NEWS::: Connor Locke,
aCe ESSENCE CHAMPION, secured the highly coveted
CWA UNIVERSAL TITLE with decisive wins over
GWF CHAMPION Tauran, and
GWFZ CHAMPION Pride. When asked for comment, Locke responded "In the Citadel, our expectation is excellence. Not only have I attained top tier excellence in the aCe, but also over every other promotion in the
CWA. I'm the best in the universe right now, and it feels great!"
:: Another earthquake, this one much stronger than the last, shook Centropolis and destroyed about 25% of the city. Centra officials are gravely concerned about the increasing severity and frequency of earthquakes. Aid teams moved into the area within hours of the quake and work diligently to care for those in need. More on this situation as it develops.
:: Drug screens of Aaron Kavo revealed high, but apparently natural, levels of norepinephrine, but no measurable levels of steroid metabolites. Centra scientists and doctors feel that these levels are naturally occurring and are not artificially enhanced. When approached for comment, Aaron Kavo responded: "Like I told you, the only thing I'm juiced with is adrenaline. Find a new story to report on - I'm clean!"
:: Centra Space Agency has detected a lone starship approaching Centra from the outer rim of the solar system. Officials have indicated that this ship is not the Ravager Mothership returning, but is instead significantly smaller in size. More details to follow as more detailed sensor information becomes available.
CWA UNIVERSAL CHAMPION and
aCe ESSENCE CHAMPION Connor Locke appears at the top of the ramp with a belt draped over each shoulder. He slowly makes his way into the ring, climbs to the top turnbuckle and raises both belts overhead in a triumphant display of accomplishment.
"Clearly, the entire universe is envious of my accomplishments. This
UNIVERSAL TITLE indicates my supremacy in the universe."
Neuromancer appears at the top of the ramp - interrupting the
UNIVERSAL CHAMPION.
"It is not envy or avarice that I experience when I consider your accomplishments Locke." Neuromancer stifles a yawn. "It is boredom honestly. When exactly are you going to shut up and stop going on and on about your surprising accomplishments?"
Locke shoulders his titles again and drops back into the ring. "Bring your ass into this ring and let's see how much trouble running your mouth has got you into."
aCe ESSENCE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCHCONNOR LOCKE (c) (c) vs. NEUROMANCER:: Neuromancer slid under Locke's initial attack and went to work. A quick Neowave...1...2...2 3/4...NO! Neuromancer gave Locke control with a missed deathjump, but a missed turnbuckle charge by the champion gave control right back. Neuromancer smashed Locke into the ringside steps all around the ring, but Locke anticipated the attack and sent Neuromancer into the ringside fence instead. Back into the ring for
LOCKDOWN...Neuromancer tapped!
CONNOR LOCKE (c) (c) def. NEUROMANCERAfter the match, GWF superstar Tauran enters ringside through the crowd and slides into the ring behind Connor Locke - the crowd is going nuts, and Locke believes the pop is for him and raises both his titles into the air in response - Tauran turns Locke around, kicks him in the stomach, and delivers a VICTORY STAR DROP. Both belts go flying and Tauran gets down in Locke's face.
"Next week champ, it will be you vs. me for the
UNIVERSAL TITLE!"
Centropolis City, Hoodlum is tagging the side of a building, Mack Calibur stands watch, and Hustler observes with his arms crossed."Time has come for us to cause a ruckus boys."
Hustler's comment brings Hoodlum's attention from his work."What did you have in mind?"
Hoodlum turns back to his work and Calibur approaches."Would you hurry up man, time is short - we need to go."
Hoodlum waves him away, intent on finishing his Blue Steel Posse piece.From out of the shadows, The Coven attacks suddenly.Garret Lockley blasts Hustler with a pipe, Wyatt Granger crushes Hoodlum into the wall - smearing his work terribly, and Harrow Dirk drops Mack Calibur with a vicious low blow from behind.CENTROPOLIS STREET FIGHTTHE COVEN vs. BLUE STEEL POSSE:: Wyatt Granger smashed Hoodlum around the alley, but went down under a double clothesline. Hoodlum took over, hit
CHAOS THEORY twice,
SOMATO once - Granger was out cold.
:: Harrow Dirk grabbed Calibur and drove him face first into the wall. Calibur overpowered Dirk and blasted him with a series of uppercuts and put him out with
BUCKSHOTS. WOW!
:: Garret Lockely smashed Hustler with the pipe three more times, then added
DARK TIMES twice for the win.
:: Mack Calibur charged Lockley, but Lockley flattened him with a shoulder tackle. Lockley hit
DARK TIMES twice and Calibur was out too.
:: Garret Lockley ducked a clothesline from Hoodlum and put him on the ground with a sidewalk slam, but Hoodlum sprayed paint in Lockley's eyes to get free and hit
CHAOS THEORY. Hoodlum pressed in, but Lockley overpowered him and slammed him to the concrete several times before hitting
DARK TIMES. Lockley went in for the kill, but Hoodlum drove a boot into his groin and hit
CHAOS THEORY one more time to secure the win.
