championship – Mia Yim v. Christina Von Eerie Von Eerie was the surprise winner of last year’s Elite 8 Woman’s Cup and Yim has yet to pinned in single competition. The winner tonight walks away with the PWA Elite Women’s Championship. We get plenty of brawling at ringside early on before Yim takes control of the bout with a series of kicks. Although Yim maintains the advantage for most of the contest she is not able to get the pinfall on Eerie. Both ladies trade chair shots at ringside but the referee lets the action continue. Eerie continues to battle back from behind and the fans get behind each one of her comebacks. Dead Rising sets up a 138 but Yim kicks out of the cover. The action goes back and forth as we head into the finish which comes when Von Eerie connects with a sick looking knee strike and gets the three count. Perhaps the match went a tad too long but the fans were happy with the end result. **
Internet Title Match – Eddie Edwards (ch) v. Adam Cole v. BJ Whitmer v. Ethan Page w/Seleziya Sparx Rumour has it that Edwards was originally booked in the Pure Wrestling Title match tonight but his loss of Michael Elgin at The Phenomenal Challenge caused the promoters to make the switch. Now he faces the difficult task of defending the Internet Title against not one but three contenders at once. The action is hard to follow early on with all four men brawling. Page looks very impressive against Whitmer early on but it is Cole is gets the first near fall when he hits a FLYING CROSSBODY on Edwards but Whitmer breaks over the cover. The action goes back and forth will everyone featured at some point. Whitmer knocks the champion off the top rope blocking a deathjump on Page and Edwards is out of the match for a stretch. Whitmer scores with a WRIST CLUTCH SUPLEX on Edwards but can only get a two count. With Page and Whitmer brawling on the floor, Edwards catches Cole with back to back chin checkers and hooks the leg for the three count to retain the title. * ½
Pure Violence Title Match – Rhino (ch) v. Sami Callihan Callihan showed no fear and immediately went after his larger opponent unleashing a Saito suplex and then trapping Rhino in a Koji clutch. Rhino power back and caught Callihan with a side belly to belly suplex that shook the ring and was enough for Rhino to get the three count. The fans were stunned and really expected a much longer, intense battle between these two. dud
Tag Team Title Match – Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) v. El Generico & Fire Ant v. Johnny Gargano & Charlie Haas The fans are solidly behind the pairing of Generico & Ant from the outset. The Bucks both see action early on against both Generico and Ant. Matt Jackson blind tags in Haas and the team of Ant and Generico get control. Gargano relieves his partner but soon get caught away from his corner and is in trouble. Generico and Ant make frequent tags keeping the pressure on Gargano leading up to a BRAINBUSTAAAHHH!!! (6) but Haas saves his partner. Ant tags in and plants Gargano with a BEACH BREAK. Haas jumps in for the save but Generico cuts him off. Gargano bails to the floor but Ant dives onto him bring in a great looking spot. Gargano beats the ten count back into the ring but Generico is ready with a second BRAINBUSTAAAHHH!!! (5) to get the win and capture the tag team titles. **
Pure Wrestling Title Match – Adam Peace (ch) v. Michael Elgin The fans were still buzzing from the previous match during the introductions for the Pure Wrestling Title Match. Pearce is just hated by ringside. Elgin counters an early deathjump attempt with a power slam for a near fall and then plants Pearce with back to back SPINNING SITUOT POWERBOMBS but somehow Peace kicks out each time. Pearce is able to counter a deathjump by knocking the ropes toppling Elgin to the mat. With the momentum turned, Pearce goes to work on the neck with a series of neckbreakers. He hits a JUMPING PILEDRIVER but the fans pop when Elgin kicks out at two. Elgin survives a figure four leglock. Elgin wins a brawl on the floor but cannot maintain the advantage. Pearce is clearly in control when Elgin catches him climbing the corner and tosses him to the mat. The fans are roaring as Elgin crushes Pearce with a third SPINNING SITOUT POWERBOMB to win the title! ***
Over the Top Rumble – Winner is the number one contender for the Pure Wrestling Title: Fire Ant, Ares, Sami Callihan, Adam Cole, Caprice Coleman, Tim Donst, Eddie Edwards, Johnny Gargano, El Generico, Johnny Goodtime, Charlie Haas, Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, BLK Jeez, Nick Madrid, Ethan Page, AJ Styles, Adam Pearce, Rhino, Arik Royal, Tadarius TD Thomas, Rhett Titus, BJ Whitmer
