Is it just me or is the NFL sending the wrong message by suspending players who test positive for allergy pills for 4 games and then suspending Rice for only 2 after he beats his fiancee, who was smart enough to marry him AFTER???

For a league that prides itself on breast cancer awareness to basically look the other way on domestic violence is no pun intended, a slap in the face. I love Roger Goodell as a commissioner, but he really dropped the ball here.

He was legally charged with assault(iirc). If that happened to me I would probably be FIRED. I'm not sure though. I feel if the law punishes someone, does everybody else get also? In this case, it being a violent crime, I say yes. It's a hard spot to be in. Especially with so much money involved. I'm not letting the NFL off the hook. I totally agree with the hypocrisy here. Supporting causes and being charitable is purely a PR move for them. That they pretend to care is insulting in cases like this. They are about the bottom line. Don't fool yourself by thinking otherwise.

i'm guessing Goodell was swayed by the time he spent with Rice and his wife, and now regrets the soft suspension.