Hoodlum helps Mack Calibur back to his feet and together they drag Hustler away, leaving The Coven unconscious in the alley.BLUE STEEL POSSE def. THE COVEN (3-2)In a dark graveyard, Witchdoctor watches Evil Dead and Blood Thirst drag a body from a freshly opened grave. Without hesitation Witchdoctor knees beside the body and pours a foul potion into the corpse's mouth. After a few seconds, the corpse sounds like it takes a deep breath and it sits up."Tell me spirit, where is the key?"
Witchdoctor demands of the corpse, but there is no immediate answer."Master, the spirit is compelled to answer if it has knowledge of what you ask."
Blood Thirst whispers, but Witchdoctor waves him away."Where is the key spirit? Murdok lives and time wastes!"
The spirit whispers - its last breath drawn in at reanimation. "The key lies with the Priest."
Witchdoctor hits the corpse with DEATH'S SPECTRUM and it bursts into flames. Within moments, Crusade is leaving the graveyard."The time has come for Murdok's return, we need only open the door to unleash damnation upon the universe once more."
Witchdoctor proclaims, "We need only find Shepard now." -
Evil Dead doesn't seem to care, as if he expected this all along, but nobody bothered to ask him.Members of Force Three lounge in the VIP section of a Tarkania night club, the Shadowclan attacks.SHADOWCLAN vs. FORCE THREE:: Skulk spears Donovan Rask backwards out of his chair, but finds himself locked in an arm-triangle choke. Rask smashes Skulk repeatedly in the face as he chokes him unconscious. Rask adds
DOOMSDAY twice for good measure.
:: Arios gets the drop on Dalton Sands with a flying enzigiri, then plants Sands with a front face piledriver. In serious trouble, Arios adds three quick
EQUALIZERS to put Sands down for the count.
:: Aaron Kavo seeks Hijack's attack and rolls with it, driving repeated elbows into Hijack as they go over in a heap. Kavo hits a belly-to-belly suplex through a glass top coffee table, and finishes with two savage
KAVO BOMBS.
:: Arios superkicks Aaron Kavo, but Donovan Rask spears Arios to the ground and showers him with punches while Kavo recovers. Together, they pull Arios into a combination
DOOMSDAY / KAVO BOMB...BOOM!
As the bouncers carry out the Shadowclan trash, Force Three gets back to business as the ladies flock towards the dominant performance. Dalton Sands comes back around with two beautiful ladies parked on his lap, kissing his cares away.FORCE THREE def. SHADOWCLAN (3-1)The Rose Garden, Pendragon is speaking with an unknown gentlemen."If you wish to change the dynamics of Wetworks, then you have my support."
The unknown man puts a hand on Pendragon's shoulder. "A couple names have come to my attention recently - Battalion and Castle."
"I've never heard of them."
Pendragon responds. "Are they capable?"
"I have not evaluated them personally. I am told that they are from Titan."
Pendragon considers this carefully. "Titans on Centra? I never thought the day would come."
The two men shake hands, but the unknown man does not release Pendragon's hand."Time is running out, we must be ready!"
He insists before releasing Pendragon."I'm doing the best I can - an Army of One will only get you so far - I need support."
Pendragon replies."I will arrange for you to meet with Battalion and Castle in the next couple weeks."
Pendragon nods in response."Remember," the man adds, "the
ESSENCE is integral to our success."
Pendragon again nods in response and turns to leave.aCe ESSENCE TAG-TEAM TITLES MATCHPRIMEVAL DESTRUCTION (c) vs. DEAD RISING:: Hybrid overpowered Blood Thirst and tossed him across the ring. Blood Thirst charged right back in and the fight went back and forth. Finally, Hybrid press slammed Blood Thirst over the top rope and Evil Dead entered the match.
:: Evil Dead smashed into Hybrid in a wicked attempt to dominate the monster, but it was not to be, Hybrid was too strong. Hybrid grabbed Evil Dead in a vicious face claw, tossed him into his corner and pinned him there until Warfare entered the ring.
:: Evil Dead went for a clothesline - no effect - Warfare nearly decapitated him with a clothesline from hell and adds a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker for good measure.
EXTINCTION LEVEL EVENT...Primeval Destruction retain the ESSENCE in dominant fashion.
PRIMEVAL DESTRUCTION (c) def. DEAD RISINGIn the outlying regions of the solar system, Shepard closes on discovering the force that caused him to leave the aCe in the first place. An alien menace that is erasing the fabric of existence in this dimension. He carefully examines the edge of nothing - observing that reality is slowly unraveling from the borders of the dimension inward. The center of the dimension is Centra - all indications point towards the entity moving steadily towards the aCe.
"It's only a matter of time now." Shepard admits. "I must stop him at all costs, or everything is lost."