Ethan Page and Rhett Titus start the action off and are then joined first by Charlie Haas and then by Johnny Goodtime. Haas rocks Goodtime with a tombstone piledriver and then tosses Goodtime to the floor for the first elimination. Titus is able to backdrop Page over the ropes moments later for the second elimination. Adam Cole joints the battle next and is content to let Titus and Haas tangle. Haas is nearly ends Titus’ night with a backdrop in the corner but then does toss him to the floor seconds later. Caprice Coleman joins the action. Cole catches Haas with a FLYING CROSSBODY and then dumps him to the floor. Sami Callihan is out next and actually joins with Coleman for a double team suplex senton combination on Cole. But Cole battles back and catches Coleman with a FLYING CROSSBODY and then dumps him over the ropes for his second elimination of the match. Nick Jackson is out to solid heat and fans love it when Cole beats the stuffing out of the Young Buck. Cole mounts the corner but Callihan is able to makes the save knocking Cole from the buckle to the floor for the next elimination. BLK Jeez is out next and immediately battles Callihan but Callihan is more than ready and backdrops Jeez to the floor for the elimination. One half of the Tag Team Champions arrives next as El Generico is out to huge reaction. Internet Champion Eddie Edwards then joins the match. Jackson and Generico struggle on the top of the corner and Jackson is able to get the advantage and then hits a 450 SPLASH before tosses Generico to the floor. Edwards is all over Callihan and hits back to back diving double stomps. Callihan and finished and Edwards tosses him to the floor. Edwards and Jackson are left to battle one on one. Edwards connects with a DIE HARD and then applies an Achilles Lock. Jackson is trouble and the fans eat it up. Edwards then tosses Jackson to the floor just as the next participant is about to be announced. BJ Whitmer arrives to the ring. Edwards immediately goes on the attack and clothesline in the corner ends Whitmer’s bid for the win. Matt Jackson enters the match next and gets the best of Edwards right of way. However, Jackson misses his MOONSAULT attempt and Edwards then crushes Jackson with back to back DIE HARDS and then tosses him from contention. Arik Royal comes out to a solid ovation and battles back and forth with Edwards. The Pure Violence Champion Rhino joins the action and wisely targets Edwards who has been in the ring for some time. Edwards shows that he still has some gas in the tank with a tiger suplex and then he dumps Rhino to the floor for yet another elimination. Royal and Edwards battle once again and this time Edwards catches him with a running clothesline in the corner that sends Royal to the floor for his sixth consecutive elimination. Former Pure Wrestling Champion Adam Pearce is out next getting great heat. Tadarius TD Thomas joins the match to make it three men in the ring but it is the battle between Edwards and Pearce that has the fans on their feet. Pearce is nearly eliminated with a clothesline but battles back until Edwards hits a chin check followed by a tiger suplex and finally a DIE HARD. The fans explode as Edwards dumps Pearce for his seventh elimination! Ares is out next followed after that by is tag team partner Tim Donst. Edwards catches Donst in the corner with a wicked clothesline while Thomas battles Ares on the opposite side of the ring. Edwards hits a DIE HARD and gets yet another elimination. In the meanwhile Thomas has Ares reeling with back to back FLURRY OF CAPOEIRA KICKS but cannot get the elimination. Thomas climbs the corner but Ares tosses him to the mat before throwing him over the ropes to the floor. Ares then jumps Fire Ant as soon as he hits the ring. Ant is quickly overwhelmed and the other half of the Tag Team Champions is eliminated after a TIGER DRIVER. Edwards and Ares battle in the ring before Johnny Gargano joins the match. Gargano immediately gets the upper hand on Edwards and nearly clothesline him from the match in the corner. Gargano mounts the corner but Edwards is able to catch him on the top and knocks him to the floor. Gargano is the ninth competitor sent packing by the Internet Champion! Edwards and Ares battle and Edwards scores with a Tiger Suplex. Edwards then hits a moonsault (ch) before sending Ares over the top. Make it ten! Nick Madrid is out to a nice ovation. Edwards is fired up however and quickly gets the best of Madrid slowing him down with a chin checker followed by an Achilles Lock. A DIE HARD follows and Madrid is elimination. The final competitor AJ Styles comes out and the fans are standing for the efforts of Edwards. Edwards takes control with two superkicks and a sitout F5 that has the fans rocking. Edwards then charges Styles in the corner with a clothesline and Style flips over the ropes and tumbles to the floor. Edwards wins the Rumble and will face the PWA Champion the next time the PWA returns to Cambridge. *** What a night for Internet Champion Eddie Edwards. Not only did he have to find a way to rebound from his disappointing performance last card against Michael Elgin but he had to first defend his title against three challengers at once and then he went and eliminated half the roster on route to winning the Rumble Match and earned himself a showdown with the Pure Wrestling Champion. Awesome performance. An speaking of Champions, we have three new ones. Michael Elgin is the new Pure Wrestling Champion has be built on his count out win over Edwards last card to defeat Adam Pearce for the tile in a hard fought contest. El Generico & Fire Ant thrilled the fans by becoming the first Tag Team Champions tonight and Christina Von Eerie continued her PWA success claiming the Elite Women’s Title.
