Evolve is great because we get to work with both really well known guys (Roddy, Black, Drew, Hero) and somewhat obscure guys (Zack Sabre, Timothy Thatcher) at the same time, which is really fun and challenging for both art and stats. Props to Todd for heading a very long and muddy process that cranked out IMO a 5 star, must have set. Evolve 1 was almost impossible to live up to, but I think Evolve 2 does it. What really drew me to the starter set was for the wrestlers I really didn't know much about (obscure) and the others I did, plus I really like the background of the fed and this is why I've enjoyed running my fed for Four Game Years going into my Fifth Year and closing in on a Full Real Year. I agree with Swarm that EVOLVE 2 is a 5 star set and I am amp'd to get the set and to add these cards to my fed. I want to thank Todd and everyone else for working on EVOLVE 1 and EVOLVE 2... |

There was awhile there where we didn't know who the last 4 were gonna be, then Todd managed to snag PJ BLACK in what was IMO a major grab (considering the timing, Todd acted w -5 agility). Then we discussed Roddy, who was actually penciled in for ROH this summer. We decided instead to move Strong up to EVOLVE. I love the ROH art, but I can see how it's so unique that others might not. I like his new art better, for what it's worth. Amazing job to Werner putting that shirt on him from scratch. Now we have 2 awesome Roddy cards and that spot made room for someone else in ROH.
anyways, great fun working w Ricky and Vegas on stats. Working w Werner is almost telepathic for us by now. It's next level, nothing like work. We always catch up on life, it's awesome. You can see in these sets how much fun went into making them.

Very nice! The artwork just keeps getting better and better with every set, IMO... And that's saying quite a bit, considering how awesome it was to start with...
Gotta say... Chris Hero is looking pretty ominous in the background there...
