Thanks for the comments fellas! RING OF HONOR Television Taping #8 February 25, 2015 San Antonio Shrine Auditorium San Antonio,TexasSteve Carino versus Rhett TitusCorino used foreign objects on several occasions and Titus was on the receiving end for the entirity of the match. After toying with his opponent, Steve Corino used an OLD SCHOOL LARIAT and had his hand raised in victory. (* 1/2). Jimmy Jacobs versus El GenericoThe luchadore quickly went on the offensive and executed a BRAINBUSTAAAHHH!!! under a minute after the bell sounded. The referee slapped the mat three times and awarded the match to El Generico. (DUD). Young Bucks versus Future ShockThe duo of Future Shock simply beat the living daylights out of the Young Bucks. Nearly six minutes had passed before Adam Cole applied FLORIDA KEY finisher on Nick Jackson for the easy win. (****). Jay Lethal versus HomicideThese two battled back and forth with Lethal taking the brunt of offensive manuevers. "Black Machismo" made a comeback and stunned Homicide with LETHAL INJECTION for a near pinfall. Unfortunately for him, Homicide flattened him with a turnbuckle charge and followed up with an Ace Crusher for the duke. (****). C & C Wrestle Factory versus American WolvesAnother one sided match...this time, however, the referee suffered a bump and was out cold for a long stretch of time! Davey Richards used several set up manuevers before locking on the feared ANKLE LOCK on Coleman. Caprice fought vigorously to reach the ropes but couldn't endure the pain any longer and would tap out! (***). Roderick Strong versus Nigel McGuinessThe action was fast and furious with a lot of rope usage! On one occasion, Nigel came off the ropes with the REBOUND LARIAT that nearly ended the bout. Nevertheless, Strong's submission arsenal proved too much and he would submit to the STRONGHOLD finisher. (**). Briscoe Brothers versus World's Greatest Tag TeamA great match! A lot of finishers were employed and numerous nearfalls occurred but neither team could seemed to keep their opponent's shoulder down for the count! The match enventually digressed into a two-on-two battle on the arena floor and Mark Brisco was able to slip through the bottom rope to avoid being counted out- Shelton Benjamin was not so lucky! (****) ROH World Heavyweight Championship Non-Title MatchKevin Steen(ch) versus Mike MondoUmmm...Kevin Steen simply steamrolled Mondo with a running shoulder before powerbombing the challenger on the ring apron! The champion picked up the limp body of Mondo and performed the F-CINQ for the easy defense. (1/2 *). **MAIN EVENT** ROH World Tag Team Championship Tournament Rematch:House of Truth versus Tommassa Ciampa & Mike BennettOnce again....OMG! These two teams had a repeat performance of their last match up! Numerous near falls, awesome bumps, double team manuevers, and every single possible valet/bodyguard/manager interfering in the match. Finally, when the smoke cleared, Mike Bennett used PHOTO FINISH on Michael Elgin to become ROH World Tag Team Champions! Truth Martini was furious and argueing with the referee about a "fast count" but to no avail. Ciampa and Bennett stumbled back to the locker room with Maria holding the tag straps on her shoulders.(****) Thanks for joining us and hope to see you next time around.

Exciting, fast-paced action! Plenty of surprising results, but none perhaps more shocking than Ciampa & Bennett taking the tag straps... Honestly, never would've expected it... Solid stuff!

I liked how Homicide got the victory over Lethal and Strong's victory was solid, plus seeing Ciampa & Bennett taking the gold is golden...

