STORMS OUT OF THE CROWD!
AND ATTACKS THE ROCK!...DELIVERING NOT ONE BUT TWO DEVASTATING PILE DRIVERS ON THE OUTSIDE!VAL SMILES AND HANDS A BRIEFCASE WHICH HOLDS THE BOUNTY REWARD IN IT...RACE IS ABOUT TO TAKE THE CASE WHEN HE SHOVES IT BACK TO VAL WHO FALLS BACK TO THE MAT!

HE SCREAMS TO VAL TO GET THE HELL OUT..AND THAT HE CAN'T BE BOUGHT AND THEIR OTHER REASONS WHY HE DID WHAT HE DID TO THE ROCK...SUDDENLY SECURITY CAME DOWN TO THE RING AND ESCORTED A DISTRAUGHT VAL OUT OF THE BUILDING

WITH THAT RACE DOSN'T SAY ANOTHER WORD AND AS THE ROCK IS GETTING LOADED ON A STRETCHER...HE LEAVES THE BUILDING!

TRADITION TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
FURNAS/KOFFAT defeated (C) THE BRITISH BULLDOGS
As the crowd was still a buzz over what just happened to open the show...history was made as we crowned new tag team championsThe match was tremendous with these very similar teams going at it for nearly 25 minutes....Davey Boy thought he had the match won after a press slam over the top rope threw at table on Furnas!

This left the Bulldogs to double team Kroffat who took a ton of punishment but withstood it and got the great victory after Dynamite Kid missed his diving head butt from the top rope! then Kroffat rolled up Davey Boy for the pin coming off the ropes!

*AS STREAMERS FROM THE CROWD LITTERED THE RING AND THE NEW CHAMPIONS CELEBRATED....THE FORMER CHAMPIONS LEFT THE RING IN DISGUST*

BISON SMITH defeated STEVE CORINO and TAJIRI
Despite once again getting the green mist in the face by Tajiri..thanks to a devastating power bomb Bison Smith nearly broke Tajiri in half threw a table!...blood was spilled between Bison and Corino...the King of Old school was looking for revenge on the man who put him out of action.

But it was Bison who got the victory after a running knee strike in the corner right to the head of Corino knocking him out cold

CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI defeated CHRIS BENOIT
Very physical match which saw Double C get the hard earned victory thanks to his Ricola Bomb finisher...Benoit despite getting beat still wanted more of Claudio as they stood nose to nose

TRACI BROOKS
"Listen up you red headed whore...this place isn't big enough for the both of us.....so thanks to the great wrestling mind that I posess it is going to be a loser leaves town ladder match between u and me Christy...and trust me bitch you better have your bags packed for card #70 cause I ain't going nowhere!!!!"

TRADITION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
(C) CHRIS HERO defeated MISAWA
Perhaps not only the greatest match in his young career but the biggest victory over a man he respects very much the legendary Misawa.

Misawa controlled most of the match..but Hero would not stay down..despite getting hit with the Emerald Fusion...Hero kicked out! to the dismay of everyone...With a kravat kick Hero thought he got the victory and after a Tiger Driver '85 Misawa was inches away from the gold..but Hero once again kicked out and out of nowhere delivered and elbow strike to the temple of Misawa to knock him out enough to get the 3 count and victory!

AFTER THE MATCH STREAMERS ONCE AGAIN FLOODED THE RING BY THE CROWD AS MISAWA RAISED THE HAND OF CHRIS HERO IN VICTORY IN A GREAT SHOW OF RESPECT

"You people keep asking me WHY...why did I beat the living hell out of the most electrifying man in sports entertainment today?...and WHY did I shove the million dollars back in that bitches face and run her off.....One thing at a time..first to you ROCK

This sport isn't a game....this isn't some place where you can show up when do as you please say a couple of cute little sayings then leave at your leisure...you want to entertain the millions you claim to have...fine but THIS isn't the place for it

In this ring real men like MISAWA...like Steve Corino....like Tekeshi Morishima...like Frank Gotch...like Dan Severn have bled and put there lively hood on the line for the love of this sport.

This isn't the McMahon fantasy you are living in Dwayne...and for you to come in here and treat it like a circus...you are showing the up most disrespect.....so I decided to something about it...so if you decide to show your face around here again...I will be waiting for you!

