Bummed that it is still being worked on as we approach the 1 year mark. That being said it has been good to get regular updates.
Hopeful and still excited.

Here is an update from Jeff Gutherz, who is coordinating the DVD and documentary:
One year has passed since the Great Galaxian Bash took Jamestown, NY by storm with the double-bill of Champions of the Galaxy: The Live Event and Legends of Wrestling SuperCard.
To have produced a show that gained a myriad of positive reactions from Filsinger Games faithful as well as those unfamiliar with the brand, was truly an honor.
Our intention was to not only bring something new and unique with this genre of “gritty-sci-fi wrestling,” but to also pay tribute to the Filsinger Games community by making it as close to canon as we could. We presented everything as family-friendly yet cutting-edge entertainment.
With only one event in the books, we haven’t begun to scratch the surface of what this Champions of the Galaxy: Live Event brand could be, but we have already begun to break barriers and establish our foothold in the live entertainment industry. Champions of the Galaxy: Live Event holds the accomplishment of being the only wrestling event that was held before a paying audience and produced by donations made through a successful Kickstarter campaign.
We created an appealing website that serves as a portal to the Champions of the Galaxy: Live Event brand. To attract new fans to the product, we have focused on the specific characters and storylines from the show rather than have them be overwhelmed by the expansive CotG Universe. Along with an online presence, we have launched a line of merchandise related to Champions of the Galaxy: The Live Event that offers fun items for fans of all ages.
Which brings me to an apology regarding our most important product, the DVD release; for months we have pushed deadlines further and further down the road. We know we sound like a broken record and for that we are sorry. I continue to work on the DVD with our post-production professional regularly and we are making significant headway in the progression of this project.
The immediate goal is to show a near-final version of the Champions of the Galaxy: The Live Event (and possibly the Legends of Wrestling SuperCard) at the professional wrestling and pop culture convention presented by Filsinger Games, Wrestling Geek Fest taking place in Strongsville, Ohio August 14-16, as well as the finalized documentary portion of the DVD.
During the Galacticon portion of Wrestling Geek Fest, the documentary series entitled, “Roll of the Dice: An Insider’s Look into the Champions of the Galaxy Story,” will be shown and feature over 45 minutes of film broken into three specific segments. This will feature interviews with creators, performers and fans along with behind the scenes footage shot the day of the event. Episode I: Champions of the Galaxy, Galacticon and Promoters Filmed during Galacticon 2013, these interviews feature fans of Filsinger Games (affectionately named Promoters) discussing what is Champions of the Galaxy, what makes their yearly convention special and what the CotG community means to them. Episode II: Creating the Live Event with Jeff & Todd This documentary highlight reel chronicles the journey of the two Event Organizers behind the Kickstarter campaign and production of Champions of the Galaxy: The Live Event, Jeff Gutherz and Todd Joerchel. Also, includes a behind-the-scenes montage and fan interviews post show. Episode III: Tom Filsinger Live Event Interview One day removed from the historic show, Champions of the Galaxy game creator, Tom Filsinger is interviewed by professional wrestling personality, Louden Noxious (sitting off camera) who gives his thoughts and feelings regarding Champions of the Galaxy: The Live Event.
In addition to the viewing at Wrestling Geek Fest, and once the DVD of Champions of the Galaxy: The Live Event and Legends of Wrestling has been completed, “Roll of the Dice: An Insider’s Look into the Champions of the Galaxy Story,” will be made available first to Kickstarter contributors on a separate disc featuring an exclusive game card. Following this release, it will be available to the public through the Fislinger Games Live Event Productions Youtube channel. Also appearing at the three day festival of wrestling matches, comedy and gaming aptly named Wrestling Geek Fest will be Champions of the Galaxy: The Live Event stars: the Gladiators of Aethra, Brute and Massacre! The “Post-Apocalyptic Head-Bangers” have promised that on August 15th they are coming to decimate every nerd, dork and geek in the Cleveland area and take over not only the convention, but Earth itself!
As the Champions of the Galaxy: The Live Event brand grows and expands brand awareness, we here at Filsinger Games Live Event Productions continue to make every attempt at meeting the expectations we set forth with the Kickstarter campaign that we ran last year and will continue to do so until complete satisfaction is given to our donors. We can expect the DVD to be wrapped up in the next couple of months and will continue to give updates when we can identify more concrete timetables.
Thanks to everyone who contributed for your patience. We can’t wait for the DVD to come out. It will definitely be worth the wait.
See you at Wrestling Geek Fest! Jeff Gutherz Creative Director Filsinger Games Live Event Productions

Hey guys, I have some good news on the progress of the project. The documentary has been finished, but the live event video had not progressed as fast under the old editor. We have since found a new video editor to help out with the visual effects and graphics. Based on the initial work he has shown us, the final video should look really cool, and worth the wait.
Just to give you a taste of what cool effects he can do, here is the latest trailer he did for Freelance Wrestling in Chicago.

Hey guys, the visual effects for the COTG Live Event are coming along great. Taylor, our new editor is knocking it out of the park so far. Here is a view of the entrance for Thantos to give you a taste of what is to come when the DVD is released. No exact date on it yet, but it will be this fall for sure.
