I purchased the Original Intro Box Set. I've read through the rules and character book and played a couple matches. I'm very excited to get my fed up and going but a little confused and looking for help. I do see a sample card in the back of one of the booklets - is this a good starting point for my first card? What happens after that? Do I just make up cards as I go on? How long do you play with this set before purchasing another one? Does anyone have a link to a fed that starts in 2087 that I could look at? I'm just looking for loose guidelines to follow. Feeling overwhelmed!
Thanks all!

Let's start simple.
If you don't want to run tourneys for the belts, the sample cards are just fine. Get a feel for the characters before diving in.
Get a new set when you feel you've played out the first one. Could be 12 cards, 24 cards, or 365 cards. Doesn't matter, just have fun and move on when you're ready.
I'm sure there's some 2087 feds out there but I don't any currently otherwise I'd link you to one.

Welcome aboard rynomyyte! The standard answer around here is "It's up to you promoter!" If you like you can follow the feuds and story in the book, and use the sample card, or just do your own thing and make up different cards and feuds as you go along. Also check out the GWF Feds forum I am sure there are a few 2087 feds that you can check out. Above all have fun with what you are doing.

I used the sample card to get my head around the rules, then I started making up my own. There are all sorts of different ways to play. I play to the actual calender year with a weekly Monday Night Show, and a monthly Sunday night PPV. You could do more or less; whatever works for you.
Think of it as you're an "In Character" general manager - the sort you see on screen; not the sort who write the outcomes backstage. What would *you* do?
Play it like an RPG, and let the dice be your GM.

Welcome aboard! When I did a reboot of my fed I would do 12 cards a year until I was around 3-4 years away from being caught up. From there I'd do 24 cards a year and once caught up I went to my current system of 2 cards a week and one ppv a month.
As the others said though, do what makes you comfortable.

I used the handbook as a loose guideline and put my first card together based on some of the matchups I wanted to play. When I look at my fed origins compared to others I wouldn't want it any other way as it is MY history.
While I didn't hold an initial tournament, I felt that the fed wasn't really NEW since there was history in the handbook, so I put a card together that would give me a starting point, but possibly have some link to the handbook's hints of the past.
I do hold an annual tournament just to mix things up and see if I can get feuds on my own along with extending what Tom gives us in the handbooks each game year.
But as you have already heard: It is up to you Promoter! (it really is!)
