Got my package in the mail today of the first Olde Wrestling show on DVD. Nice little package of goodies. With the DVD's were a Marion Fontaine sticker, a set of buttons (Dasher Hatfield, Thunder Kitty, Jervis Cottonbelly, & Matt Cross). Also a little card of the roster. I've watched the first couple of matches and this is a fun, well thought out production. Everything but the matches is filmed in grainy black & white which is really cool. I only wish the matches were that way as well. Anyone who might be interested in this should give it a shot. $20.95 postage paid is not a bad price. And who doesn't want a Dasher Hatfield pin?

That is an awesome DVD case, picture, etc. Really adds to the product.

This Olde Wrestling Extravaganza set needs more cards, but it's a great start. We went to the show Sunday and it was incredibly fun. There's a lot of little touches, like giving us "fancy" hats as we walked in and small signs to hold up (one side reading "Hurrah!", the other side "Hogwash!"), to the way the ring area and curtain were set up, to the live band playing ragtime music....really great work by all involved in making this more than just a wrestling event. Now we just need more of the roster for the cards...Hint hint

Not quite sure what I'll be doing with these guys...figure the "style" of wrestling is probably most suited for ROH or Evolve, yet the "presentation" and appearance screams Chikara.

Matt Cross has also spent time in ROH and CZW. Yeah, he's going in ROH/EVOLVE.
