Just finished the first episode. Striker is great on commentary. I'm not sold on Vampiro yet, but I think he has potential. The editing is way to frenetic for my taste. The longest shot was shorter than most bull rides; as in eight seconds. The cinematic stuff for the backstage segments... Well, it's different. I don't hate it, but I don't like it yet either. Did not care much for the ending with the run in by Ezekel Jackson and ... Two Homicide cos-players?

I do find it odd that so many people are praising Chavo yet when he first entered TNA people were bashing him like crazy... before he even wrestled or gave one promo. People bashed TNA for even signing him.
I've always been a fan of his so I have no problem in Lucha Underground and I was happy when he first entered TNA. I still have yet to check out Lucha Underground. I had better do it soon before I get too far behind.

I've been a fan of Chavo's and I've always thought he is better as a heel, so this run so far in LU to me is a fun one. Lucha Underground is something fresh with it's style of television production and it has been fun to watch. Nothing is perfect, but LU for an hour so far has been fun stuff...

I'm hearing enough positive stuff about it to know that I should be checking it out. Wrestling should be fun, shouldn't have to be so serious and also shouldn't have to be dumbed down. This sounds like they're trying to carve out their own little niche in the wrestling world, which is exactly the right approach.

So on the Alberto Del Rio Rumors/News...
I'd like to see him focus on Lucha Underground, LU to me is far better than TNA (TNA in January will be on Destination America and I guess a guy like ADR could be huge for TNA's new tv deal) and I think LU could use a big name like ADR and use him in a better way...

TNA is going to be on one of the Discovery Channel channels? Crazy. Yeah. They'll fit in great with bigfoot and ghost hunters. LOL

TNA is going to be on one of the Discovery Channel channels? Crazy. Yep. They announced it today. I honestly don't think there are too many networks looking to pair with TNA, so Discovery Communications at least for a couple of years is the new home for Impact Wrestling in January...

King Cuerno seems like he's going to be pretty good. I find it a little odd that LU builds up people up in the vignettes only to have them lose in their first match, like Sexy Star and now King Cuerno. Didn't Mil Muertes already lose a match as well?
Even so, I'm still digging the show. I was never a fan of John Morrison/Johnny Mundo when he was with the E but I'm digging him in Lucha Underground. I wouldn't mind having LOW cards for some of these guys.
Also, are they ever going to crown a champion on TV? I read that Prince Puma has the belt but they haven't even mentioned a title yet.

I find that odd as well, it sucks the life out of any build. They also spent time on a long vignette for Chavo during the first episode only to have him lose to Blue Demon Jr. right away. It makes me wonder why a fan should get emotionally invested in a wrestler who is going to lose.
Warts and all, I am glad LU is around. It gives the wrestlers a new place to work and exposure they might not otherwise receive.
