Watching the Super Bowl last night, it really hit me how the FG crew relates well to the New England Patriots, the greatest sports dynasty of all time.
Just like the Patriots do all year long, this team at FG grinds it out. They’re tough physically. They’re tough mentally. They compete with themselves day after day. I can tell you that Tom works this team hard. I know from personal experience that this team comes to work every day. They don't make any excuses. When things didn’t go right, they just roll up their sleeves and get back to work and try to fix them.
It wasn’t always perfect, like last night for the Patriots. But like the Patriots, the FG crew is a group that never stops competing, never stops fighting, and never stops playing. I think the games, for me, is reflective of the entire year, what I see on a daily basis from this group of players and creators.
All the guys work really hard. It’s a big commitment to make these games and it’s a lot of sacrifices and a lot of support from a lot of people that love you and support you. So, probably the most gratifying thing is to see promoters play the games and then to celebrate with your promoters and your loved ones. I’m glad we have the opportunity to do it.
As Tom says, the beginning of OTAs through training camp, every day of the season, the regular season, I don’t think each set turns in one day or with one idea, created in five minutes or anything like that. It's a day by day, practice period by practice period process where we just all work harder to get better and create the greatest game in the galaxy.
It’s a long process. We're not the same FG team in October that we are in September. We aren’t the same team in December that we are in October. We get better on a consistent basis throughout the course of the year. Each game set is a finished product of our hard work and passion.
Just the like Patriots Super Bowl win last night was for them.
