I just got back from the this show at the Silverton Casino.
Here are some results:
Mike DaLite vs Funnybone ended in a no contest with a weapons match rematch scheduled for the next show.
Los Pistoleros (Tito Escondido and Che Cabrera) won their tag match
Kid Vegas defeated Leon Hater and J-Cash
Vegas Originals defeated BFFs. I was glad to see the Vegas Originals back in the ring again tonight, they've been away I think for about a year and a half.
Willie Mack defeated Jeff Cobb. This was a rematch from their Semi-Finals in the King of the Indies tournament back in March in the Bay Area during Mania weekend. Mack and Cobb indeed really do have great chemistry when they wrestle each other. Once again, Mack won this matchup. Although I think I may have liked their match from King of the Indies a little better, I still thought this was a great match tonight and I am really glad this time I had a front row center seat to watch it live.
Jakob Austin Young defeated Ryan Taylor in the No Limits Tournament Finals to win the vacant No Limits Championship. Along with Mack vs Cobb tonight, this was one of my favorite matches that I have seen in FSW all year. Jakob Austin Young is now becoming a regular on CWFH and I think he has a bright future.
FSW Tag Team Champions Reno Scum retained over PPrAy. Although Ray Rosas has wrested for FSW before, PPrAy were making their FSW debut as a tag team in this match. Good to see PPrAy in FSW, but I am also glad Reno Scum retained.
FSW Champion Brian Cage (accompanied by his manager- the self proclaimed "most powerful Jew in all of Las Vegas"- Stu Stone) defeated Kenny King, Tyshaun Prince, and Kevin Kross. The main story in this match was Kross turning on Cage and Stone, but Cage prevailed and retained the FSW Championship. Good to see current X Division Champion Kenny King back in an FSW ring for the first time in awhile! Afterward, former FSW Champion Shaun Ricker (who was doing guest commentary for this match) entered the ring to give Cage his FSW Championship but the two exchanged some words and it looks like it is going to be Cage vs Ricker for the FSW Championship in the near future.
Both before the show and after the show tonight, I briefly got to talk to Adam Thornstowe of Reno Scum. Thornstowe, who won this year's King of the Indies tournament during Mania weekend, is one of my favorite West Coast based wrestlers so it was really cool to get to talk to him once again.
This was FSW's 6th anniversary. I've been going to FSW for all 6 of those years (since 2009) but this was definitely one of my favorite FSW shows ever.

Yesterday, before this show, David Marquez said this on Facebook:
"If you're in Las Vagas tonight, go celebrate 6 years of Future Stars Of Wrestling, undoubtably the best pro wrestling show in the area! Joe DeFalco and company re-pioneered the territory with their Sam's Town and Silverton Casino cards. I'm proud to be associated with these guys and wishing them nothing but the best!"
FSW is indeed better than Paragon Pro (the Portland based fed that for some reason uses Las Vegas for all of their TV tapings) and the other feds based here.
Last night it was standing room only at the Silverton as FSW had yet another sellout. It really does indeed seem as if "the Fight Capital of the World" Las Vegas- for a long time mostly just a hotbed of UFC/MMA and boxing- is indeed experiencing a local wrestling revival as in addition to FSW in the next 7 weeks the WWE and ROH are also returning here and Global Force has its first 3 TV taping here (and TV tapings here too in August and October.)
