I hope Lucha is able to return for a second season. It is the best thing going in wrestling today. A unique and different approach to the genre that was much needed. What makes it different is that it is not a wrestling show, it is a show about wrestling, which is far from what we are used to. That being said though, they back up their unconventional approach with great ring action and story telling. Their stories followed the normal writing process of having a beginning, a middle and an end. They never rushed things or dropped angles when the ideas ran out. They were able to push individuals without burying anyone or making any one look weak, even while suffering a loss. It was all strategically planned out with much forethought. These are all characteristics that the top promotions of today have forgotten and severely lack. Even if they are unable to return, hopefully this shows that the status quo in wrestling doesn't have to continue; that there are new and innovative things that can still be done, and maybe, just maybe someone can see that and continue down the right path. Lucha Underground has renewed my faith in this business, which has been at an all time low for quite some time now.

I am only on episode 18, so I try to avoid this thread to some degree (don't want any spoilers)... But, I had to chime in after reading the post by Doc... For those who like their wrestling to be rich in story-telling, this is perhaps the BEST product I've ever seen! And that's not even taking into account that these Luchadors are simply phenomenal athletes... Wow! Lucha Underground has not only become my favorite wrestling show of all-time... It is very swiftly becoming one of my favorite programs, of any genre... Recently, I've found myself ignoring other shows I need to get caught up on (such as Turn, The Strain and True Detective), just so I can binge my way through Lucha Underground... And to think, if it wasn't for Filsinger Games and this awesome community, I never would've known it existed... Crazy!

I am not a fan of LU. I will give it credit for being very innovative, especially as wrestling is flooded by the currently bland WWE Universe. I am not sure what the future for LU holds, but it had made an interesting mark.

I'm happy to find that my cable has the last 3 or 4 weeks on demand. Watched the episode with Team Alberto vs Team Mundo. Gonna catch up on rest tonight or this weekend. Including the first part of Ultima Lucha which I pretty much missed all of.
I do see them getting a second season. If for no other reason to make Rodriguez happy. Not sure if he is involved with their Dusk to Dawn series but I assume so. So I think El Ray will give LU time to grow, if it isn't where they want it to be, so they can keep working with and get his projects.
Not sure about anyone else but I have sent a letter to LU to offer my services in a match. I will gladly job, with no pay, as long as it is to Mil Muertes resulting in Catrina giving me the lick of death. mmm mmm

It is so very cool to see this year's BOLA include guys such as Aero Star and Pentagon Jr.!

Lucha Underground is getting a second season. The show blows WWE out of the water in every way. The storytelling is simple to the point but still riveting and told in and out of the ring. Their Ultima Lucha event/finale was better than the last five Wrestlemania's put together. WWE Creative could learn a thing or two on how to present wrestling on television. Leave it to Robert Rodriguez and crew to make a solid action adventure wrestling drama and do it right.
I'm all in and can wait for season 2.
Filsinger Games needs to make contact with these cats because I want official Vampiro, Drago and Mil Muertes cards stat! I can already imagine Werner's fantastic artwork plastered all over a Season 1 set. Let's make this happen.

I watched Ultima Lucha again last night on my DVR instead of watching Raw. It marks the third week in a row that I skipped Raw and I do not regret it, because as usual, I did not miss a thing. I would love to see a LU set. Hopefully that is something that can happen soon.
