Did the game play solo like COTG does?

I would be all for a Marvel vs DC wrestling game. As it has been said, muted powers but still in portion to each other ie Hulk would be strong than Spider Man but Spider Man would be more agile. And the special rolls could be extra cool. Shayne raging would be NOTHING compared to the Hulk lol.

Yep. It sure was/is! =) Would you rather try a "Wrestling" version of the characters or would you like to try the "Superhero" game version? Which you think might be more fun/appealing? I think it might be fun trying a wrestling version of the characters, but obviously they would be significantly down-powered. Personally, I think I'd be more interested in playing the characters in a 'wrestling' scenario... Although it might result in them being less powerful, it would be very interesting to see how different characters fare against each other when placed in a strictly regulated environment... That being said, I have no experience with the 'Heroes' game whatsoever... Either way could be a blast... I''ve never played the Champions game, but would probably buy it if you do release this set as champions. Who knows,we could end up with a whole bootleg scene for this game using Tom's framework. I really don't like the non wrestling characters being made into COTG cards. They usually just seem silly to me,like when Batman does the pedigree or he-man choke slams for his finisher,it's like why? Just so you can cram your favorite comic into a game system never meant for it? I mean, people who do like doing that sort of thing more power to you,but it's just not what I'm into.

From the sounds of it (I don't own it) it's basically just the wrestling game with a few name changes to make it "superheroes" so why does Batarang-3 any different from Batman doing a DDT for instance.

Because Batman uses batarangs a lot more than he DDTs people! The same reason King Kong Bundy doesn't have web slinging listed on his card.
I've actually been thinking about this long before this thread was posted. Rather than into the turnbuckle, you could have throw into a wall chart, outside the ring would be changed to improvised weapons ,death jumps to like ,well still jumping or flying moves but not moonsaults.
Instead of using the feud table at the end,you use it in the beginning. Roll to see if the villain robs a bank, time travels, frames the hero, uses robots, etc.
The reason the wrestling game works so well is the same reason a comic book one would. The genre is rooted in tropes. 2 dice gets you 12 possible results, and there's only really 5 or 6 basic plots in most marvel/DC comics.
The choice charts even translate. Pick up the bus and throw it,which is easy for Superman (-5) but harder for Spider-man (-1) or throw your enemy into the wall, easy for spidey with his (-5) agility.
Even characters like Superman and Wolverine can lose, because a "pin" is now a "knockout" not a death.
