So Saturday night I was rereading the 2130 book and watching TV and in a moment of serendipity Tom's evil master plan all became clear to me. I hope those reading this are sitting down because I am about to drop a HUGE bomb on you. Get ready. The team of Future Shock are....A DANCING CREW. Yep you read right. A dancing crew. On TV was an 80's movie Fast Forward (fast forward like into the Future). It was about a dance crew called, wait for it, the Adventurous Eight (like the Nine Adventures who ended up being eight depending on who you count). Yes I think Tom's plan is to turn Champions of the Galaxy from a dice wrestling game to a dice DANCING COMPETION game. You have been warned!

While continuing to review the 2130 handbook...
Another thing I've realized... Of all the current members of the roster, one of the longest running has got to be Swarm... Is he nearing the end of his career? And if so, here is a point to consider...
Is it possible that Swarm's anger will finally cause him to go head-to-head with the fiercest Ani-Man of all-time? MONOLITH! That would most definitely be the most ambitious rivalry Swarm has ever taken on... And perhaps a worthy note upon which to send him into retirement...
Unrelated to the above... A little trivia... The Dark Menace was heard to make this statement: " He's an asset and I want him." To whom was he referring? And what are the odds that he'll get him. Would LOVE to see it!

I agree with you about Swarm, he's so due for an update. Love the character and would like to see a final push before a retirement.

Another interesting thing when it comes to the GWF character cards themselves...
Has anyone noticed that only two characters are still using cards that are not entirely devoted to their artwork? Meaning that they have their names scrolling along the bottom...
Hmmmm... Maybe it would be cool to get updates for that simple fact alone... Or maybe one could retire and the other get an update... Something like that...

Oops, my bad. You got to admit it would be a direction none of us would see coming. By the way what you should have been picturing is the video for Beat It. Just imagine Endgame and Monolith in cheesy 80's clothing, face to face as they dance. |

If Swarm were to retire the only two Ani-men I can see leading it is either Monolith or Prime Colonizer. I don't think Monolith is in the position to ever want to be a leader since he is always looking out for himself. IF Monolith did ever get a new card with a more Ani-men theme to him it would have to look so badass, else it would come off so cheesy. As far as Prime Colonizer becoming the leader of a whole new Ani-men team, I think I would rather like this route and take the group to new heights. Prime Colonizer could bring in some new more vicious ani-men like a wolverine ani-men, kodiak bear ani-men, etc. The Ani-men have become a joke that I dont even think bringing back Wolf could help. |