That leaves me to Val....first thing is first...I will never be bought...especailly by some red headed whore like Val...I have class...I have dignity and most importantly I have respect for this business.....so as far as I am concerned that bitch and her 2 dollar business man Sweeney are done here!

"Mr Race...did not mean to interrupt you with this grand holier then tho speech of yours...but I had to come out here and say I agree 110% with what you are saying and what you did...there is no place in this SPORT for trash like Val...and The Rock.

This sport is for real men..gladiators...true fighters...and might I add Olympic gold medal winners...so when you where naming off the talent that help build this company...I noticed you forgot one name...and that is me KURT ANGLE

Anyway to answer your question..I did leave you off the list....since you have been to busy hiding behind Christy Hemmie's dress as of late...really what have you done here....In my view and in a lot of people's humble opinion you have done NOTHING..sure you have had some really solid matches...but we expect that from you

You were brought in to this company back in 2009 to be the center piece...to be the guy to build around....and I think it is fair to say that..that has not happened...how many titles have you won here Kurt?

The only thing you have been carrying around here lately is Christy Hemmie's purse!

THE AMERICAN WOLVES defeated THE HART DYNASTY
"Once again these two teams tore the roof off with tremendous tag action...it seemed as though Harry Smith really took the brunt of the match..with Tyson making quick tags to get out of the ring whatever the situation.

In the end thanks to a DR Driver by Richards the Wolves prevail and move forward in the tournament

*AFTER THE MATCH...TYSON AND NATAYLA BOTH SLAPPED SMITH IN THE FACE AND WALKED OUT OF THE BUILDING..LEAVING SMITH IN THE RING IN SHOCK

THE IRISH AIRBORNE defeated RODERICK STRONG/AUSTIN ARIES
Aries makes his debut in TRADITION by teaming with his former ROH tag partner...and in the early going had the match in hand...even having Aries finisher THE LAST CHANCERY on Dave Crist...but with a perfect elbow from the top by Jake Crist followed by the AIR RAID finisher..the brothers of the Airborne got their hands raised in victory

MISAWA/BISON SMITH defeated THE KINGS OF WRESTLING
Another intense battle between these two teams as once again the TRADITION Champion Chris Hero goes at it with Misawa..this time the international legend gets the victory over the champion but it really thanks to Bison Smith as he delivered a devastating power bomb to Hero..and motioned for Misawa to make the pin...which he did for the victory!

TEKESHI MORISHIMA/TAJIRI defeated THE THRILL-SEEKERS
A standing ovation by the fans for Lance Storm who was not even close to 100% percent thanks to his injury at TRADITION RE-WRITES HISTORY NIGHT 4 but he battled to the nail for his tag partner Chris Jericho.

Jericho hit the lion sault on Morishima but it was a thrust kick square in the face by Tajiri that knocked Y2J out cold and as Morishima crushed Storm in the corner Tajiri made the cover for the three count

LOSER LEAVES TOWN LADIES LADDER MATCH
CHRISTY HEMMIE defeated TRACI BROOKS
CATFIGGGHT!!!! in what was one of the greatest women's matches this promotion has ever had..it did not take long these two brawled all over the place...Christy with several slaps to the face and a huracanrana off the top of the bar got the early advantage but Traci thanks to throwing beer in the face of her opponent was in control

and she took advantage..getting the ladder and nailing Christy in the midsection with it then setting it up outside the ring climbing up a few rungs and diving off with a flying forearm right to the head of Christy!

After a picture perfect tilt a whirl head scissors on the concrete by Traci..she set the ladder up in the ring and started to climb....Christy somehow recovered and pushed the ladder over!..Traci crashed down to the ring...then the red head snapped off a vicious DDT and started to climb the ladder...Traci recovered in her own right and hit Hemmie with a flying dropkick knocking her off the ladder...

Traci began to climb with Christy down....Traci then looked to the crowd when she was one rung away from the top of the ladder and instead of reaching for the contract and win she decided to dive off the ladder and hit her PIE IN THE SKY FINISHER!...Christy moved just in time as Traci crashed down hard in the middle of the ring!...with that Christy delivered the TWIST OF FATE! and climbed the ladder to grab the contract and win the match!

*AFTER THE MATCH FANS AND WRESTLERS ALIKE GAVE A STANDING OVATION TO BOTH LADIES FOR THE GREAT MATCH.......STREAMERS LITTERED THE RING AS FANS SHOWED GREAT RESPECT!

