Life sometimes is just too busy so I have decided to shut down my Ontario Indy Scene federations. It was too much to track and run a multiple promotion federation so I have decided to reduce things and keep it simple. The PWA offers something for everyone and I hope to carry that tradition forward with my own booking. Here is the first card results.

Trying to start up a new fed in the heart of my annual 64 man legends event was not the best of ideas. I just could not dedicate enough time/creativity to the fed I decided to reboot before I got too deep.
So here is the first card of my reboot. Hope everyone enjoys the action.
Card 01 – Pure Wrestling Association @ Grange Hall, Lefroy, ON “Live Pro Wrestling”, January 20th year one Shelton Benjamin, Mike Mondo & Bryan Danielson v. Motor City Madmen (Jimmy Jacobs & Rhino) w/Truth Martini & Tommaso Ciampa There is clearly some trust issues between the Madmen and Ciampa before this one gets underway. On the other side of the ring, the trio of Danielson, Mondo and Benjamin get along just fine. Mondo shows his huge heart as he battles the Man Beast in early action. Benjamin superkicks Rhino sending him to the floor. Danielson hits the diving headbutt to a huge pop. Danielson takes Rhino to the mat with a crossface chickenwing. Ciampa is clearly frustrated on the apron as he is not getting tagged into the action and the end comes when Benjamin catches Jacobs with a T-Bone Suplex for the three count. Ciampa is not impressed and leaves ringside on his own before the winner is even announced. (1.5) Time: 2:35
El Generico v. Mike Bennett w/Maria & Brutal Bob This one has the fans on the edge of their seats throughout. Genercio started strong and built on the audiences chants to hit back to back BRAINBUSTAAAHHH! but could only get a 2 ½ count. Maria tripped Generico from the floor and turned the match momentum. Bennett punished Generico with a spear and power moves before hitting the BOX OFFICE SMASH and PHOTO FINISH back to back but it was Generico who kicked out this time after two finishers. The action went in and out of the ring with both men having their moments in control. Generico hits the 450 splash to a huge pop while Bennett again hits a PHOTO FINISH for another near fall. Brutal Bob became involved and tipped the match in Bennett’s favour who hit the BOX OFFICE SMASH followed by yet another PHOTO FINISH for the win. (4.0) 4:42
Dojo Brothers (Roderick Strong & Eddie Edwards) vs. C & C Wrestle Factory (Caprice Coleman & Cedrick Alexander) The fans are split between these two teams as the action gets underway. Strong and Edwards destroy both Coleman and then Alexander for most of the contest which is given plenty of time but either through pin saves or just sure guts C & C Wrestle Factory refuse to go down. Edwards and Coleman end of brawling on the floor. Edwards grabs a chair but before he can use it, Coleman wrestles it away and cracks Edwards with the weapon earning himself a disqualification. The fans groan at the call but the action does not end there. All four men brawl after the bell and back to the dressing room. (2.0) 5:50
Steve Corino v. Michael Elgin The ovation for Elgin is off the charts. Corino gets the advantage early on including an Old School Kick but Elgin rebounds off the ropes and runs through Corino with a lariat. Elgin takes the fight to the floor but this proves costly as Corino is ready and slams Elgin through a ringside table. The bell sounds and Corino has been disqualified. Elgin is left in a heap on the floor while the fans are losing their minds with chants. (1.0) 0:52
Sara Del Rey v. Daizee Haze These two competitors know each other well have both teamed and battled multiple times in the past. Haze should have simply known better then to get too close to Del Rey early on but Del Rey countered a jaw buster with a powerbomb and then planted Haze with a release German suplex for the three count (snake eyes!). (dud) 0:18
Young Bucks (Nick Jackson & Matt Jackson) v. The After Party (Johnny Yuma & Rhett Titus) The fans anticipated some him impact offense in this one and did not leave disappointed. The Bucks set the early pace but were frustrated by some excellently timed defensive tags by the After Party to keep the momentum changing. Nick Jackson gets cut off from his corner and a takes a beating including a pair of tornado DDTs from Yuma that nearly end it. Jackson wins a struggle against Yuma in the corner and knocks him to the mat. Nick Jackson connects with a superkick and then tags in Matt Jackson who crushes Yuma with a MOONSAULT for a 2 count. The Bucks then hit MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK for the comeback win (snake eyes!) (3.0) 4:09
Jay Lethal & Future Shock (Kyle O’Reilly & Adam Cole) v. Team FIST (Icarus, Chuck Taylor & Johnny Gargano) Lethal and Future Shock have the fans solidly behind them and do not disappoint as the cut off Gargano early on. O’Reilly cannot get the win with a GUILLOTINE CHOKE before Cole gets a near fall off a FLYING CROSSBODY. Lethal tags in a dragon suplex sends the action to the floor. Back inside, Lethal hits LETHAL INJECTION. Future Shock prevents the pin save and the referee makes the three count. (1.0) 1:22
Kevin Steen v. Homicide The fans knew that this was not going to be pretty and it was not. It did not take long for the action to go to the floor and Homicide eats the ring post. Homicide does sick colour off the spot and Steen nails him with a PACKAGE PILEDRIVER but cannot get the three count. Steen attacks with a powerbomb on the apron and then connects with back to back F-CINQS for a pair of 2 ¾ counts. Steen cannot believe it and neither can the fans. Steen then unleashes a series of sharpshooters and fisherman busters on the knee before hitting another powerbomb on the apron. A bloodied and battered Homicide refuses to stay down so another F-CINQ was in order but once again Homicide kicked out of the cover. Steen then plants Homicide in the middle of the ring with a tombstone (ch) and that was it. (4.0) 2:20
The next event will be Winter Slam and will feature the opening round of the 16 man tournament to determine the first ever Pure Wrestling Champion. With his destruction of Homicide tonight, Kevin Steen has to be considered the favourite to claim the gold but he will be facing the unpredictable Jimmy Jacobs in the first round and that match will be your main event for Winter Slam at the Royal Canadian Legion in Simcoe, ON.