Thanks for the comments fellas! RING OF HONOR Television Taping #9 March 4, 2015 Hopkins Eisenhower Community Center Hopkins, MinnesotaJimmy Jacobs versus Rhett TitusRhett Titus dove out of the squared circle like a mad man possessed and Jacobs had no answer for this! Rhett Titus would move the action back into the ring and execute an Inverted Overdrive for the three count. (** 1/2) Homicide versus Roderick StrongThe Mexican superstar controlled this bout from the bell and after a nasty GRINGO KILLAH- Homicide used a fork to garner the victory (**). American Wolves versus Young BucksThe Young Bucks came out quick and went for a couple of pin attempts but would not be able to keep the momentum! The American Wolves fired back and Davey Richards would deliver an Alarm Clock on Matt Jackson for the pin. (1/2 *). Mike Mondo versus Nigel McGuinessThere wasn't much to see in this match as both combatants kind of lumbered around for several minutes before Mondo ended the match with a jumping big boot. (* 1/2). Michael Elgin versus Mike BennettThese two are going to join their prospective partners at THE NEW ERA OF HONOR iPPV on the next card! This was a great match up as both participants used their finishers throughout the match! Maria, of course, interfered to break up a pin attempt by Elgin...Elgin stood up and argued with the diva manager! The House of Truth member would be pearl harbored by his opponent and then be the recipient of a superplex to end the bout. (****). Future Shock versus World's Greatest Tag TeamBenjamin and Haas demolished Future Shock! Shelton Benjamin delivered a flying lariat and delivered a PAYDIRT for the three count. (* 1/2). Jay Lethal versus El GenericoThe fans at ringside did not know who to cheer for most as the action see-sawed numerous times! Lethal delivered THREE LETHAL INJECTIONS in a row but El Generico was able to lift his shoulder of the mat! Shortly after, the Luchadore dropped his opponet with a SPIKE PILEDRIVER to have his hand raised in victory! (****). Rhino versus Tommaso CiampaThis was the opposite of their partner's previous contest on the card and Rhino tossed around Ciampa with ease! Rhino tossed his opponent over the top rope! Rhino kept the referee busy while Truth Martini choked out Ciampa with his ascot! When the referee turned around, he counted out the Sicilian and raised the "War MAchine's" hand in victory. The two teams split the series and will face off again at THE NEW ERA OF HONOR with a "Fight Without Honor" stipulation. (***). Briscoe Brothers versus C&C Wrestle FactoryNot a great match! C & C had absolutely NO offense during the match and the Briscoes brought the match to an abrupt end with a DOOMSDAY DEVICE on Cedric Alexander. (* 1/2). **MAIN EVENT**
ROH World Heavyweight Championship Non-Title MatchKevin Steen(ch) versus Steve CorinoSteve Corino took it to Steen and even withstood a F-CINQ but the S.C.U.M. member would be disqualified after he pushed the referee away when the official tried to seperate the two from a turnbuckle lock up. Now the question is, however, who will face the ROH World Champion at the iPPV? (** 1/2). Thanks for joining us and hope to see you next time around.

I'll bet Lethal vs. El Generico was quite the contest... And Corino did a great job up against Steen... Who will the ROH World Champion's next challenger be indeed? Good question...

Thanks for the comments Pariah! I finally got the chance to watch ROH live last weekend...and have to say...BAD ASS! I am done with WWE live shows...my youngest son met the VP of operations and he gave my boy a signed hat from ROH (I didn't know it was signed until we got home...by Jay Lethal (his favorite of all time)! "NEW ERA OF HONOR" Card#10 March 11, 2015 2300 Arena Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaKyle O'Reilly versus Rhett TitusO'Reilly tossed Titus around for the majority of the bout and caught Titus in a suicide plancha that made the ringside crowd erupt in approval! This would prevent Titus from reentering the ring and the ref had no other option but to give Rhett the twenty count. (* 1/2) S.C.U.M. (Jacobs/Carino) versus C&C Wrestle FactoryThe Wrestling Factory's losing streak continues! Carino and Jacobs tagged in and out several times while keeping Coleman cutoff from his partner. After only a few minutes, Jacobs landed the RAILROAD SPIKE for the three count. (*) Adam Cole versus Mike MondoMike Mondo looked flat this evening and unfortunately for him- Cole was on top of his game. After only a couple of minutes, Cole executed the FLORIDA KEY maneuver for the referee to slap the mat three times. (*) WGTT versus Young BucksThe Young Bucks were simply outclassed and were put out of their misery surprisingly quick after Shelton Benjamin used PAYDIRT on Matt Jackson. (1/2 *). Jay Lethal versus Roderick StrongThese two battled back and forth for quite some time and put on a show for the crowd at ringside (Finally, a decent match)! Lethal executed LETHAL INJECTION but Strong countered with a school boy that nearly got the three count. Shortly afterwards, Strong performed a superplex on Lethal out onto the concrete floor that would garner him a count out victory- due to Lethal unable to crawl back into the squared circle. (** 1/2) Briscoe Brothers versus American WolvesWith the Briscoes being the number one contenders and waiting for the ROH Tag Championships to be decided later on the card...it seemed like they didn't care much for this contest and used everything at their disposal including chairs, television cables, and whatever they get their hands on. The referee finally had enough and called for the bell after Mark Briscoe blasted Eddie Edwards with the ringside bell. The referee awarded the match to the American Wolves as a result of a disqualification! (*) El Generico versus Nigel McGuinessA great match! Both contestants pummeled the other for close to ten minutes with McGuiness able to counter the BRAINBUSTTTTAAAAHHHH!!!! on three separate occasions! It would be the Englishman who would have his hand raised in victory after he drilled the 'Mexican Luchadore' with a JAWBREAKER LARIAT. (***) ROH World Heavyweight Championship Title MatchKevin Steen(ch) versus HomicideBrutal! Steen annihilated Homicide quickly and effectively! After an early F-CINQ, Steen used a ring apron powerbomb and then executed a high-angle senton bomb for the easy defense! Can anyone stop this beast? (* 1/2) **MAIN EVENT**
ROH World Tag Team Championship Title Match Fight Without Honor MatchTommaso Ciampa & Mike Bennett(ch) versus House of TruthA fan-tastic main event! The match spilled in and out of the ring with several of the participants getting thrown into the ringside barrier (Fans chatted, "Throw over here!" several times) and numerous chair shots were both given and received by all! The House of Truth almost regained after Elgin used his SITDOWN POWERBOMB but bennett was able to lift his shoulders off the mat at the last possible time...on the other hand, Bennett caught Rhino in a PHOTO FINISH but Truth Mantini stuck his nose in the match to break up the count and would receive a military press slam out onto Elgin- who was on the arena floor! Finally, after nearly twenty five minutes, Ciampa used a twisting neckbreaker on Rhino to get the three count! Camp & Bennett retain the ROH World Tag Team Championships! (****) Thanks for joining us and hope to see you next time around.