SEMI-FINAL MATCH
TEKESHI MORISHIMA/TAJIRI defeated MISAWA/BISON SMITH
Great opening match of the night as once again these two rival teams went at it once again to the delight of the crowd

Back and fourth the teams went with a few near falls...but thanks to STEVE CORINO coming down to ringside and distracting Bison Smith...Morishima dropped Misawa with a vicious German suplex after Tajiri caught the international legend with a stiff kick to the head!

RODERICK STRONG defeated CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI
Solid match between 2 of the hardest hitters in wrestling today....despite taking out Strong with vicious European uppercuts followed by a bicycle kick and a massive airplane spin....Strong continues to impress in TRADITION singles competition as he took the best Claudio could give and thanks to his fireman's carry gut buster gets the hard fought victory!

*AFTER THE MATCH RODERICK TOLD THE STILL RECOVERING CLAUDIO- "Tell your tag team partner champion...I am coming to knock his head off and take that title!*

SUDDENLY A CAMERAMAN CAUGHT AN ALTERCATION IN THE BACK BETWEEN....

THE AMERICAN WOLVES defeated THE IRISH AIRBORNE
Who will reach the finals of this tournament to battle Morishima and Tajiri..these two young teams knew exactly what was at stake as all four men left everything they had in the ring

Despite Richards seemingly distracted with what transpired with Harry Smith earlier...Eddie Edwards after surving a spring board plancha by Dave Crist...Die Hard caught Crist with a nasty chin checker for the victory to advance

*BEFORE THE MAIN EVENT OF THE SHOW BEGAN....KURT ANGLE GOT ON THE MICROPHONE AND TOLD THE FANS THAT HE HOPES HARLEY RACE IS WATCHING WHAT TRUE WRESTLING IS ALL ABOUT*

CHRIS BENOIT defeated KURT ANGLE
These two rivals went at it once again for nearly 30 minutes...as the man that injured Kurt Angle gets the better of the Olympic Gold Medalist once again.....as Benoit reversed the ankle lock finisher at 28:23 of the match and rolled up Angle for the 1-2-3 pin and the victory!

"Tonight Chris Hero we go to war...last year you won via DQ...now it's a new year...with a new result....no Pearce...no Claudio...just me taking what is rightfully mine THE TRADITION CHAMPIONSHIP and in the process knocking your damn head off!

TRIPLE THREAT MATCH
TEKESHI MORISHIMA defeated EDDIE EDWARDS and DOUG FURNAS
The former TRADITION Champion showed his dominance in the match...as Furnas and Edwards were exchanging stiff strikes to the face Morishima picked his spot and Back suplexed Edwards right on his head...and gave a lariat the turned one half of the TRADITION Tag Team Champions; Doug Furnas..and once Morishima splashed Eddie in the corner followed by a nasty elbow to the face he got the three count on one half of the American Wolves

BISON SMITH and RODERICK STRONG DOUBLE COUNT-OUT
One of the most fierce hard hitting matches you will ever witness...chops, hay makers, strikes,kicks a plenty from both men but neither man really was able to gain a true advantage over the other until the action spilled to outside the ring when Bison smashed Strong head first into the post and looked as though was going to throw Roddy back in the ring and get the cover when....STEVE CORINO came out of the crowd and just slammed Bison Smith with a vicious chair shot to the head! busting him open and seemingly knocking him out cold....with both men out..neither could respond to the 20 count and get back to into the ring..the ref called for the double count out.

*AFTER THE MATCH BOTH STRONG AND SMITH NEEDED SOME ASSISTANCE TO THE BACK*

TRIPLE THREAT MATCH
DAVEY RICHARDS defeated TAJIRI and DAN KROFFAT
Kroffat took Tajiri out of the match with a devastating super kick square to the side of the head but thanks to a DR Driver...the American Wolf gets the three count on the TRADITION Tag Team Champion

TRADITION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
(C) CHRIS HERO defeated BRENT ALBRIGHT
Hard hitting to say the least, Albright came out like a house of fire..hitting 3 consecutive lariats in a row followed by a German suplex...but the Champion Hero would not stay down....Hero did indeed fight back with vicious elbows and a picture perfect elbow from the top rope!

