Hate to see Lester leave the Sox, but good luck to him & the A's. Would love to see Billy Beane finally get a World Series ring. Psyched to see what Cespedes does for the Sox!

Yesterday I saw the Pirates were in the running for Lester. Also was told since this is the usual rental player with a contract expiring they think Lester will resign with Boston after the season.

I'm thinking he will too...that's why I'm amazed Oakland was willing to part with Yoenis Cespedes. And the firesale continues, as John Lackey was just dealt to St. Louis for Joe Kelly & Allen Craig...

A little surprised by the other trade Oakland made with the Twins for a guy they previously released earlier in the season, but Oakland is obviously going for it this year.