Great to hear you and your son had such an awesome time at the ROH show... Hopefully, they'll pay a visit to my neck of the woods someday (tho' I ain't holding my breath)...
Looks like there were some brutal one-sided matchups going on... Certainly would've expected more out of Homicide, even if he didn't have what it takes to capture the World title... Super solid show!

Thanks for the comments Pariah! RING OF HONOR Television Taping #11 March 18, 2015 THE GATEWAY CENTER Collinsville,IlliinoisQT Marshall versus Mike MondoThese two opened the show with both taking some serious bumps! Marshall's debut match came to an end when he caught Mondo with a big boot and quickly followed up with GOD'S GIFT finisher for the duke. (DUD) Adrenaline Rush versus C & C Wrestle FactoryACH and TD Thomas thrilled the Gateway Center with their aerial maneuvers and showed promise in their debut match! ACH expoded right out of the gate with several BIG BANG ATTACKS on Cedric Alexander and it went down hill from there for the winless Wrestle Factory! After a failed pin attempt from a sunset lip, ACH dazzled the crowd with a suicide dive that would get the three count. (***) BJ Whitmer versus Rhett TitusNot much to see here as Titus spoiled Whitmer's debut and tossed him around like a rag doll. After only a few minutes, Rhett Titus executed a MUFF DRIVER for the duke. (* 1/2) reDRagon versus Young BucksYoung Bucks used their agility and several tag moves to keep the newly formed reDRagon duo on their heels but Nick Jackson would be caught in the FISH HOOK by Bobby Fish to end the bout. (****) Adam Cole versus Roderick StrongThe action went back and forth and neither seemed to gain the upperhand for nearly ten minutes. "The Messiah of the Backbreaker" blasted Cole with a SICK KICK and immediately locked on the STRONGHOLD. However, Cole had other plans and rolled out of the finishing hold and clamped Strong down with a school boy roll up for the three count. (***) American Wolves versus House of TruthThe House of Truth must have had championship remorse as the American Wolves dominated the two. The end of the match came, oly five minutes in, after Davey Richards landed a top rope suicida on Rhino and the War Machine was not able to crawl back into the ring. The American Wolves won the contest as a result of a count out. (****) Jay Lethal versus El GenericoA rematch from TV Taping #9 and this bout was just as close. However, same outcome as El Generico withstood a beating to mount a comeback! After two SPIKE BRAINBUSTERS, the 'Mexican Luchadore' , El Generico planted a BRAINBUSTAAAHHH!!! (+6) to cover Lethal for the pin. (** 1/2) World's Greatest Tag Team versus S.C.U.M. (Corino/Jacobs)Ummm...this particular match write up lasted longer than the match itself as Shelton Bejamin opened the contest with a T-Bone Suplex and then a PAYDIRT finisher for the easy win! Pathetic! (DUD) Nigel McGuinness versus HomicideBrutal! This match was awesome as both pulled out all the stops and numerous near pinfalls were made! After eleven minutes of nail biting action, Homicide landed a top rope 187 and covered Nigel for the victory. (****) ROH World Tag Team Championship Non-Title MatchTommaso Ciampa & Mike Bennett(ch) versus Briscoe Brothers(#1 ContendersIt would be hard to actually report who actually came out a winner in this match as both teams beat the tar out of one another! Numerous bumps and highlights and countless near falls. As the saying goes- all good things must end and that moment came after a suicide plancha by Mark Briscoe onto Ciampa on the outside of the ring! Mark Briscoe barely made it back into the squared circle but Tommasa (unfortunately for the champs) did not. The Briscoe's hands were raised in victory (as a result of a count out) and will face the champions for the gold on the next taping. (*** 1/2) **MAIN EVENT**
ROH World Heavyweight Championship Non-Title MatchKevin Steen(ch) versus Matt TavenWOW! Taven thumped the ROH Champion like no one has been able to do and for ninety-nine percent of the match- it was all Matt Taven! Finisher after finisher...near pinball after pinfall,,,high impact move after high impact move...Taven was not able to keep Steen's shoulders down! Taken become frustrated and tossed Steen into the ropes...Steen countered a running lariat with a fisherman buster on his knee! Steen (who had 8 tokens to Taven's 0) lifted up his opponent and dropped him with a F-CINQ! Truth Martini jumped up onto the ring apron only to be greeted with a fist to the face from Steen! The reigning champion picked up the challenger and once again brought him careening to the canvas with another F-CINQ for the unlikely defense. (****). Thanks for joining us and hope to see you next time around.