Albright however escaped and after a boot to the face he applied a vicious cross face submission....Hero did not tap and was able to reach the ropes for the break and thanks to another stiff elbow to the face of the challenger and thanks to his Hero's welcome finisher was able to retain HIS title

*AFTER THE MATCH...ADAM PEARCE COMES STORMING INTO THE RING...FOLLOWED BY CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI....CHRIS BENOIT....KURT ANGLE AND HARLEY RACE...EVERYONE BRAWLS WITH THE CHAMPION LOOKING ON OUTSIDE THE RING!*

Solid match between these two up and coming young wrestlers...Stevens a former Young Lions champion in TRADITION gets the early upper hand thanks to a Samoan drop right into a single leg lift lariat...Jacobs shows his reserve and fights back and hitting a vicious spear then getting the hard fought victory with a diving senton!

*AFTER THE MATCH JACOBS LEAVES THE BUILDING IMMEDIATALLY...THE CAMERAMAN FOLLOWS JACOBS OUT....SUDDENLY THEY CATCH A GLIMPSE OF...

SOCAL VAL
GETTING INTO A CAR AND TAKING OFF

THE AMERICAN WOLVES defeated THE IRISH AIRBORNE
Jake Crist started the match in a big way hitting a vicious jaw breaker on Eddie Edwards...Davey made a pin save and suddenly hit Jake with a Siato suplex....followed by a back breaker..then a great double team powerbomb onto the knees by the Wolves.

Dave Crist made the save but Davey got him down quickly with a spin kick right into a shooting star press for the victory

TEKESHI MORISHIMA /TAJIRI defeated STEVE CORINO/RODERICK STRONG
Morishima/Tajiri head into the finals of the number #1contender Tag Team Tournament on the next card with a ton of momentum with a very hard fought victory against the make shift team of Corino/Roderick Strong who impressed many as Corino went once again to the nail with his long time rival Morishima...but..it was Tajiri who got the W with a tremendous Buzz Saw Kick onto Roderick Strong

*DESPITE THE LOSS...STRONG AND CORINO SHOOK HANDS AFTER THE MATCH AS THE CROWD CHEERED THERE EFFORT*

It came down to the TRADITION Champion's tag team partner Claudio Castagnoli and the man Chris Hero beat for the title Chris Benoit

No matter what the outcome of this match Benoit has a title match scheduled for Card #80..but the crippler is looking to add another title shot...but it was Double C who came out victorious in this hard hitting affair thanks to two consecutive Ricola Bomb finisher!

THE SHOW BEGAN OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING AS HARLEY RACE AND KURT ANGLE SEEMED TO BE HAVING A HEATED ARGUMENT...WHEN SUDDENLY THE ROCKWHO RETURNED AND HIT A ROCK BOTTOM ON RACE STRAIGHT DOWN ON THE CONCRETE!

THE ROCK GAVE THE PEOPLES EYEBROW TO ANGLE WHO WAS IN SHOCK OVER WHAT JUST HAPPENED..AS THE ROCK GOT IN HIS CAR AND SPED AWAY....RACE WAS SCREAMING IN PAIN AS EMERGENCY PERSONAL CHECK ON THE INJURY TO THE MULTI TIME WORLD CHAMPION.

RACE THEN GOT LOADED INTO THE AMBULANCE THEN SPED OFF

BISON SMITH defeated RODERICK STRONG
Another hard hitting match between these two....back and fourth they went with chops and stiff punches and kicks...when suddenly STEVE CORINO came down to ringside to cheer on his newly formed tag team pairing with Strong...not to mention wanting Bison to get hurt..since it was Smith who put Corino on the shelf with a injury

Corino got a little to involved as he got on the apron and actually distracted Strong instead of Smith...the international star from Colorado took advantage by giving a vicious running power bomb to Strong to get the 3 count!!!

*AFTER THE MATCH CORINO TRIED TO EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENED BUT STRONG DID NOT WANT TO HEAR IT..AND SUDDENLY NAILED CORINO WITH A VICIOUS YAKUZA KICK!!!...THEN TOOK HIM OUT OF THE RING AND SLAMMED THE KING OF OLD SCHOOLS HEAD SEVERAL TIMES INTO THE STEEL POST BUSTING HIM OPEN

ERICK STEVENS defeated GRAN AKUMA
A very competitive match up between these to young stars but in the end it was Stevens over powering strength and surviving a bow and arrow and getting the victory with a devastating Dr. Bomb

CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI and CHRIS BENOIT battled to a DOUBLE DQ
The two number 1 contenders for the TRADITION championship went back and fourth in a terrific matchup...Benoit thanks to a diving head butt thought he had the match won...but Claudio survived...who then got Benoit up in the big airplane spine right into a vicious European uppercut!

