Funny, I always liked Encubus. Sorta like Bloodline. Loved Star Warrior and Alpha Force. I so geeked when each one was advertised for the upcoming editions.

I wonder what the future will be in the GWF? After the next couple of game editions, how many cards will be retired before getting an update.

Which wrestlers do ya feel needs the updates the most that have fallen behind since newer wrestlers get mechanics built into their cards?

IMO..... There are TOO many 'mechanics' and not enough basics. Simplicity is sometimes the best, maybe why so many like the classics better than the current product.

Agreed, I hate at times trying to remember all the mechanics involved in each card. And for the updates, how about any card that hasn't changed since 2124 and 2125.

Good solid cards are all that are needed for proper updates. The mechanics far too often get in the way and slow things down. Its all pomp and no circumstance. Mechanics are not needed to make an intriguing character or a top notch star. Stick to the basics. That being said, the Overmaster needs an update and Turmoil should take a step up to main event singles star. I would like to see Harbinger evolve as well.

This is why I think Paganax's most recent card is one of the best in recent history. No fancy mechanics, just a good solid card. I often think, you know what would be truly groundbreaking these days in the GWF? A manager or valet card with JUST a distractor rating. Great point KB. |