Very enjoyable show... Liked watching Adrenaline Rush get the win over C&C Wrestle Factory... And Cole vs/ Strong looked to be a really tight match...
WGTT's domination over S.C.U.M. was very impressive... Like how you summarized the result with a singel word... Pathetic, indeed...
How about Dem Boys? I'm thinking that Ciampa & Bennett should polish up those belts because they're soon going to have new owners... WOOHOO!
Amazing comeback by Kevin Steen to retain the big prize... Not sure what came as the bigger surprise... Steen recovering from that solid pounding... Or Taven's ability to administer it in the first place... WHAAAaaaT?
Lots of great action from start to finish!

Thanks again for the comments Pariah! RING OF HONOR Television Taping #12 March 25, 2015 SAM'S TOWN HOTEL & GAMBLING HALL Las Vegas, NevadaBJ Whitmer versus Mike MondoAll one sided action in the opening contest with Whitmer easily covering Mondo after an adrenaline spike for the victory. (*) C & C Wrestling Factory versus House of truth (Rhino/Elgin)Another one sided contest! The HoT easily continued the Wrestling Factory's winless record after Elgin used a SPINNING SIT-OUT POWERBOMB (1/2 *). Rhett Titus versus QT MarshallThe action went back and forth for a few minutes but it was obvious that Marshall was dealing the most punishment to the other combatant. After a failed turnbuckle charge, Marshall countered with a running powerslam for the win. (**) Adrenaline Rush versus Young BucksThe newly formed duo of ACH and TD continue to awe fans at ringside with their high flying antics and this match was no different as they easily ran circles around the Young Bucks! A few minutes into the match, ACH blasted Nick Jackson with a bicycle kick for the duke! (*) Roderick Strong versus Jay LethalA great match! Both participants countered one another's moves and had their opponent nearly pinned several times throughout. However, it would be Strong that would get the win after he locked on the STRONGHOLD submission maneuver. (***) reDRagon versus S.C.U.M.O'Reilly and Bobby Fish didn't even get the chance to via for the win because S.C.U.M. attacked them from behind while they were coming down to the squared circle. Jimmy Jacobs rolled a battered O'Reilly into the ring and then tosed him out onto the arena floor. The ref called for the bell and immediately gave the reDRagon member the twenty count. The official had no choice but to award the contest to the maniacal S.C.U.M. ( 1/2 *). Nigel McGuinness versus El GenericoThis match didn't come close to fulfilling it's potential as the "Mexican Luchadore" trounced the English born wrestler and covered him after a corkscrew moonsault to have the referee slap the mat three times. (*) World's Greatest Tag Team versus American WolvesMan...another stinker as the American Wolves made the WGTT look like rookies! After only four minutes, Eddie Edwards executed DIE HARD on Shelton Benjamin for the easy win. (* 3/4) Matt Tavern versus HomicideFINALLY! A great match up occurs! Tavern, who took the ROH Champion to limit in his debut match, would come out victorious after a hard fought fifeteen minute battle with a spinning neck breaker. (****) ROH World Tag Team Championship Title MatchTommaso Ciampa & Mike Bennett(ch) versus Briscoe BrothersThese two battled on last card with a hard fought spotfest! This bout was no different as both teams gave it their all with numerous near falls occuring and finishers galore being employed! However, it would be Mark Briscoe catching Mike Bennett in a CUT THROAT DRIVER to become ROH World Tag Champions!!!(** 1/2). **MAIN EVENT**
ROH World Heavyweight Championship Non-Title MatchKevin Steen(ch) versus Adam ColeNot even close! Steen pulverized Cole and dropped him early with a PACKAGE PILEDRIVER for the easy title defense. (1/2 *). Thanks for joining us and hope to see you next time around.