Benoit fell to the concrete and Claudio came after him and the two battled outside the ring.....both grabbed a chair and used it on each other causing the official to call for the disqualification

# 1 CONTENDER TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT
FINALS

TEKESHI MORISHIMA/TAJIRI defeated THE AMERICAN WOLVES
A tremendous hard hitting match that went close to 25 minutes....but it was Harry Smith who showed up threw the crowd and who came down to ringside staring a hole right at Davey Richards that tipped the favor to Morishima and Tajiri

With Edwards a bloody mess trading open palm strikes with Morishima..while Richards and Smith were trash talking...Tajiri came up from behind and with a BUZZ SAW KICK nailed Richards on the side of his head...knocking him out for the 3 count and victory
and now look forward to a TRADITION tag team championship match

"I am gonna get right to the point on this 2 year celebration of TRADITION....the Rock has got places to go and fine ass mamma's to do...but first thing is first...time to care of some business...KURT ANGLE all week all I am hearing through the grapevine is you whinning and bitching...moaning and groaning...how the Rock stole your thunder...how the Rock retired that piece of trash Harley Race from a wrestling ring before you could get oyur hands on him

Well the way the Rock see's it...your gold medal ass should be on your hands and knees polishing the Rocks golden globes...because the way I see it...I just saved your ass...now trust me the Rock dosn't think to highly of that jabroni Race..but the Rock knows one damn thing...that Harley would whip your monkey ass all over this ring Angle...so Mr American gold medalist quit whining like a little bitch...know your role and shut your damn mouth!!!!!!

SUDDENLY

STORMS INTO THE RING AND THE MATCH WAS ON!

THE ROCK defeated KURT ANGLE
Back and fourth these two former rivals went..with Angle getting the upper hand early which led to Olympic slam early in the match..but the great one was able to escape... Angle showed great resolve as he was able to escape from two consecutive Rock Bottom's but not three as the Rock gets the victory!

*AFTER THE MATCH THE ROCK DOSN'T EVEN CELEBRATE A BIG WIN AS HE SUDDENLY JUST LEFT THE BUILDING

EDDIE EDWARDS defeated RODERICK STRONG and ERICK STEVENS
Physical hard hitting triple threat match which saw several near falls for all three combatants....STEVE CORINO suddenly came down to ringside as security came storming down to stop him from going after Roderick...and as that was going on Edwards caught Stevens with a chin checker for the win

TRADITION TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
(C) FURNAS/KROFFAT defeated MORISHIMA/TAJIRI
The challengers really controlled the match throughout...but one mistake led to the Champions being able to retain...Tajiri missed a running knee smash in the corner letting Furnas recover and connect with a nasty German suplex with a bridge to get the victory

TRADITION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
(C) CHRIS HERO defeated CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI
Great respect from these tag team partners as they shook hands before the match...but as the match continued for nearly 30 minutes there were some heated moments...and several near falls but in the end Hero once again retained thanks to his HEROES WELCOME finisher!

*AFTER THE MATCH WITH THE FANS GIVING BOTH A STANDING OVATION AND CHRIS BENOIT LOOKING ON FROM THE ISLE WAY...THE KINGS SHOOK HANDS IN A GREAT SHOW OF RESPECT

THE SHOW BEGINS WITH THE ROCK COMING DOWN TO THE RING DRESSED IN STREET CLOTHES AND WITH NO MUSIC.....HE STEPS INTO THE RING AND WAITS FOR HIS OPPONENT....THE FANS CHANT HIS NAME BUT HE DOES NOT RESPOND...

TEKESHI MORISHIMA defeated THE ROCK
In a unbelievable turn of events as Morishima stood in the ring face to face with the Rock...the Great One just smiled and fell to the mat!....

The fans in shock just booed and started throwing trash in the ring...Morishima also with a look of shock on his face..after a few moments ended up covering Rock for the 1-2-3!

*AFTER THE MATCH..THE ROCK STOOD UP LOOKED UP AT MR BENNETT AND POINTED TO THE CROWD...TOOK OFF HIS BLACK SILK DRESS SHIRT TO UNCOVER A NWF SHIRT!!!

