Personally, I love card mechanics... To the point, that I have spent alot of time creating my own just for fun... I guess I just have more of a free-thinking attitude when it comes to the game... I've always felt that you should use whatever rules that you feel work best for you and discard whatever doesn't work for you... Or, simply make adjustments to the existing rules as you see fit... I'm not all that concerned about the purity of my results - I just want to have as much fun as possible... After all, the true foundation of this game is YOUR imagination... It's not like Clue or Monopoly, where you have a defined objective with a regulated course that must be followed to get there... This game is so unique because it's not a competition - It's a way to set your mind free, without worrying about the route or the destination... In relation to the thread topic, I think that Crossbones had some truly awesome ideas... But, I'm still really hoping for an alternate reality version of Raven (maybe he could show up with an alternate version of Iron Mane and they could form a duo that joins Minister of War... i.e. races that in this reality were oppressed by the Aethrans actually joined with the Aethrans in another dimension - just a quick thought)...

I'm with you 100% on this. I always adjust rules to what fits best for me. Sometimes it depends on the time I have to play. Sometimes it depends on who I want to win. I mean as the "GM/Owner" I should book how I want. The vast majority of the time I let the dice decide and often get a result I was not hoping for. But once in a great while I influence the outcome somewhat. Then again I am the guy that uses cards from all years and all feds and ones I created and recycle duplicate cards all in the same feds.

After all, the true foundation of this game is YOUR imagination... Nailed it. I had a whole post typed up about this here yesterday and gave up on posting it. We're only talking about two 6 sided dice here. We all use the same tools, same two dice, same charts, yet we all have VASTLY different feds. Why? Our imaginations. Simply put, a mechanic has to make sense for the character. Just slapping one on a guy just to slap one on there can hurt a card. I think of good examples of both. With BD done those guys need to all go or get new cards.

I agree with you Swarm, though I do like the BD version of Endgame. When it comes to title matches he just can't seem to lose the GWF title. Where his old versions of cards couldn't win a match for me.

I was going back over the Future Shock 2130 booklet, who do we think BD Endgame will side with the GWF, Future Shock or the new ship coming? My guess is the new ship thats coming.

Didn't Adam Blast and Ms. Liberty have a son? How awesome would that be to have him come in and beat down this alt. version of his dad? On the topic of second generation wrestlers, this would be one of the coolest... Maybe he could come in and team up with Overtime to feud with The Deserters...

Well this is certainly interesting... Tom's Tweet
#FutureShock2131 looking like three 4-packs, different themes. #COTG