THEN THE ROCK FLIPPED MR BENNETT AND THE CROWD OFF....DAVEY RICHARDS AND EDDIE EDWARDS CAME INTO THE RING..TO CONFRONT ROCKY...WHEN RICHARDS ASKED WHAT THE HELL THE PEOPLES CHAMP WHAT HE WAS DOING...THE ROCK JUST SMIRKED AND SAID HE WAS DONE WASTING HIS TIME WITH THE LIKES OF YOU (WOLVES)

THE ROCK THEN LEFT THE ARENA WITH TRASH AND GARBAGE BEING THROWN AT HIM!

MR BENNETT CAME DOWN FROM THE VIP BOX AND INTO THE RING...AND TALKED WITH THE WOLVES..THE WOLVES AND MR BENNETT THEN WENT TO MORISHIMA WHO AFTER A FEW MINUTES SEEMED TO AGREE WITH THEM....SUDDENLY MR. BENNETT SHOOK HANDS WITH EVERYONE IN THE RING AND TOLD THE TIME KEEPER TO RING THE BELL!

EDDIE EDWARDS and TEKESHI MORISHIMA went to a COUNT OUT
A new match booked on the spot to open the show...and what a match it was with these two athletes going back and fourth...Morishima really took advantage of the power advantage he had over Eddie..but Edwards fought back in a big way and was able to get the former TRADITION Champion down thanks to a stiff kick to the back of his head....with his partner Davey Richards looking on...Edwards nearly got the victory with a thunderous German Suplex and bridge!!!

As the match continued the action spilled to the outside as Eddie and Morishima battled to the nail at ringside...both men laying in heavy blows...during this...on the other side of the ring...Harry Smith came from the crowd and attacked Davey Richards with a steel chair!!

Smashing the chair right in the face of the American Wolf...busting him badly open...and continued the assault by smashing his face and head into the steel post three straight times!

The referee still handling the battle between Edwards and Morishima saw non of this..as he counted both men out...Edwards as he recovered and saw his friend and his tag team partner lay in a bloody heap!.....EMTS rushed to ringside and had trouble stopping the bleeding from Richards forehead and face!....Davey was put on a stretcher and into an ambulance to be taken to the local hospital!

TRADITION TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
(C) FURNAS/KROFFAT defeated THE KINGS OF WRESTLING
Chris Hero looked to become the very first double champion in TRADITION history ..but it was not ment to be as the Tag Champions of Furnas and Kroffat held off the Kings of Wrestling in a terrific match...which saw Chris Benoit come down to the ringside area and watch as he continues to prepare and scout for his big TRADITION Championship re-match on Card #80

Thanks to a picture perfect super kick on Castagnoli followed by a knee strike..the offense of Kroffat knocked Double C out of the ring...and Furnas was able to pin the TRADITION Champion thanks to his Frankenstiener finisher!

GRAN AKUMA defeated JIMMY JACOBS
Very competitive match up between these two with Akuma getting the victory at the 12:33 mark of the match as Jacobs went for an elbow off the top rope and missed which led to Akuma to connect with his YOSHI TONIC finisher!

GRUDGE MATCH
STEVE CORINO defeated RODERICK STRONG
One of the most brutal, pure physical matches you will ever want to see..as Corino looked for revenge for the man that tried to put him out in Roderick Strong..it took nearly 30 minutes to do so but after the King of Old School survived 2 Gibson Drivers and numerous backbreakers by Strong...Corino got his revenge after a Victory Plex that went wrong..which landed Strong right on the back of his head instead of on his back!

Corino covered him quickly after that devastating move to get the 3 count!

Solid match to open the show with some real heavy offense shown by both men....In the end because of a missed splash in the corner by Stevens, Harry was able to deliver a vicious running power slam for the hard fought victory
*AFTER THE MATCH THE AMERICAN WOLVES STORMED THE RING TRYING TO GET SMITH WHO QUICKLY ESCAPED THREW THE CROWD!

DAVEY RICHARDS TOOK THE MICROPHONE.....

"That's right Smith run like the little b*tch we know you are...don't think for one second I have forgotten what you did to me last month...your time is coming and when this wolf gets done with you your own daddy wont be able to recognize your sorry ass!

Which brings me to THE ROCK....talk about b*tches...you Duane are the poster child...I know we have gone back and forth a bit..at GUT CHECK...but you know TALK IS CHEAP...if we ever see you step foot in this ring again....you will be leaving in a body bag....that is not a threat it is just a promise!

2 OUT OF 3 FALLS CHALLENGE MATCH
CHRIS BENOIT defeated KURT ANGLE (2 FALLS TO 0)
In his final singles match before his big title re-match with Chris Hero on Card #80 Chris Benoit quite frankly made it look easy against Kurt Angle..beating him for the first fall at 11:34 of the match with a diving headbutt off the top rope....then being able to survive 2 Olympic slams and get the second fall via a tremendous German Suplex and bridge catching Angle coming out of the corner!

*AFTER THE MATCH AS BENOIT WAS CELEBRATING...ANGLE WAS FURIOUS AS HE LEFT THE RING!

6 MAN TAG TEAM MATCH
BISON SMITH/MISAWA/GREAT MUTA defeated THE KINGS OF WRESTLING/STEVE CORINO
Tremendous match with hard hitting action especially when Corino and Bison Smith were toe to toe..both men bloody and beaten thanks to the other...in the end it was Misawa getting the pin over the TRADITION Champion Chris Hero after the Emerald Fusion finisher...Muta also had a very solid showing against the champion setting up Misawa to hit his finisher after connecting with his spring board back moonsault!

*IT WILL BE INTERESTING TO SEE IF THIS LOSS HAS AN EFFECT ON THE CHAMPION AS CARD #80 APPROACHES AND THE RED HOT CHRIS BENOIT LOOKS TO REGAIN THE TRADITION TITLE

KARL GOTCH (SWEET SCIENCE 16 WINNER) defeated GO SHIOZAKI (IN HONOR OF TRADITION WINNER)

Go had the early advantage with several vicious knee strikes and lariats but in the end it was the ground game and submission style of Karl Gotch the victory thanks to his step over toe hold which eventually Go had no choice but to tap out to

DAVEY RICHARDS defeated HARRY SMITH
Great way to start off this event...a lot of history between these two who finally are able to settle the score.

Smith started out quick with a lot of power moves including a running powerslam...Richards barely recovered..some might think with all that is surrounding him...the ongoing battle of words with the ROCK...and now getting involved in a feud with Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard that the American Wolf is running himself thin.

However despite talking a ton of punishment in this match..he proved the so called experts wrong and stayed on the winning track thanks to his DR DRIVER for the hard fought victory!

TEKESHI MORISHIMA defeated EDDIE EDWARDS
The other half of the American Wolves tag team Eddie Edwards did not fair as well as Davey Richards did...although is was a very physical match..and Edwards had great chances to get the pin but just could not hold the former TRADITION down long enough for the 3 count.

Morishima with a tremendous splash followed by a belly to belly suplex out of the corner...not only got the 3 count but might have did some major damage to the ribs of Edwards who needed help to the back

TRADITION TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
(C) FURNAS/KROFFAT defeated ICARUS/GRAN AKUMA
Furnas and Kroffat continue to show they are indeed fighting champions giving the young upstart team of Icarus and Akuma who have had great success in GUT CHECK a shot.

Solid back and fourth action with several near falls..great pace to the match..which saw the champs get into some trouble thanks to Akuma's Yoshi Tonic..but Kroffat kicked out and after a hard hitting affair with Akuma with open hand strikes was able to get him up with Furnas for their Mile High Lariat finisher for the victory.

*AFTER THE MATCH BOTH TEAMS SHOOK HANDS IN A GREAT SHOW OF RESPECT

GRUDGE MATCH

CHRIS JERICHO defeated BRYAN DANIELSON
The American Dragon was looking for revenge on the man who attacked him after the IN HONOR OF TRADITION TOURNAMENT..and for nearly 25 minutes he went to the nail with that man Chris Jericho...tremendous chain and counter wrestling which had the fans on the edge of their seats for the entire match....Jericho was in serous trouble as he got caught in CATTLE MUTALATION but was able to reach the ropes by stretching out his leg....Jericho continued to take a lot of punishment...but refused to stay down

As Dragon was coming off the top rope for a missile dropkick Jericho moved then came off the ropes with a picture perfect Lionsault...then right into the walls of Jericho...and after several minutes of trying to escape..but unable to Danielson had no choice but to tap out!
